What I been working on...

Sorry everyone, it's not anything that I usually do and it's not any of the new ideas I have promised... but I've been ignoring blog land for too long now. I've been busy with these commissions (need to pay the bills :)) and I haven't had time for the kind of minis that I love to make. I had fun making these, but it's just not the same.

Anyway, here are some of the things I've been working on:

Some food charms for earrings. It was really fun to make food again. It is not my specialty (there are so many great mini food makers out there) but I think I did okay. These are all bigger than dollhouse scale. The lighting was kind of bad that day, these pictures do not do justice for that ham sandwich :).

------------------------------------
One of my customers is really into the book To Kill A Mocking Bird and she asked that I make charms from some of the things in the book. She wanted to make them into bracelets and necklaces. For those of you familiar with the story, I also made the Ham costume as a charm (sorry don't have a picture of that one).
------------------------------------
I've also been filling orders for items from Etsy and my Website (more of my kind of minis!). I made some great wands for Janice of On Being a Mini Mum.... but I was so anxious to get them to her that I forgot to take pictures. I'm sure you will see them on her blog when they arrive after she has time :). I also made more tombstones for an order and more skulls.

------------------------------------
But the best of all has been finally making the Severus Snape wand for Ewa - The Old Maid from The Sunny Hours 1:12 Miniatures. If you remember she won the giveaway recently. I am dying to show pictures because I am so happy about how it turned out, but I don't want to ruin the surprise for her. As soon as she receives it and lets me know, I'll post the pictures.

I still have 3 more large orders to go but I'm starting to get caught up, 1 for more charms but 2 for magical and spooky minis. I'll have some great pictures to show soon, one of the orders is from a fellow blogger with some great ideas and a great eye!

Also, welcome new followers! I will check out your blogs as soon as I can breath again XD, and hopefully I can blog more soon. My laptop called it quits 3 weeks ago and I feel partially paralyzed. It will be a month or two before I can get another, so dragging my carcass to our slow and outdated desktop computer has and will continue to slow me down for a while. I am way behind in reading everyone else's blog too, I'm missing out on so much. Hopefully I'll be back to myself soon and can resume commenting on all your lovely blogs, don't forget about me! XD

What's New?

I'm working on stuff for some wiccan altar tables, but I'm going kind of slow. I'll post some pictures tomorrow. I did however just list some food on Etsy that I had laying around for about a year. Some sandwiches and veggies mostly.

Leftover pie, YUM!

I found a few extra pies laying around when I did some spring cleaning, so I posted them on Etsy for sale. There's Pumpkin, Pecan, and 3 different Blueberry pies (I was experimenting). I'm still working on my photography skills, so you can't see the great shades to the crust or the correct blueberry color, sorry about that. As usual, the pies are made in 1 inch scale for the dollhouse miniature enthusiast.

There are more pies available on my website, I have at least 4 of each listed in stock. http://www.dflycreations.net/

Bread Assortment

My latest creation is an amazing bread assortment which includes 31 pieces of bread. They are made in one inch scale for the dollhouse miniaturist and are a perfect feature in any bakery or rustic farmhouse kitchen.

I made 5 of each kind of bread (3 times as many croissants) to sell individually and one more set to sell as the full assortment.

The assortment is listed on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/DollhouseMinisByDfly

The individual breads are on my website, and more full assortments are available on my website as well (while supplies last). ***You save money when buying the assortment vs. the individual bread, if you want that much bread :). http://www.dflycreations.net/
The bread is made from polymer clay. My favorite is sculpey III, but I used Premo on these.
