Thanksgiving Cards with Truck

 Hello Everyone,

I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

And I would also like to share the cards I made to send out to family and friends for Thanksgiving.

I used a die cut truck set from Spellbinders called "Truckin Through the Seasons". The pumpkins are also part of the die cut set.

I actually had to go to the store to get fall themed papers!  I have let my decorative paper stash dwindle down to practically nothing.  LOL. The leaf paper I found at Hobby Lobby.

The sentiments are stamps I have had for years from various companies.

I die cut the trucks and pumpkins from various colors of cardstock.  And placed them on die cut circles.

One version of the inside: Also added one pumpkin.

Changed the background paper on the following versions.

This is the second version of the inside of card.

So glad you stopped by today!  Hope your Thanksgiving is full of great things like yummy food and plenty to be thankful for!

Thanksgiving Blessings

 Hello Everyone!

Wanted to share the Thanksgiving cards I made for friends and family this year.  I used the same stamps for all the cards, but varied the layout.

Supplies:

Soft Seedlings stamp ser- Stampin' Up

Blessed Blooms stamp and die set - The Greetery

Thanksgiving sentiment on inside of cards -AMuse Stamps

Inks: Adirondack inks, Distress inks, black Archival, brown die ink

Various die cuts

Ribbon

The leaf was stamped repeatedly on a whole sheet of white cardstock using several ink colors (Adirondack inks).  Stamped sheet was cut into sizes for the card fronts. Each piece was dry embossed and distressed with distress inks.

Inside of cards:

Hope you have enjoyed checking out the cards!  Was thankful that I had time and energy to make the cards. Now, I have to get them in the mail. Haven't started Christmas cards yet. Really need to get going on those.  See you next time.  Hope you are having a lovely day.

Thanksgiving Pumpkins

 Hello Everyone,

I have one more Thanksgiving card to share.  This is a similar design to the card I posted in October here. I used torn textured paper and dry embossing for the background on this card.  The pumpkins were colored and fussy cut.

A stamped and die cut sentiment was added to the front.  Also added a  pretty bow to embellish the card.

See you again soon.  Maybe with something Christmas.  So glad you stopped by today.

PS: thankful for all the lovely trees that change into spectacular colors in the Fall.

Pumpkins and Thanksgiving

 Hello Everyone,

The leaves are falling and so are the temperatures.  I guess it is truly Fall now.  I still need to trim a bush and dig up the dahlias.  But, other then that, I am pretty much done with yard work until Spring.  And, with Fall comes Thanksgiving!  Today, I wanted to share with you more of my Thanksgiving cards.

I used the same pumpkin stamp as the last post here.  The image was colored with Copic markers.  Several layers of die cut squares were added.  And, I also added some die cut stems.

The inside of the cards:

I have been making some Christmas ornaments lately.  I really need to get started on my Christmas cards!!  But, I like to fill a basket with handmade ornaments and set them out on Thanksgiving day.  Everyone takes one home for decorating their trees.  So, I have to get my ornaments done and then I can start on the cards.  Lots to do here at the McAlpines'.   It is all fun!

Check back for more Thanksgiving cards in the next post.  I hope you are having a great day.

PS: I am thankful for all the beautiful stamps available for crafting.  Just another one of those small things that make life great

Thanksgiving Window

 Hello Everyone,

Time for Thanksgiving cards!!  I made three different designs.  I posted one earlier in October here.  And,  will be sharing the others through out the month of November.

I used some older stamps to make this design and added dry embossing to make the design seem more current.

I stamped with black dye ink and colored with Copic Markers.  The pumpkins were stamped on a separate piece of white cs, colored, and fussy cut.  They were adhered with dimensional adhesive.

The orange background was dry embossed.   I tore a piece of textured paper for another layer.

Inside looks like this:

Here are two more versions.  I added a circle sentiment on the first card and changed out the color scheme on the second.

The cards will all be sent out to family and friends for whom I am always thankful!  Hope you are having a lovely day!

See you next time with another card design!

Pumpkin Thanksgiving Card

 Hello Everyone,

Getting a start on posting my Fall cards.  Today's card is for Thanksgiving and showcases pumpkins.  The stamps are from Stampin' Up (retired) And  Mark's Finest stamp sets.

Pumpkins were stamped with black Archival ink and colored with  markers.  I fussy cut them out and die cut the fence.

Thanksgiving Rocker Card

Hello Everyone!
Having unseasonably cold and snowy weather here in Michigan, USA.  We never have snow in November.  Had 10 inches on Monday! The leaves are still on half the trees.  No one was ready for snow... even the trees  LOL     Anyway....

I made some cards to send out for Thanksgiving.  I used a rocker type card base.  This is really quite an easy base to make.  The only difficulty was not having a die to cut a large enough circle.  So, I used the old fashioned compass  and cut two by hand.  I also used some purchased die cut scallop circles I had in my stash.

I folded the circles in half and added the smaller circles and sentiment.  (The stamps are older Stampin Up stamps.)

This green and brown version are made from  purchased die cut scallop circles

The orange card is made from one of the circles I hand cut.

This is what the card looks like from the side.

So, pretty cute, I think.  I like this rocker base and will use it for other cards.  Would be really cute for birthday cards too.

Still haven't started my Christmas cards.  Have you started yours yet??  I know what stamps and dies I am going to use: The Cup of Cheer set from Stampin Up.  I die cut a few of the mugs yesterday to see what they will look like and, that was as far as I got.  LOL.   I might spend some time on it today if my ankle is not throbbing too much  (broke my ankle in July and still having lots of problems...Going to physical therapy three times a week ).

Hope you are having a great day!  See you next time!

Thanksgiving Cards

Hello Everyone,
Wanted to share the cards I made to send out to family and friends.  I used pretty papers, paper doilies, and die cuts to make the cards.

The large leaf (this die is from Stampin' Up) is cut from a very wide burlap/metallic ribbon.  It was easy to cut with the die and did not fray much at all.  It really makes the design!  So, check out your ribbon stash when looking for die cutting materials!

This card uses a different shaped leaf, but also has the die cut burlap/metallic ribbon leaf.

The cards were really fun to put together.  I just love the challenge of combining multiple elements.
I would also like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!!

See you soon,
Karen

I am keeping busy getting ready for hosting Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. Today I have to clean my house and hopefully I will have some energy left to rake up a few leaves outside.
I wanted to share another set of Thanksgiving cards that I made to send to family and friends.
The stamps are from Stampin' Up.  I used a kaleidacolor ink pad to stamp the tree.  Then strips were cut from Fall colored papers.

Entered in the:

Cards in envy: thank you
Love to Scrap: anything goes

Hope you are having a great day. Well, I better get to that cleaning.  Oh, but I must have coffee first.  See you next time with a Christmas card.

Acorns and Thanksgiving

Hello Dreamers!
I have been busy working in the yard the last three days.  I planted 400 bulbs!  Phew!  That was a job!  But, it is all done now.  I will have to wait until March or April to see the fruits of my labor.  I think it will be worth the wait.

So, today I am taking a few minutes to share a Thanksgiving card with you.  This card came together by combining die cut acorns, a paper doily, ribbon, twine and pretty papers.

The acorn stamp and die is from Stampin' Up, sentiment from Amuse Studios.

 Inside:Stamps from Stampin' Up

This is a card I made to send to a family member.   I will be sharing all the Thanksgiving cards I made over the next few weeks. I will also be posting Christmas cards.  So, lots of fun here in Dreamland!
