Catch the Bug Challenges - May BINGO and My Time to Craft - May Sketch

Hello friends - Happy Saturday!!
What a crazy, busy week I had this time -
I guess that helps me be even more grateful that the weekend is here!
Hope you had a good week and have some good, relaxing weekend plans!

Speaking of being grateful...I have a DT card to share with you today that
I made for a wonderful lady who helped me with hemming some pants
for my daughter (because, yeah, I suck at that - can barely sew on a button)
using the terrific sketch this week at  MY TIME TO CRAFT # 292
and the Bugaboo Bingo Challenge at CATCH THE BUG CHALLENGES

Here's my card (hope you like it)

This uses the bottom row of BINGO - (Die Cut, Sentiment, Border)

I used up quite a bit of stuff from my crafty stash on this card
the papers, the button border (and bitty button die cuts), the thread
spools (had them for a long time).  Feels good to use up that much!
(Of course that means I made room for more new stuff too :o) )

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge #91- Must Say Thank You
The Crafter's Cafe Challenge #116- Feminine

What a FUN combo of a sketch and a BINGO board for a challenge!
Will you join us this week at one or both of these challenges?
I sure hope so - I'd love to see your card in the gallery.
Til next time...hugs and happy crafting! D

Addicted to Stamps and More! Bingo Challenge #6

Hello dear blog friends and followers, hope you are having a wonderful week! The challenge this week at Addicted to Stamps and More! is Bingo Challenge #6.  The sponsor for ATS&M this week is Clear Dollar Stamps  and I've used three of their digis (they all come as one set) for my cards today.  It's almost Valentine's Day so I made my cards Valentines using the DIGI, RED, HEART bingo squares.  The first is a valentine for my son (this is my favorite of the 3 I made):
  here's the inside:
I found some of this great textured paper in my stash and sanded it a bit to make it look a bit distressed.  I used the circle from the cut out portion to put inside.  The two sentiments (and hemp twine) are from Stampin' Up!

Here's the second card I made using this digi set:

and the inside:
the piggy is my daughter's favorite as she likes his sweater :o)  I used a retired Stampin Up corner punch (pinking hearts) for the edges of the image, matting and top corner of the card.  The sentiment on the front is one of the digis in the set with the animals and the sentiment on the inside is from SU.

Finally here is my last one for now :
I won't bore you with the inside of this one - but can you guess which sentiment I used? Hint: it looks much like the one I used for the other two on the inside :o).  At first I wasn't sure I liked this color combo but then decided its okay after all.  I used two of my textured embossing folders for the card base - the perfect polka dots one is my all-time favorite.  I like how the scallops on the base kind of go along with the scallops around the heart that the sweet little lamb is holding.  Then sentiment is also part of the digi set.

Well - best be going for now.  Still need to make 5 more valentines - so maybe I'll be able to share them with you before I send them.  I hope you will decide to join us this week at Addicted to Stamps and More for the Bingo #6 Challenge.  The other gals on the DT have made some fabulous cards to share with you as well - please pop in and see them.  Til next time.... hugs and happy crafting!

Addicted to Stamps and More - Bingo Challenge #5

Hello dear blog friends!  We have a fun and popular challenge for you this week at Addicted to Stamps and More! It's Bingo Challenge #5 - whoot whoo!! The fun of the bingo challenge is that you get to choose how you want to play.  You can use any row or column (vertical, horizontal or diagonal) to make your card and in the middle is the ever popular FREE Space (just try not to use your FREE the same as one of the other items already on the bingo board).  I chose the top row for my card this week and used Red, Green and die cuts (the holly leaves and berries).
Cardstock: Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple and Crumb Cake.
Sentiment: Curly Cute (in gumball green ink)
Other: Simply Scored Scoring Tool (lines at top and bottom of sentiment are, white signo gel pen. Chevron texture folder for the dry embossing.

The holly is from a retired SU sizzix die that I just loved last year (so sad they retired it).  I kept it CAS this time (well... I guess technically it's not clean since I sponged and inked up the edges a bit - but is it a simple design with very few embellishments).  This is really unusual for me if I'm not specifically creating for that reason - the other ladies on our DT are rubbing off on me.  Kylie started a sister challenge not long ago called Addicted to CAS and a couple of the ladies I'm team members with on this challenge are also designers over there.  They've had a fabulous response to their new challenge so far.  My card doesn't qualify for this challenge even though it is CAS - the theme over there right now is Bauble. So while I'm in the CAS mood maybe I'll go make something with a bauble and join in too (might even use this bingo board again as my inspiration).

This will be our last challenge for 2012 but we will be back in the new year with lots more fun ideas. I hope that you have been inspired to play along with us for our Bingo Challenge at ATS&M this week.  I can't wait to see what you create!  The other ladies have practically out-done themselves this week with their gorgeous creations - so please go check them out and leave them a little love while you are there.  Til next time... Hugs and Happy Crafting

'ABC' Challenges - 3 in a Row

Hello friends and happy fall y'all! The challenge this week at 'ABC' Challenges (this means All Beautiful Cards) is to make a card picking 3 in a Row . You get to pick any 3 squares in a row - up , down, across or diagonally.  How fun is that?!   My card today uses the middle 3 squares of Punch, Fall Theme and Dry Embossing.

I used two different types of dry embossing - on the main background and on the leaves.  I used 4 different punches on this card too - the leaves, the 1" circles, the 2 3/8" scallop circle and the 2 1/2" circle punch.  I colored the main image with my Stampin Write markers directly onto the stamp and just love how it turned out (though I will admit that I had to put my readers on to see those tiny little leaves).  I sponged a little of the Cajun Craze ink around the edges of the card too. It's a little busy of a card - but I like how it almost seems as if the leaves are flying around the main image.  Am not quite sure how it happened here in Montana but I just didn't feel like we had much of a fall this year - very short amount of time for the leaves turning the gorgeous colors and then BOOM we had snow
:o( (that's my grumpy face).  Here's the inside of my card too:
I got a little punch happy when I was making the leaves (its kind of theraputic to use punches) so I decided to put some on the inside too.  The sentiment stamp is from a Christmas set but I thought it worked well for the Fall/Thanksgiving Season too.  Please pop on over to the 'ABC' Challenges site and check out what the other ladies have made to inspire you.  We hope you will continue to play along - we've been so pleasantly pleased with the number of entries and the inspiration we are getting from you.  Leave us a comment if you like - we love to get mail.  Can't wait to see what you make! Til next time - Hugs and Happy Crafting!!

Supplies (Stampin Up! unless noted otherwise): Cardstock - Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy, Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry (ink colors are all the same too except I also used Choc Chip, Early Espresso and Soft Suede).  Dry Embossing folders - Herringbone and Perfect Polka Dots.  Stamps - Four Seasons (Hostess Only) and Greetings of the Season (sentiment).  The letters are from Close to My Heart - stamped and then punched out of the middle with a 1" circle punch.  The leaf punch is one I've had for a long time in my basket of punches.

Addicted to Stamps and More! Bingo Challenge #4

Hello friends - hope all is well in your world today (and every day for that matter :o))!  The challenge this week at Addicted to Stamps and More! is our wonderful BINGO challenge.  This means you pick 3 items from either a row, a column or diagonally (such as orange, free, whitel) and make a card using those elements.  If using the FREE space please try not to use one of the other options.  My card using the first column of ORANGE, BLACK and DIES.
I used the labels framelit die for my black background piece.  I then stamped the gorgeous medallion in Versamark and embossed in Tangerine Tango.  I then used my Festive Paper Piercing template to add some interest around the edge of the label before adhering to the card and adding my banner sentiment and button (oh and there are some little black rhinestones scattered through out the medallion too - do you see them?).  I wanted to use this column because I already had the label cut out on my desk from another idea that I didn't go with.  Wasn't sure if I would like the orange and black scheme if I wasn't doing a Halloween card - but I am rather pleased with how it turned out.  Hope you like it too and I really hope I've inspired you to pop on over the Addicted to Stamps and More! and see what the others on our design team have prepared for your inspiration as well.  We hope you will join us this week!!

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit today - hope you will come back soon! Til next time Hugs and Happy Crafting!!

Supplies (all from Stampin Up!):  Cardstock - Tangerine Tango, Basic Black.  Stamps - Day of Gratitude (medallion) and Kindness Matters (sentiment).  DSP - International Bazzar. Dies - Labels collection framelits.  Other - button from neutrals collection, bakers twine (left over from the Googly Ghouls treat bags set), Tangerine Tango embossing powder.
