Laval - Pastel Yellow

 

This is okay to use, not good to apply and okay drying (4-5 minutes a coat).  Though it is much slower drying on the 3rd coat. The brush is wide and good but the formula is poor and streaky. It does build but well on the 3rd coat. It is a slightly smelly polish but the smell does fade after a few hours. Got slight tipwear but lasted well otherwise.

Claire's - Magnetic Gold

 

This is easy to use, easy to apply and good drying (2 minutes a coat). The formula is good and the brush is good and medium sized. This is a magnetic polish, meaning you us a magnetic to create designs. The magnet is usually attached to the lid or you can buy different designs online. I just used the lid magnet to get this design. You paint the nail and then hold the magnet over the nail. As this is quick drying you need to do it fast! So do one nail at a time! I am right-handed and found it hard to hold the manget with my left hand without touching the polish because you need to place it really close to the nail. Fine when doing the left hand though as my right hand is steady! Hold it above the nail for about 30 seconds or so then the pattern appears. I painted the first coat without using the magnet and used it on the second coat. This is a lovely colour and love the pattern and it lasted really well. Magnetic polishes were popular about 10 years or so ago.

W7 - Blood Moon

 

This is easy to use, easy to apply and good drying (3-4 minutes). The brush is wide and good and the formula is really good and goes on nicely. It is a lovely colour and is slightly iridescent. This lasted really well.

Barry M - Catwalk Queen

So my last post was at the start of November last year! Yikes.

 

This is easy to use, easy to apply and good drying (3 minutes a coat). The brush is medium sized and good and the formula goes on nicely. It is a gorgeous sparkly green glittery polish that is slightly iridescent, as can been seen in photo 3 and 4. Stunning and lasted really well.

Essence - Anything Goes

 

This is easy to use, easy to apply and good drying (3 minutes a coat). The brush is wide and good and the formula is too. It is a nice and cute colour. This lasted really well.

Barry M - Celestial Silver

 

This is easy to use, easy to apply and good drying (3-4 minutes a coat). The brush is wide and good and the formula is amazing. It is gorgeous and very versatile. It is holographic and iridescent and shimmery! I love, love, love it. It reminds me of those fancy Dance Legend polishes that were versatile. This lasted really well.

Kiko - Wonderwall (Unexpected Paradise)

 

This is easy to use, easy to apply and quick drying (2 minutes a coat). The brush is wide and good and the formula is excellent. AND it is a one coater! It is a cute colour I think.

Avon - Metallic Mauve

 

This is easy to use, easy to apply and quick drying (1 minute a coat). The brush is medium sized and good. The formula is okay. Minimal strokes when applying or you'll get slight bald patches on the first coat. It is a lovely shiny purple. This did last well but got slight tip wear after a few days.

Primark - Ruby

 

This is easy to use, easy to apply and good drying (2 minutes a coat). The brush is medium sized and good and the formula is okay. It is a little sheer and requires 3 coats but at least is is fast drying! It has a nice shimmer and has flecks too. It is okay, but not really my colour.

Seventeen - Crushed Foils Silver

 

I bought this polish over 10 years ago, I am not quite sure if the glitter pieces have faded slightly as I had expected it to look more silver. It has a friend that I posted in 2014, if you look at it here, you'll see what I mean the glitters are golden. 

It is easy to use, easy to apply and good drying (2-3 minutes a coat). The brush and formula are both good and it goes on well. I think it would look better if the glitters were more silvery rather than greyish. This is the problem with glittery polishes, they do deteriorate over time even if well looked after. It's okay I guess.

Unknown Brand - Opal White

This is the last of these mini bottles I wanted to swatch before I binned them. I have a few more polishes to post that have dried up, so I will try to rescue them.

Unknown Brand - Shimmery Purple

I was given this polish a long time ago and I have no idea what the brand is. I have 2 more colours from the set, that I'll post soon.

This is okay to use, okay to apply and good drying (4 minutes a coat). The bottle is a mini but the brush is really good. The formula is slightly thick but think it has aged. It was okay to work with. It is a nice purple I think. I was going to bin it but decided to swatch it before binning. I don't like binning nail polishes that haven't been blogged. As these blogs are my collection and I like looking back at the photos.

Stargazer - 102 Neon Yellow

I have been seriously neglecting the 2 nail polish blogs! Sorry.

This is over 20 years old and well used! So I had to put a little nail polish thinner in it.

It is easy to use, easy to apply and good drying (2-3 minutes a coat). The brush is thin but good and the formula went on nicely after thinning. It is a nice, bright and bold yellow and it is also UV reactive! This lasted really well. Gorgeous.

Claire's - Ditsy Floral Yellow

So here is the glitter I put on top of the last post.

 

This is okay to use, okay to apply and okay drying (5-6 minutes a coat). The brush is medium sized. This does paint but you still need to dab some of the glitters on for good coverage, especially the little flowers. It looks nice on the purple I think. This lasted really well and didn't catch on anything. Some chunky glitters tend to catch on my hair or clothing!
