Celebrate In Style

As I was writing the title of today's post, it reminded me that the first dance my husband-to-be and I attended in high school was titled Celebrate. But I digress...
Today's earrings are meant for celebrating! With their shoulder duster length and the glimmer of gold colored hoops, these earrings will put the wearer in a festive mood!
My friend, Sue Kennedy, of SueBeads, is a multi-talented artist. She made both the beaded beads at the top of the earrings, as well as the handmade lampwork glass beads at the bottom. I didn't purchase these two components at the same time, but they go together perfectly! Paired with the hammered gold TerraCast ovals and the gold plated wires that tapper to a rounded point at the bottom, the earrings take on an elegant look, with flowing lines.
I was thinking of holiday parties when I made these, but since there is nothing "Christmassy" about them, they will look great year 'round on any dressy occasion. The Celebration Earrings are available in my shop now. Take a look!
Since this is my last post before Thanksgiving, I want to wish our US friends of Earrings Everyday a Happy Thanksgiving, filled with laughter, love and deliciousness!

Summer Swing!

Hello!

Some very summery earrings for you today. The little polymer clay charms (so sorry to not remember the artist) started off life as part of another pair of earrings. But  I was never quite sure of them, so they sat in my box of half finished things (it's a big box). But something drew me to them again. Probably the colours. And the fact that I had some very pretty purple beaded beads by Sarah of Beadecked by Beads. They were a perfect match!

And both components have beautiful textures as well as colours.
The little beaded beads sit on some simple copper headpins and the earrings have a certain amount of swing to them.

They'll be available in my showcase over on The Earrings Show in Facebook Land on 23rd August.

See you in a couple of weeks and thanks for visiting :-)

Hello friends,

Hope you are all doing well. A short and sweet post from me today.
I made these beaded beads a while back and stacked them with pretty Czech glass beads.

Thank you so much for looking and your support for Earrings Everyday :)
And you know I love to read your comments, so don't be shy and leave some words.

See you next month.
Wishing you all a wonderful day, full of joy, laughter and butterflies.

Tutti Frutti

Hello friends, how are you doing?
Hopefully much much better than I, as I have been ill for the last few days.
So, I am going to keep this post nice and short.

Beaded and Tyvek beads by me in delicious tutti frutti colors. The colors are far more brighter than in the picture, apologies for the bad lighting. Oh yes, ear wires are by me as well :)

Thank you so much for looking and your support for Earrings Everyday :)

Twilight

These are a bit different than my usual creations. I've been trying to step out of my comfort zone a bit and try some things I wouldn't normally try.

Funny thing is I purchased this gorgeous Beaded Bead Tornados and the amazing Lampwork Headpins separately and had no thought of putting them together.
Then they arrived in the mail on the same day and I had a light bulb moment.
Could they be any more perfect for each other?!

My main problem is, my usual rustic backgrounds aren't really the right choice for these fancy earrings but that's all I have!

They are still very pretty even without the proper background!
I hope you agree!

Beaded Bead Earrings

Sue Kennedy of Sue Beads is well known for her beautiful lampwork glass beads and headpins.  But did you know that she also makes amazing beaded beads in the coolest color combos?  As of this writing, she doesn't have any of her beaded beads in her shop, but she had a nice selection of them in her booth at Bead Fest. I made sure to snag a pair and now that I am back home, I wish I had gotten several additional pairs.
Sue Kennedy and Jason Moninger, Sue's boyfriend/booth assistant, at Bead Fest.
These earrings were the very first thing that I made from my Bead Fest stash! They didn't need much additional embellishment, because the beaded beads were already so intricate. All I did was add an antiqued brass bead at the bottom and then topped them with a brass colored glass disc and an amethyst.  Squee!  I just love them!  You can find them in my Etsy shop.

Fall Flowers

I've been playing with different color combination on my Polymer Clay Hibiscus Flowers lately and this pair are a perfect match with some of the Beaded Beads I have from Kristen Stevens!!

They make a beautiful pair of Autumnal Earrings.
I know it's too soon to be thinking about Fall but it's coming up faster than I would like!

These earrings are available to purchase HERE in my shop!

Had enough of Bead Soup yet?

I was one of the lucky participants to this last Bead Soup Blog Party hosted by the amazing Lori Anderson. What fun we all had! I am still having fun, since I am still hopping! Not quite done going through all 200 blogs!
These are the three pairs of earrings that went with everything else I made for the hop. What better place to post them than on Earring Everyday! They will all be available in my ETSY Shop if you are so inclined.
Our lovely Heather is back from the bead cruise, so I imagine she will have cooked up some amazing earrings while she was away! So look for her next post soon!

Please stop by my blog for the full Bead Soup post, and for more inspiration!
