At The Feeder

After the huge wet flakes of snow yesterday I made sure to restock the feeders.  The birds didn't waste any time coming to visit.

Feathered Friends

My feathered friends are back . . . it makes me laugh how they dump most of the seed on the ground to get to the sunflower seeds.

Bird Diary

The way starlings fly and travel in such large groups fascinates me although it can be a little eerie when you see a huge cloud of them descend nearby. 

 

These guys have been hanging out on our pear tree and eating their fill.

Lotus Pond

I love exploring Lotus Pond at the Cincinnati Nature Center and seeing the wildlife there.

 

At this time of year the frogs and toads are pretty well camouflaged.  Mud baths seem to be a popular activity among the residents.

 

I fell in love with this little guy, it's just too cute how his back legs are stretched out in the air as though he's trying to fly.
