I actually made the cat portion of this card a long time ago, and it just didn't fit on the card I was making at the time, so I set it aside. This is not my typical kind of color combo, but I thought it was interesting and sort of monochromatic in a sense - cameo coral and regal rose. I used the blender pen to add color to the cat, in hopes of making it look somewhat like my Bailey, but of course, the real thing is MUCH prettier! Happy Monday!

Ready to stamp!
It's Saturday morning, and Bailey is ready to stamp! For some reason, she really enjoys sitting on my stampin scrub....oh well, she just likes to be close! I'll get to stamping soon, but I'm going to make a run to Half Price Books, Sam's, Michael's and a few other places first. Depending on the time, I might do some baking too! My kind of Saturday!
Yesterday, I received Girl Scout Cookies in the mail from my mom! They were available here a while ago, and I just didn't make a point to get any, and then I regretted it. The sale season is a little different in Iowa, so she could still get them when I was complaining that I'd missed out. Thanks Mom!
Christa and I have been working out this week - 3.5 miles on the elliptical machine 2 days! That's quite an accomplishment for me. We want to go three days. So far no weight loss, but it takes time.

Here, Kitty Kitty
I received the "Here, Kitty Kitty" stamp set for Christmas last year but really haven't done much with it since it required water coloring. I'm dabbling in water coloring a little more now and made these two cards. On the first card, the H is a Thicker, and the other letters are either stamps or handwritten. Kristina Werner makes it look soooo easy to just hand write stuff, but in real life, it's not....oh well, at least I tried!

Cat Chat
During our cruise in November, we stopped in Key West at the Ernest Hemingway home/museum to see the polydactyl (meaning extra digits) cats. Check out the six toes! There were 48 cats living there when we visited, so we spent some time trying to find all of them. I suspect we saw about half...but it was lots of fun looking!
Sometimes they are called "mitten cats". According to the book I purchased, I think this one's name is either Shine or Rita Hayworth. They all have very interesting names!
Note: I'll be back to posting about stamping very soon! I made 6 cards today...can't wait to show you!

Funny Cat Story
Check out Taylored Expressions blog and the story about her cat Morris. You have to read this post for the story, and then check out THIS post for the pic. Maybe this is his Halloween costume? I guess you have to be a cat lover to appreciate this story....poor kitty! But his little "boots" are pretty cute!

More Bailey
Two more Bailey pages. The lettering and the little swirly cut outs were done on the Cricut. We had the use of the Cricut and several cartridges at the retreat. The stamp set is Seeing Spots. It's one of my first stamp sets, and probably one of my favorites, although it's been a while since I've used it. I'll have to get it out again very soon!

Bailey Pages
Here's a couple scrapbook pages I made of Bailey. Both of these were made back in July at the retreat. Check back tomorrow for a couple more!
