I'm still teaching the 6 year olds this year, but last week there was a huge storm and most of the people who lived out on the farm were flooded in their homes (roads were flooded and they couldnt leave), so I taught the 4 and 5 year olds, so so so cute! Except there was a big difference in what the kids can do/understand. For example, we were playing a cherades game and I told them to act out something that would make Jesus and Heavenly Father happy or bring them closer to them and I wanted them to act out things like- saying a prayer, reading their scriptures, being reverent....but they had their own ideas. The first kid was a lion. The second kid acted out floating on her back in a pool. They all did obscure things that no one could guess and that had nothing to do with the lesson. I'm pretty sure the 6 year olds would have stuck to the script, haha!

that is too cute! I like the thought that floating in a pool will bring that little girl closer to God :)
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about you and wondering if you have been affected by the storms. California is a big news story on the east coast right now.
Ahahaha that is hilarious. Kids are fun!
