Family Cards

My family has been visiting this week hense the lack of blog posting. It's been busy between working some and playing some more! Last night they humored me and we made cards! Check them out below.....
Mom......
Sister.......

And even Dad made a card! (He really did make it himself, just didn't think he needed his picture with it, so here's just a pic of the card.) I get my creative gene's from him :-)

See you next week!

Pink Pink Pink

I had a unexpectedly busy weekend and then was out of town for a couple days, so sorry for the delay on posting the rest of my valentine cards. I'm really enjoying the Cuttlebug embossing folders...can you tell?

If you're tired of pink, I understand. I should be back to the rest of the rainbow pretty soon. :-)

Happy Valentine's Day!

I made these cupcakes early yesterday morning and I think they turned out pretty good! I expected the cupcake papers to show up better, but I guess I should have known better since I made red velvet cake. This was the first time I used my Wilton cupcake stand.

I also made these clear pillow boxes with the big shot. They were very easy to make and could easily be customized to any occasion!

Stitched Sweet Saffron

This card is a random combination of a few different things. I got to play with Jeannie's stampin around wheels for the background, then used the top note Big Shot die on the designer paper, then cut out some stitched exotics in ruby red, baja breeze, and so saffron...inspired from the SU Sweet Slumber designer paper. Kristina used that paper in this card. I'm sure you'll be seeing more of that color combo in the near future.
Happy Hump Day!

You take the cake!

Another card made at the scrapbooking retreat....the color combo was inspired partially by the "Hoppy Memories" simply scrappin' kit. While there are many (believe it or not) things I wouldn't buy in the catalog, some of those items are still great to see for inspiration. I think that's why they call it an "idea book" and catalog....... :-)
The sentiment is from Party Hearty again (I got some good use out of Jeannie's set and the top die note that weekend) and of course, the cupcake is from my Big Bold Cupcakes set.
Speaking of cupcakes, no one guessed which sizzlits I'm waiting patiently to arrive....perhaps I need to give a cupcake to the first correct guesser?

One more.....

Here's one more card using the Party Hearty stamp set and the retired Junior Varsity designer paper. The inspiration for this card came from Karen Giron. On these last three cards I've posted, I used Nestibilities with my Big Shot to cut the circles. I was iffy on whether I wanted a Big Shot for quite a while, but I'm very glad I have it and have had lots of fun using it so far. I'm also excited about some new SU Big Shot sizzlits that should be arriving very soon...any guesses as to which one's I'm talking about? :-)

Party Hearty

Here's the second card inspired by THIS card on splitcoast. I'm trying to use more designer paper in my cards because I've realized each pack comes with so much paper! Especially when you're just using small pieces on cards, it goes on and on and on......

Bad Blogger!

I've been a very bad blogger last week. I'm sorry, but I have big bloggin' plans for this week, so I hope you didn't give up on me!
Below is a card I made last weekend at a scrapbooking retreat that Jeannie and I attended. I made a total of 27 cards, and 4 scrapbook pages. It was lots of fun and I especially enjoyed trying out some of my new toys (and sharing some of Jeannie's toys!). I made 2 cards inspired by THIS card I found in the splitcoast gallery. Stop back tomorrow to see the other card!

I'm tired!

Hey everyone...it's been a fun weekend so far, but I'm tired! Not sure if I'll get any cards/scrapbook pages posted later today....we'll see. Jeannie and I attended a crop at a church here in CS with some other ladies and had a great time. I ended up making way more cards than scrapbook pages which didn't really surprise me, but I somehow need to get this scrapbook finished! When will that happen?!?!!?

Thanks also to Jennifer for the blog candy! Her little girl S drew my name...you have to check out the pics...she's adorable!

I'm also planning to do my taxes today! Fun Fun :-)
