I got quite a lot done on the Junka since the initial post. All the armor plates are on, all the rivets have been drilled and glued in, guns have been magnetized.
To do:
1. finish the back of the tank. I need to do the exhaust system and possible a rear hatch.
2. a few misc details like hand holds, some green stuff weld lines.
3. Find a suitable tank driver and attach the hatch.
4. I've got a deff rolla I thought about adding to it but I may bother.
5. Find grot gunner for big shoota sponsoon.
6. Paint!
The stats are: Ard case, 1 big shoota, 2 KMB and one big zzappa. 140 points
With the KMB and big zzappa that give me up to 5 times a turn to over heat! I have a fairly good shot and killing my own tank just by firing it. :D that sounds orky to me!
This is a blog of misc figures I've painted, I am working on,scratch builds and commissions.

Kromlech Tank Bustas
I've always been a fan of Tank Bustas, even then they stunk, now they are awesome so I thought I should celebrate by getting some new awesome Tank Busta models.
These figures have so much character! I have another unit of Tank Bustas I converted using the same heads and arms but these guys blow mine away. The rokket heads are all swappable so you can really make the whole mob look unique. The back packs with extra rokkets are a great touch as well.
Here's shot of the squad minus the Nob which I haven't converted yet.

Pulsa Rokket for Apoc Games
I play fairly large games pretty often. I've got several super heavies for the orks already but I've always loved the Pulsa Rokket. I've got several of the original ones in fact. They are quite small compared to this one though.
I bought this from Maxmini. Its been out for quite a while and I have wanted one for a long time. I know the current apoc books dont have the rules but the guys I play with are really laid back so we can usually accommodate just about anything. So I will use the old rules and probably tweak the points a bit to reflect some of the changes to 40k and Apoc.
The casting is superb! I was expecting it to be a little rough since its one of their earlier releases but its so crisp and clean I will have to muck it up a bit to make it more orky. :)
I love the pad lock on the cockpit so that the hapless grot can't escape.

Da Orks are 'eaded to Skool!
I've been wanting to get this model for a long time and finally got around to it. Its the War Bus from Puppetswar miniatures. This is one of there first larger kits and it shows. The model is not the same quality as the stuff produced recently but its okry so a lot of the issues don't really matter.
I'm not sure about the wheel. They are really tiny and look pretty silly. So silly in fact that I may just use them. I've also thought about replacing them with different wheels. I haven't decided yet. I'll get some mock up pics with the different options and see what looks best.
I was initially planning to run this as a BW but its a little small so I may just run it as a trukk instead. I'm thinking the bad moon mega nobs can ride in it.
This is a pic for scale.

Test models for the new orks - PIP
After painting ork vehicles for a while I felt the boyz were feeling neglected so I thought I would paint some of them up. I couldn't decide what to paint so I just took 3 different units to try out the paint schemes I had in mind.
First one is an ork boy. I call them the mad boys even though mad boys dont exist in the rules anymore. If they did, however, these guys would be a great fit. These guys are built from kromlech legs and torsos, GW arms and Spellcrow heads. These are Goffs so I stuck with the standard black and red for them. Not sure what color to do the mohawks though. Any ideas?
The second modeis an ork in 'eavy armour. This is a Kromlech figure from top to bottom. It always annoyed me that the GW ard boys didn't have any armour on their legs or arms. You can buy just the arms to put on GW figures too but I figured I would get the whole models for something different. I'm not sure what color to do the armour plates but I am thinking blue since I plan to have them riding in the blue trukks. Deffskulls would fit in nicely with the rest of the Waaagh!.
Third model is one of my other tank bustas. These guys a obviously Blood Axes. I've got a couple of units of shoota boys and some kommandos as well for the blood axes. Any ideas on what his face should be painted. I could leave it tan but it seems like an ork would paint the face mask to look scary. I was thinking of painting a skull on the mask like the DKOK guys.
I decided against the entire army belonging to a single clan for two reasons. One, orks Waaaghs! are always made up of a mic of clans that come together under a powerful warboss. Two, its much more fun to paint varying schemes when doing orks since there are so many models that need to be painted.
So in the end I sat down with 10 tank busta, 10 mad boys and 5 ard boys to paint at once. While one batch is drying I'm painting the next batch.

3 Ork trukks finished
My orky mojo has been humming lately. I finished painting up 3 ork trukks that I started a while back. One of them still needs to have its gun replaced. I may actually end up replacing them all because I dont really like the way they look. I'm not sure trukks are all that great in the new codex but that's okay, they are nice and cheap at least.
This one I have plans to turn into a flakka dakka trukk which is why its got the tracks in the rear. They dont look great but it was a quick and dirty job.
