So I'm supposed to have spent my weekend pouring over my financial planning notes. In a way, I did. By I never quite got down to doing-the-'TYS' part (btw, TYS refers to the amazing creation of the Singapore education system which wins accolades for Maths and Sciences every single year, unfailingly). So I'm still trying to get down to business (now, I know its difficult to reconcile that aspiration with my curious presence in cyberspace, like right now.)
In any case, half my Good-Friday was "burnt", because I went down early in the morning (well, not really early, considering I wake up @ 5.30am to go to work everyday) to drop in at my buddy's Church to watch his short "guest appearance" in a short segment of the Church Service that day. No, I'm still atheist, I suppose. Not bad, I suppose he deserves an Oscar's for his performance.
As time and tide waits for no Man, I ended up finding myself in school, on Monday morning, with the Monday Blues, with a hell lot of stuff to settle. And of course, with my revision on the brink of vaporizing right into thin air. But i shall try not to give up. After all, I still do have a couple of days. And of course, when all else fails, I should really believe in the powers of the Gods of Moderation. but frankly, I'm not having much faith in it because: 1. I'm atheist, 2. They never seem to be working in my favour anyway.
To attempt to explain away my presence here right now, I should refer to this Korean show I watched over dinner. No, I only watched all of 15mins of this long-time Korean drama serial screened at 7pm on weekdays. It was quite interesting. As the storyline goes, there is this rich man's son who refuses to spent his folks' money for his wedding. The female lead, apparently appalled by his apparent lack of generosity and sensitivity of the oh-so-special-moment-known-as-the-dream-wedding-syndrome, is clearly upset. But the male protagonist, at the advice/instigation of his sister, takes on the clash head-on, and throws down the cards in her face:
"No fanciful wedding bands, No designer wedding gowns, and No round-trip European honeymoon. But I'll promise to give you all of this, one at a time, during our anniversaries. Of course, this is subjected to your preformance."
I thought that was real funny. It's really cool. I mean, it really cool. It appears quite clearly who I'm rooting for.
p.s. anyway, its back to the books for me :(
