Courtney and Justin are having a baby :)

This morning Courtney and Justin took advantage of my bluebonnet mini-sessions for some pre-baby maternity photos. We had so much fun and they even brought along their dog Shiner. Here's a little sneak peek :)
I really love this bluebonnet field. It's amazing.
 Baby's coming soon :)
 Love this one
A silhouette and a romantic moment in the flowers.
 ...and the cute puppy!
Thanks for spending the morning with me Courtney and Justin! I hope you love your photos.

Last of the puppy in the snow photos

So I tried and tried yesterday to get my dog to run out in the snow and play but she was just not into it. I love my little puppy and the things she does just crack me up. She very carefully followed me out into the snow stepping only in my footprints until she saw the patches of concrete under the patio chairs. Then she veered off course, got on the concrete and refused to move. I had to actually pick her up to get her back inside. Silly Puppy :)

More Snow

So my dog is not the biggest fan of the snow. I let her outside in the back and she stayed on the concrete patio...so we put on the leash and went out front. She was not really sure what to do, but she definitely did not want her feet to touch the snow. We went back inside pretty quickly as she was having none of it.
Then later I decided I needed to take some cool flower photos in the snow (yes I will post them later) and she begged to come outside with me. She spent most of the time on the patio again but right before I came inside she got brave and checked it out a little bit.

What is this cold wet stuff?
If I hide under the little table maybe the snowflakes won;t hit me.
FINALLY! It is fun!
OK, I don't think she thought it was as much fun as I did, but I do like the jumping through the snow :)

Lens Baby

I got a Lens Baby to play with today. So fun! Its a Composer series and I used the f/8 aperture disc. My subject was not a cooperative as I would have liked (I had to bribe her with some pupperoni!), but I still got to see how cool the images look when I move the "sweet spot" around. Annie kept running around and rolling in the grass and this is not a lens for stopping action, number one you have to manual focus and number two I chose the f/8 aperture disc so my shutter speed was at 1/125. My puppy wiggles faster than that :)

Sweet Spot in the middle looks pretty nice.
Looks neat as a vertical too.
This is my favorite. I put the "sweet spot" off to the lower right and she finally looked at me without moving out of the frame. Finally!

Merry Christmas!

It's Christmas Eve so I thought I would finally post this year's Christmas Card. It was a challenge to get this photo of Annie. Mom was here and she helped out by holding the treats but Annie did not like sitting in front of the light on that fabric. Something about the sound it made when she walked on it totally put her off :) But I was persistent and she finally cooperated. I think I spent an hour trying to get her to sit still and look just the right way.
Cute, don't you think? I found the big bling "E" in the stocking section at Target. It's supposed to be a stocking monogram but I just used it to pin two ends of red ribbon together as a holiday collar. The background is just a photo of the fabric I used for the background of the photo and the letters and string are from my scrapbooking stash. Happy Holidays!

More Puppies!

Here are a few more puppy photos. So adorable!

Puppy Nuzzle. You know you want one!
Aren't these the cutest little outfits? My dog would not be happy...but these guys were great.
Aubrey is a great model. She totally loves the doggie sweater and scarf! And apparently going to Starbucks :)
Angel is a little shy...
I so love this one!

Pet Photos

I took some photos of my dog this weekend for our Christmas card and I just have to say...babies are so much easier! I spent a few hours just trying to get her to sit on the background. Seriously. I have a witness :)

Anyway, I had seen this cool red flocked fabric at the store on Tuesday and when I went back to buy it Thursday evening...it was gone. So I bought the same fabric in gray and made it red in Photoshop.

Here's one of the photos. It's not the one for the card, I can't share everything and ruin the surprise! :)
This is the original.
And what I did to it in Photoshop.
Anyone know where I can get a sprig on mistletoe?

Annie

My dog knows when I'm going to be gone all day shooting football so she hides. Silly puppy! When I got out of the shower this morning I found her hiding under the blanket like this...you can't see her can you? She makes me laugh.
I pulled the blanket back a little bit so I could see her eyes, and now she just looks so sad peeking out of the blanket as I am packing my cameras. I'll miss my sweet puppy today.

Annie

I was cleaning off my hard drive this morning and I came across a folder of photos of Miss Annie V. Wiggle. That's my dog in case you were wondering. I thought I would share a few photos with you.

This is one from the first day Annie came to live with us. She had been staying in the Grand Prairie Animal Shelter but we saw here there and fell in love. We had been looking for a chihuahua for our anniversary present and "Annie" fit the bill.
She's part chihuahua and part terrier and this is the look she gives me all the time. I think it the look most people give me...like, what, really, are you serious?
She has this great little underbite.
And I totally love her bat ears.
This is one of my favorite photos of Annie. She's a fun dog!

Doggie Scrapbook Page

I don't have a lot of time to scrap for myself these days but since I did not work today I decided to do a page. This is a page about my little dog Annie and her first trip to the Dog Park. She was not very social and stayed away from the other dogs there, but she loved being able to run without a leash.
I used the background paper, bulldog clip, bow, bones and hanging tag from the Best Friends Kit by Nicole although I changed the hues in the bow and clip to better match my photos. The paw prints are shapes from my photoshop library and the round journaling tag is by Shabby Miss Jenn's Remember When kit. Tails and Trails is the name of the park so when I went there I took a photo of the sign specifically for my page. Basically I extracted it from its background and made it into part of my paper. I like how that looks to give my page a little characher instead of just being a plain background. What do you think?

Puppy Scrapbook Page

I was inspired to make a new scrapbook page tonight while I was sending some of my files to Drew Hendrix of Red River Paper for him to use as examples. Have you ever used Red River paper? It is fantastic. I love their glossy surface. It has a nice weight to it that is a bit heavier than a lot of the inkjet photo papers out there so it really feels like a commercially printed photo.
So anyway, I had this photo of my puppy on my desktop and I've been waiting for a chance to make a page from it so I used this really cute black and white themed kit called Sweet Memories I found online at http://senidesigns.blogspot.com/ This designer is competing in a contest called "So You Think You Can Design" over at Digiscrap Addicts. There are a ton of talented designers competing and all the kits are free! You just have to register to download.
I don't normally just use one kit to scrap a page but I really liked how my photo fit with the colors and elements in the kit. I may go back and add some elements from another kit for a little pop of color before I print it but tonight I'm really liking the monochromatic look.

Want me to scrap your every day? I am available for S4H. Contact me if you are interested.

Can I come to the party too?

I just found this cute photo of my friend's puppy peeking through the fence at the birthday party. He wanted to come out and jump in the bounce house too, I'm sure! I jumped in the bounce house and I also went down the slide head first. Yes I did. Poor puppy he just wants to join in the fun.
