"favour"

This giving and returning of "favour" thing is sooo Chinese.
(If only it's like the Favour Bank in The Zahir)
I can't but help lament on this incident that occurred.

Call it a difference in opinion. I guess it got heated up, you could even call it the first big disagreement or even an argument. I am glad I got called away for another very important event, before things escalated. In the very first place, I don't want to argue, nor do I even wish to disagree. However, at that point in time, I wished my point got across.

I always knew about the "favour" thing, and I knew its utmost importance. It's something unspoken, yet it lies there dormant, especially starkling to the ones who have conscience.
But I think, there are things that could be better streamlined.
I knew I could have always used that argument "But they are doing it as well, but why aren't they penalized?", but I didn't, because it doesn't substantiate any facts or normalize any behaviour regardless the fact that the majority are doing it.
I find it utterly unfair when they load it on us, and we took it silently (not to mention, we delivered it well to our utmost ability despite feeling marginalized). Yet, in the end, those who are vocal and externalized their unhappiness are the ones penalized instead (and I've seen it).
WHAT IS THIS WORLD?



Apparently my point did get across, BUT it wasn't accepted.
(kare calmed down towards the end of day, haha)
And I accepted the final statement and reason, because we have to (literally) answer the "favour". To lessen the hassle for kare's sake, and I sincerely believed and have faith that kare has the absolute right reasons for whatever kare's doing, I accepted kare's notions/reasons/POV/insistence of not asking for "favours" wholeheartedly. 
Maybe if I were in kare's position (hypothetically), I think, as a homo sapien who still think for oneself undoubtedly, I think I would have resented any sort of "favour" and refused any suggestions of that sort.



The difference in point of view. How opinions differed. And why did the opinions differed.
It ain't easy standing in one shoes to think about it from his or her POV.
It really ain't easy to convey your thoughts and feelings to another being.
It isn't easy.
