July

July.
It was BUSY. Full of fun trips and firsts.
We loved every last bit of summer {even though AZ summers will be going on for months more}

July was filled with more Tball.
A trip to California.
A trip to Kentucky { and Tennessee, Indiana, & Alabama}.
Monsoons.
Hand. Foot. Mouth. for all kids :(
Dentists visits.
Temple trips.
Holidays.
back to school.

This handsome dude turned one.

as you can see, he sits well for pictures.

Mr. Rollie Pollie Nollie has reach the ripe old age of one! I can't believe how quickly this past year has flown by!  Nolan is such a sweetheart.  One of the best, calmest, happiest, easiest babies EVER!

We were in California for his birthday and got to celebrate it with some family.  We made baseball ice cream cakes and tried to recreate his newborn pictures:)

At his one year check up his stats were:
weight : 21 # 2 oz.
length: 31 inches

Dr. Kopas also found a slight heart murmur.  Better to be safe, he asked us to meet with Dr. Samson, a pediatric cardiologist.

I was a ball of nerves, worrying that Nolan may have a genetic abnormality like my Dad's, so I made Ed come to the appointment with us.

Nolan was a champ, until ultrasound time.  He. Did. Not. Like. That.
Ed and I both had to pin him down for the tech to be able to get some clear pictures of what was going on in his tiny heart!

Thankfully, all is well. And I wanted to frame the paper that said so!  Nolan has a typically childhood murmur that he will one day grow out of! Whew!

Now this mama can calm down and continue to enjoy this tiny nugget we call RPN!

Happy Birthday Nolan Alexander Marshall!

Holiday fun was had at Daniel's new home in Murrietta.
We had a blast just lounging, watching the parade, having a BBQ and playing with some fireworks and silly string all day!

Next, I had the awesome opportunity to go on a mini girls trip with Mackenzie, Grandma Marige, Ava {and Nolan} to Kentucky.
We got to attend the USA Gymnastics Nationals competition to watch our niece, Makayla compete in Tramp and Tumble.
It was awesome!
Makayla is amazing and did a fantastic job in all THREE areas she competed in!
The girls were in awe of her as well and never wanted to leave her sight!

When we weren't at the gym competitions we were busy exploring the great state of KY.
We visited the Louisville Slugger Museum { totally awesome to watch how bats are made!}
Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby.
The Lousiville Zoo.. where the carousel was the biggest hit:)
and I even {selfishly} hauled everyone to 4 states so I could get some state signs!
Thankfully no one was too mad at me.  I was able to get KY, TN, IN {blurry} and AL.
We even happened upon the Nashville, TN temple.  That was fun.

My cousin and her family live in Louisville and it has been years since I had seen her, so it was fun to stop by and visit with her and meet her cute kiddos!
THEN to top things off, my sister drove 6 hours with her girlies and we got to see them too!
Man, I love those Layton girls!

In probably the biggest news of the month, Mack started Kinder.
She LOVES it!
She even found a new best friend on day one, Miss Olivia Sawyer.
She was so excited for meet the teacher night and instantly looked grown up to me sitting in her chair.  My little girl is getting so big!

 and then there was August....
