Wedding Easel Card

Hello Everyone!
Was on a blogging break during the summer. Seemed like I was just busy all the time and I was working on several quilt projects too. So here I am back with cards that I have been making over the last few months. This is a wedding card I made for my bestie Sandie.

I stamped flowers and fussy cut, made lots of die cuts, used gold embossing powder, and gold papers to put together this elegant easel wedding card.
The gold sealing was piece on the envelope came from the wedding invitation.

So glad to be back and blogging. I still have lots of yard work to do for the end of the season, but I will have more time to post photos and write a few lines. Thanks for stopping by today and see you next time!!

Mason Jar Wedding Card

 Hello Everyone!

I wanted to share this wedding card I made for my BFF, Sandie. The card is for a wedding she attended. This was another card where I used elements from the shower and wedding invitations as inspiration.

The Mason Jar stamp and die cut is from the Greetery

The flowers are from a Stampin' Up set called Sending Smiles

I used watercolor paper behind the jar. I used inks and a wet paint brush to color the water-colored background.

Also added a layer of gold paper.

Love how this card turned out.  I spent quite a bit of time on this one.  So glad you stopped by today.  Next time I will post my Thanksgiving cards.  Hope you have a lovely day.

Fairytale Wedding Card

 Hello Everyone!

Today, I would like to share a wedding second card I made using elements from the invitations.  The cards were made for my bff, Sandie. And it was her idea to use the bits and pieces from the invitations.  See the first card here.

Take a look at the card.

The shower invite had a castle and a fairytale theme.  So, I did just happen to have a cute castle stamp and die from My Favorite Things Stamps.  The wedding invite had printed flowers on a woodgrain paper. The flowers were blue and white.  I reproduced the look with a Stampin' Up stamp and die. The bottom corner of the wedding invite had a printed doily.  To reproduce that look I added a paper doily accented with a beaded bridal trim.

I also added bridal tulle and some single pearls on left side of the card.

Inside of the card. Another group of flowers and a fairytale theme sentiment were added to the inside.

The wedding is in two weeks.  Hopefully the bride and groom will love the personalized wedding card.

See you again soon!!

Butterfly Wedding Card

 Hello Everyone!

I am back after a pretty long break.  I had to get a new laptop and then needed new photo editing software. Not liking the software as much as the older version. Doesn't seem to correct the color of the background as well and the light levels are harder to adjust.  Sad.

But here I am back with a butterfly wedding card. I have made a couple wedding cards this summer and my bff, Sandie, asked me to use elements from the invitations on the wedding card.  I have to say I love the idea and made a second card for a second wedding Sandie is attending this month.  I will also post the second card in the next post.

Take a look at the card and I will explain what elements from the invitations I used and how they were used.

The background of the card (the small floral print) was the paper the invitation was printed on.  The information was on the back of this paper.  The wax seal was on the original invite and I used it here as a lovely embellishment.  I incorporated the same colors into this card as were used on the invites. The butterfly theme was used in the shower invite.  The bride had included a paper butterfly studded with wildflower seeds.

I retained the arch on the top of the printed paper and extenuated it with the die cut leaf sprays.

This is what the inside looks like.  I used a small strip of the paper from the invite on the inside too.

The wedding was two weeks ago. The bride and groom loved the card and picked up on the fact that I used elements from the invites.  So, a success all around!!
Check back for the next post which will showcase the second wedding card I made using elements from the invites.
Hope you are having a great day!!  See you next time.

Wedding Shower Card and Crowns

 Hello Everyone,

My nephew and his bride had their wedding shower a couple weeks ago.  They were married on Friday the 26th.  This is the card I made for the shower.

Stamps from My Favorite Things.  Die cuts from Spellbinders.  Colored with Copics.

Inside of card:

I also made crowns for the bridal couple to wear at the shower.  I found some blank crowns at Michaels. I used ink to color the white cardboard and added lots of embellishments.

Here is the Bride's Crown.

I made a tulle flower for the front and added gathered purple tulle to cover front and sides of crown. The purple tulle is also layered with two ribbons.  Paper flowers were added too.

I used some large jewels to accent the top parts of the crown.

The Groom's Crown:

I used gold doilies to accent the groom's crown.  I added a bottle top and and a jewelry charm.  Used the purple tulle and burlap and purple ribbon.

Added the large rhinestones to the top of the groom's crown.

And here is the lovely couple wearing the crowns.  They are so sweet.

So glad you stopped by today!

Pieced Background Thinking of You

Hello,

Welcome back to one more post using this lovely pieced background design.  I did not leave any space between the cut pieces on the two cards.   I embellished the first card with sheer ribbons and silk flowers.  The sentiment was stamped with dark peach ink and fussy cut.

The second card was embellished with satin ribbon, silk flowers, and bridal type spray.
This could also could be used as a wedding card.

Hoped you enjoyed the pieced background a la quilt style cards.  Glad you stopped by today.

Golden Wedding Celebration

Hello Everyone!
Hope you are having a great weekend.  Taking a minute to share this 50th Anniversary card.  I used an older stamp from Inkadinkado.  The ink is from Stampin' Up and is called Crushed Curry.

The embellishments are a bit formal as I wanted a formal look.  I used a gold ribbon and tulle.  Gold glitter glue was added to the heart.

The die cuts were distressed with a gold pigment ink.

I made this for a friend who is celebrating her 50th anniversary.  It is already in the mail!  See you next time!!

Die cut the word Happy and added a stamped sentiment.

Hope you enjoy all the dry embossed cards!!  Next series of cards will showcase 3-D embellishments.  I know you all have a big box full of those embellishments---just like me.  LOL  See you next time.   Have a lovely day!!
