Ruby has been so excited this past week to start using the toilet. We got her some big girl underwear and now she thinks she needs to go to the bathroom every five minutes. This week I was feeding the babies and Ruby needed to use the bathroom but I couldn't help her, so I told her to just go but she didn't want to go without me. So she brought the potty into the room where I was and now she thinks she needs to bring it in here every time she uses the bathroom. This morning the kids were dressed ready to go to swim school and incomes the toilet and a big smile on Rubys face.

3 month old twins
Where is the time going?!? It has been so fun to watch these little cuties getting so big. Many afternoons we go for a walk around the neighborhood and I just keep thinking what a miracle it is that we have twins. I feel so blessed to be their mother.

Why not??? Please don't judge
Yes, while we were in Utah over the 4th of July Gordon woke us up in the middle of the night crying because he couldn't find his binkie. While we were there I was up a lot with the twins feeding them during the night so the last thing I wanted was Gordon waking in the night crying about a silly binkie. I told Eric I needed him to run to the store and buy a whole bunch of binkies I mean a WHOLE BUNCH! Eric being the great and obedient husband that he is ran to the store and did just that. Gordon was over the moon excited when Eric came back with a boat load of binkies which we sprinkled all throughout his bed. Luckily that was the last time he woke us up that trip complaining about a missing binkie.
It's pretty funny though watching Gordon with his binkie. He knows it's not "cool" to have one so if he sees a friend he takes it out of his mouth and hides it or hides it behind his doggy. Oh this funny and darling little boy. I wonder when he will grow out of it. It could be a lot worse I keep telling myself and there are a lot of other battles I'm willing to fight, this isn't one of them.

Families are FOREVER
How grateful I am that I have this family and that we get to be together FOREVER. I get to stare at these little faces forever and that makes my heart so happy. While we were in Utah we blessed Dallin and Lily and how wonderful that was.
I love the song Families Can Be Together Forever, what a blessing it surely is:

2 year old Ruby
This little girl is sure a cutie-pie. We feel so blessed that she is part of our family. She continues to make us smile, laugh, and even occasionally roll our eyes with her, "I do it," personality.
Ruby is an independent little girl and wants to do just about everything herself. From putting on her own pull up, picking our her outfit, dressing herself, buckling herself in her car seat... you name it and Ruby wants to do it herself.
She especially wants to do just about everything for the twins as well. If there is a diaper that needs to be changed, little Rue is there and wants in on the action. If there is a baby to be burped, yes Rue is there and wanting to do that as well. She loves to read to the babies and every page she turns starts out the same way, "One day..." then she turns the page and begins again, "One day..." We are sure crazy about our Ruby girl.

Love me some more PB & J
The twins continue to get cuter and cuter each day and Gordon and Ruby just love them to pieces. It is such a delight to see how much they love these little babies. Every time the babies smile at "the big kids" they just get the biggest kick out of it.
Gordon still loves little Lily to pieces.
After I was finished feeding the babies the other day, Gordon and Ruby came in the room and wanted to see and play with them, so precious! I hope their love for each other will never end.

Rubys rats nest & sick Rue
This little cutie has great hair but she screams every time we try to brush it. So as you can see we don't get to brush it enough and it ends up turning into this complete rats nest. I remember as a little girl loving having my hair brushed (or at least I think I did).
Rue with her fever, poor baby.
Poor Ruby also caught the dreaded sickness that Gordon had last week so she has been waking up coughing and has been whining a ton...not fun. Dallin had a temperature and Lily has been coughing and sneezing up a storm today. Let's hope this passes soon.
Just waking up from a nap.
Try and get a brush through that mess!

Three-month-old twins
Dallin and Lily are getting big so fast. Dallin weights about 11 1/2 pounds and Lily is about 10 pounds. We are getting lots of cute smiles from them and Gordon Ruby continue to be enamored by their new brother and sister.
Ruby reads to the twins just about every morning and anytime she hears one of the babies cry she says, "Mommy baby crying baby crying." Ruby is such a great big sister and Gordon is an awesome big brother. The twins are still sleeping in their little swings at night and are sleeping for 2 to 3 hour stretches during the night and occasionally we get a four hour stretch which is bliss. The last few weeks I feel like I've started to emerge a little bit more which feels so nice. How grateful I am to be a mother of four, I still can't believe I have four kids!!

Summer salad
On the night of Gordons preschool graduation one of the parents made this super yummy salad. I tried to duplicate it and ended up eating just about the whole thing in one sitting. Basically you just chop up a variety of fruits and vegetables. I threw in an apple, some grapes, a mini cucumber, carrots, celery, a few handfuls of dried cranberries, a red pepper and anything else I could find in the refrigerator. Next, I sprinkled white Balsamic vinegar from Trader Joes, some olive oil, salt & pepper and for the final touch some goat cheese (also got this from TJ's). Wallah you've got yourself one tasty salad! Eat and enjoy!
Sick Goosey
Gordon has been battling a cold this week and even stayed home from school on Monday. I've decided that there isn't anything better than good health. Eric took him to the doctor because of his high fever but they said it was a cold and that it will pass. I'm grateful that we are generally a pretty healthy family.
Recovering from having the twins has once again given me a renewed appreciation for good health. How thankful I am when I feel healthy. Here's to many more healthy and happy days!!
I found this and it made me laugh. It's not Rubys, Dallin's, or Lily's... Which leaves one little boy!!

We are 11 weeks old
Dallin and Lily are 11 weeks old today! Time is sure flying by and it is so fun to watch them getting bigger and bigger each and every week. We are starting to get some cute smiles from them, some longer sleeping stretchs at night, more of a predictable schedule during the day, and lots of sweet baby sounds.

Freedom Day Run
We spent the past week in Utah and had a wonderful time with our families. Both Eric's family and mine were there to share in the 4th of July festivities.
All of our crew minus Christian who ran the 10k.

The new Provo temple under construction
One of my favorite 4th of July traditions is participating in the Provo Freedom Day run. This year I walked it with my sister in-law and it was just great. All of Eric's siblings joined in on the fun this year and even my niece too. I'm already looking forward to next years 5k race.

The twins baby blessing
Today Eric bless our little babies Dallin and Lily at church in Midway Utah. There is a power outage as we enter the church so there are no lights on in the building. It was drizzling outside in just two minutes before the meeting is about to begin the power went on. Elder Nelson one of the apostles from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints attended the meeting where he participated in blessing one of his grandchildren. Despite the fact that Gordon Ruby were a little bit rambunctious it was a nice meeting and Eric did a great job blessing our little children.

We spent the day splashing and playing around in the water and my parents picked up a delicious dinner and we had ice cream cake for dessert, what more could I ask for! I feel blessed beyond belief.
