Who Needs Chestnuts?

Hello there.  I was able to get another card made today.  We had an outdoor concert at church tonight and then Kierstynne had a baton twirling parade tonight.  It was pretty neat.  All of the floats were covered in twinkling lights and the girls' batons were glow batons.  It didn't start until 9:00 pm or so.

I made a Christmas card with a cute image from Doodle Pantry called Candy Cane Ants.

These are some cute ants for sure.  I didn't like the way they had just dots for eyes so I redid them with a white gel pen and a black Zig marker.  The papers are all from My Mind's Eye.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have a great Sunday and God bless.

I really like the way the sky turned out.  I tried something new and it looks like a real sky.  I used papers from a DCWV My Guy stack.

Potty Time

Good Morning again.  Thanks for joining me today.  I have another card that I created this morning.  I've been home alone since yesterday afternoon.  My husband is away on his annual guys weekend in Philly and my daughter is at her great grandmother's.   It's been so quiet.  Lots of crafting time. :)

This card is a bit out of the norm for me.  Lots of parts.  I used a pre colored image from Doodle Pantry called Potty, hence the title of this post.

In order to fit all the pieces on this card, I made it a 5x7 size.  I like the way it came out.  I did follow a sketch to create it. I also used my new paper pad, Barnwood Pretty, on this one.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate it.  Take care and God bless.

Motorcycle Mania

Good Mornin' Friends.  I was able to go shopping yesterday for some new supplies. Mostly I picked up some organizing items.  I have made so many cards that I have an over abundance.  So, I bought 5  16qt. tubs to store them in.  I think I will make up sets of cards for Christmas presents this year.  I also found some really good deals at Jo Ann's.  Almost everything I bought was on sale.  I bought my first set of Gelatos today.  I used them to make my card for this post.  I also found the most beautiful paper pad at Hobby Lobby.  It's called Barnwood Pretty from the Paper Studio and I can't wait to use some of the papers.  All of the Spare Parts embellishments were on sale for 50% off.  Yep, I made out like a bandit.

I used images from Doodle Pantry called Motorcycle Mania to create my card.  I also used the Ombre Technique.

I really like the way the Gelatos work.  I used a paintbrush and water to blend the colors together.  I watched a video on Youtube that shows how you can use your fingers to blend them too.

Thank you for checking out what I created today.  Have a wonderful Saturday.  God bless.

I used a precolored digi for this card.  I die cut him with Spellbinders and added a sentiment from the set.  The card stock is Recollections and the patterned paper is DCWV.  There's not too much to say about this card.  It was pretty quick and easy.

Doodle Pantry Monthly Progressive Challenge

Hello my friends.  I hope today finds you well.  I have been working hard in my craft room the past couple of days and this is one of the cards I have created.

This cutie is from the Berry Mice digital set.  For those of you who don't understand how the Progressive Challenge works, let me give you a quick explanation. When you join, you must purchase your first set.  That set can be which ever Doodle Pantry image you like.  Make your creation and link it to the current challenge.  Once you do that, you will receive through email the featured set for the month.  When you receive your set, make your card from it and post it on the next challenge.  This is an ongoing challenge and as long as you make a project for the month, you will receive the next set of images.  It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

To begin, the image and sentiment were printed out on Neenah card stock.  I then chose two different DP, one from American Crafts and one from Colorbok.  The Purple card stock is from Colorbok.  I followed an old sketch from MFT to make this card. The lacy scallop strip is Martha Stewart.  I used my Lacy Circles and Classic Circles Large Spellbinder Dies to die cut the center circles.  I then fussy cut the mouse and bowl of blueberries and used pop dots to add them to the center.  I matted the sentiment onto a piece of the purple card stock and added it to the top right square.

I hope y'all enjoyed this little sweetie and will take the time to join Doodle Pantry Progressive Challenge this month.  God bless y'all.

DoodlePantry Monthly Challenge

Good Afternoon Friends.  I hope everyone's week got off to a great start.  School is less than a month from ending and I cannot wait.  I am so done with this school year.  I'm praying next year will be much better.

The card I have for y'all this post uses one of the cutest little birds I have ever seen.  It is a Doodle Pantry pre-colored digi and background.

Isn't he just a cutie?  I love the cornstalks too.  I printed out the image and an extra farmer bird on GP card stock.  I cut around the second bird and used pop dots to add him to the back ground.  The background paper is from the same set.  I matted everything on a Delightful Daffodil card stock from SU.  The sentiment is from the set and matted on the same yellow card stock.

Thanks for stopping by to visit today.  I will be back either tonight or tomorrow with some more eye candy for y'all.  God bless.

An Anniversary Waltz

I have an anniversary card y'all this morning.  The image is a Doodle Pantry image that I colored with my American Craft's Chromatix markers.  I also used my BIC markers for some of the elements.

I started this card with a card base made from SU Basic Black.  I used a piece of fancy paper from DCWV that I have been hoarding. My daughter keeps threatening to call the show Hoarders if I don't start using up my stash.  I keep telling her I'm not a hoarder that I'm a collector, but she doesn't buy it.  I also die cut a piece of silver glitter card stock to mat the image on.  I inked the edges of the image with DI Vintage Photo and used some ribbon from Offray.  To finish up the card, I added some black pearls from Queen and CO.

Thanks for looking at my project.  I truly appreciate it.  God bless y'all.

Pig Me Up

Hi there.  I have one more card for y'all.  I left this one on my desk, so I forgot to post it earlier.  This cute little card uses a Doodle Pantry image which I colored with my colored pencils after printing it on Neenah Super Smooth White card stock.

I used this cute little piggy on another card, but I'm in love with him.  I decided to make this one black with a little white patch on his eye.

I began this card with a Basic Black (SU) card base.  I actually made a standard size A2 card this time.  The background DP is DCWV All Girl pack.  I matted the image on a Pink panel from Recollections after rounding the two right side corners.  I also rounded the pink corners.  I added a piece of pink and black polka dot ribbon from The Ribbon Boutique.  It's one of the spools of ribbon that I bought at Hobby Lobby on Saturday for $1.84.  I added three pink gems from Queen and Co. to finish it off.

Thanks for looking at my newest creation.  I hope y'all love this little oinker as much as I do.  God bless.

New Mercies

Good Morning friends.  I hope y'all are enjoying your Saturday.  It's 4:15 am in the morning here, so I'm sure most of you aren't up yet.  I haven't gone to bed yet.  The Sandman past right by my house again.

Today's card uses a digi from A Day for Daisies.

Isn't this just a sweet little image.  I am loving my new Neenah card stock.  I used my BIC markers on this image too.  Love, love, love it..  The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry.  They have some wonderful Christian sentiments on their site..HERE.  They also have lots of Freebies for you to try.

The card base is a nice chocolate brown from HOTP.  The DP is from DCWV.  I added some blue gems to finish it off.

Thanks so much for taking a look.  God bless y'all.

Hogs and Kisses

Good evening my friends.  I hope y'all's Thursday was a good one.  Tomorrow is Friday and since I am leaving for VA, I am posting the last of my challenge cards tonight. I won't post again until Monday, so I hope y'all have a great weekend.

This first card is a cutie.  At least I think so.  This one is for all my country girlfriends out there.  Even if you ain't the least bit country, y'all have to find this card cuter than a bug's ear.

See, I told ya.  Cute as a pigs ear, right?  This adorable little guy is from Doodle Pantry.  I love the stamps you can find there.  I think I'm hooked.  My digi file folder is overflowing.

Putting this card together was very simple.  It looks like alot, but it's actually not.  One DP, two CS , some coloring and a little fussy cutting.  That's it.  The DP is Studio G from last year.  To get the swirls and little hearts, I just cut them out of scraps of the DP and colored them with a light pink BIC Marker and added glitter gel pen.  I used a black card base from SU, a piece of pink and white DP as a small mat and printed my image on Gina K White.   And of course, cutie is colored with my colored pencils and OMS.

Thanks so much for stoppin' in today.  I hope y'all have a great night.  God bless.

4.25" Card

Howdy y'all.  I'm back with another post for today.  I am trying to get everything posted and linked up because I am going to Virginia tomorrow to visit my dad.  He isn't doing to well.   Back in October he had is knee replaced and had alot of problems with it healing.  While he was in rehab, he started bleeding internally and they couldn't figure out why.  After running some tests they found out his prostate is messed up and he had colon cancer.  Last week he went in for surgery for the colon cancer.  He came through that beautifully and the surgeon said she got it all and it hadn't spread.  Two days ago, he had a mini stroke which left his right arm pretty much useless.  I feel the urge to go and visit with him.  It's been over a year since I have seen him.  I don't want to put off a visit and then have to live with a load of guilt if anything were to happen to him.  So, my husband took tomorrow off and we are leaving in the morning to go for a visit.  Please keep my dad in your prayers.  He needs all of them he can get.

Now, on to the cards.  I made a cute one using an image that I found online for free.  I colored it teal with my colored pencils.  I added some glitter gel pen to the lace part of the bra.  I used a blue glitter gel pen to fill in the ribbon.  The sentiment is from Scrapalicious.

I used a medium shade of blue from Colorbok for the card base.  I found two scraps of blue in my stash and matted them onto white card stock.  I cut out a scalloped circle with my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities and then ran it through the Swiss Dot EB.  I used pop dots to adhere the bra on top of the circle.  I finished the card and looked back at my list where I realized it was supposed to be a CAS card.  This isn't very simple although it's clean.  So, I made another card.

This is a CAS card.  I used a beautiful burgundy card base from Colorbok.  I printed out this Scripture from Doodle Pantry onto GP white card stock.  I matted it on light pink from Recollections.  I added a lacy circle die cut and wrapped a piece of pink satin ribbon around the front.  I added the sentiment with pop dots and this CAS card was finished.

I need to pay more attention to my list.  But, I have another card to add to my stash because of my mistake.

Thank you for stopping in today.  I hope y'all have a great day.  I am going to try and finish up the few challenges I have left on my list and get them uploaded before I leave.  If not, I won't be posting again until Monday, so you guys have a great weekend if I don't see ya before.  God bless.

Little Princess

Good Morning y'all.  Can you believe it?  I am actually posting during the daylight hours. :)  Shocking, isn't it?

Today's card is a sweet baby card.  I used a Digi Darla image.  I used my colored pencils for this image.

I think this is a sweet little image.  The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry.  I merged the two images to make one and trimmed them to 3.25"x 4".  I used a beautiful green card stock from Colorbok and a light pink from Recollections as mats for the image.  The green DP is from DCWV and the pink DP is from Bo Bunny.  The only embellishments are the flowers in the corner.  They are from Recollections.  I used the same green card stock for the card base.

Thank you for taking the time to stop in today.  I hope y'all have a great Thursday.  God bless.
