LITTLE BRASS MAN

I have had this kicking around for a while but hadn't seen another until one appeared on ebay last week, same as mine but without the writing. Apparently they were oil tank caps fitted to Brough Superiors, Norton Internationals and such. It was on for £150, should it stay or should it go ? you know the answer...

RAT FANS

When Ebay came along everyone became collector of useless tat. I stopped when i got Little Reggie being a bit dissapointed that he was the same size as the rest of 'em and never won a Glenis Guinea Pig, she now has £35 on her head (i just checked), way over buget.

SCHWINNING

In 2007 Schwinn made two replica bikes to commemorate the old Krate choppers of the 60s and 70s. They were supposedly a limited run so as to be future collectors items but as they were pretty expensive people didnt buy them (much like the remade Raleigh Choppers). There have been a few being sold off on UK ebay at around £300 but Kev found a wholesale bike company that had some new ones still boxed. They were listing them without the words Schwinn or Chopper in the title as an auction only, he bought the Coppertone well cheap and gave me the company's details. I rang them but they wouldnt sell me one, said it had to be bought via ebay. After bidding and missing three i finally bought was turned out to be their last one, a Grey Ghost for less than any of the others had gone for. Tidy.

RAC RALLY

Massive respect to everyone involved with making this rally run over the last 3 days and nights in pretty excepional conditions, to the 43 crews that made it to the finish (and the ones who didnt) and to the people who took these photos.

Former works Ford driver Phil Collins was 5th and first non Escort.

Bob Bean was competing on the first rally i ever went to watch as a lad is and still competitive and enthusiastic as ever.

Believe it or not this is Olivers Mount.

One of several Porsches from Belgium

Winner Stefan Stouff.

Local man Warren Philliskirk finished 15th.

Steve Perez finally finished the event in his wonderful Stratos.

FAIRINGS

Some fairings from the shed, top is off Terry Revill's Norton Comp Drag bike, second was once on a Bultaco Metralla racer and last is just an old cafe racer one i bought because of the scallops moulded into the sides. All late 60s i would guess.
All three came from various Autojumbles over the years. Just more tat ive bought but cant bring myself to sell on.
