Scavenger Hunt

 1. Monochrome

Today I am again joining Ashley Sisk's scavenger hunt and this week the prompts are: Monochrome, Complementary, Draw, Mostly White, and Treasure

I pass this barn often even though it's on a back road. I like it's stone foundation and the chicken coop out front.

 2. Complementary

Red and green are complementary colours.

3. Draw #1

Hm. I can't draw well but I do like to see what happens when PhotoShop Elements draws.

Draw #2

Draw #3

4. Mostly white

White table and chairs covered in ice a couple of years ago during a horrendous ice storm.

5. Treasure

Time is a treasure, don't you agree?

"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin."
~ Mother Teresa

Scavenger Hunt

 1. New

This week's scavenger hunt: New, Red, Breakfast, Simple, and Round.

East Gwillimbury's new fire truck lined up to be in a local parade. Shiny and red.

 2. Red

Stained glass windows in St. George's Anglican Church, Jackson's Point.

 3. Breakfast

Not my idea of a delicious breakfast, but this Herring Gull was guarding the dead fish at its feet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

 4, Simple

I don't usually splash in puddles any more (unless maybe if I'm wearing boots, lol) but I do enjoy taking photos of reflections in them.

5. Round

Scavenger Hunt

 1. Winter

This is an old photo. It has not been this cold this year...yet.

 2. Mail

A country mailbox holder - one-of-a-kind, I think

 3. Cup of Cheer

When I'm thirsty on a road trip, I consider a Tim Horton's coffee a cup of cheer.

 4. Tradition

Rudolph leading eight tiny reindeer to rooftops across North America has been a Christmas tradition since 1939, when the department store Montgomery Ward issued a booklet that made the red-nosed reindeer famous.

5. Lights

Green Thumb's Scavenger Hunt

 a. Stranger

The woman climbing the passenger car steps is a stranger. Actually, she is also a photo bomb who entered the picture when I was trying to get a candid shot of the conductor (also a stranger) about to board the Tottenham excursion train.

 b. Looking Down

I was standing on a bridge.

c. Pop Culture

Maybe not today's pop culture, true, but it certainly was five to 15 years ago!

d. Weather

It was a windy day, the reason she was holding onto her hat. (Yep, I could have used this for letter i below.)

e. Big

Left over from Halloween, I think, these giant mushrooms reached to the top of the downstairs windows of an art gallery.

f. Sign

Do you believe this sign?

g. Bottle

Three bottles beneath these partying gods. (I think they are gods, but I could be totally wrong about that.)  It's part of a store display.

h. Out and About

Two girls out for a walk in a public park.

i. Hat

Bright, fluffy hat and mitts that on a cold day would be much appreciated.

j. Hole

I don't know who made this hole - and I did NOT put my hand in to find out.

k. One

Just one fuzzy caterpillar out for a walk. It didn't stop to tell me where it was going.

l. Whatever

Is it too early to post something Christmas-y?

Scavenger Hunt

 a. When I grow up...

When I grow up I hope I have as great a sense of humour as Audrey who will be 85 in a few more days.  Here she is wearing a HUGE medallion, which honours her many years as an active member of her garden club. A few years ago she received a service pin for her 40-year-contributions to the group!

 b. Pattern

 c. Festive

 d. Triangle (four of them, actually)

This is part of the tower on the old firehouse in Orangeville.
e. Fancy

Yep, fancy but needing some repair!

Scavenger Hunt

 a. Cool

Last October this helicopter could be hired to see Muskoka's beautiful fall colours from above. (A bit pricey for my taste; besides, I was happy to see the colour from the ground level. Less camera shake too.)

 b. media

The bad news is this newspaper office closed on October 30th. The good news is the company has found a new location and will continue to serve this community.

 c. something new

A new East Gwillimbury fire station opened this year. (Remember when the old fire station burned down?!)

 d. scarf

This is a well-behaved dog wearing a festive scarf.

e. Clock

We found this clock in the town of Parry Sound.
