Ragin Cajun, March 2008

In an amazing move, Ragin Cajun (notice, no link) went from being a "solid internet ally" to a dick, with one post.

You may think that I have something to lose here, but I don't, as the moment he was hired on to be a "first tier blogger" he immediately forgot his third tier roots and got incredibly stingy with his blogroll. And, of course, his blog is gayer than ever.

From now on, I will be supporting Danny's blog, over at IBC.

Danny is funny, into board sports, and introduced me to the term "FUPA," which has won me many laughs at dinner parties.

Deathmatch #2

Ragin is claiming the market will close up triple digits today. I think not.

Should the market close up over 100 points, he can change my icon over at Wallstreak for one week. Should the market close up less than 100 points up, I can change his icon.

When asked why he thinks the market is going higher today he said something about "a woman's intuition."

Deathmatch on!

UPDATE: "Sloth" and Bubs from Wallstreak have also joined this bet. Bubs is on my side, Sloth is choosing to listen to the fry chef who lives in a FEMA trailerpark in New Orleans...

NOTE: We had some good back and forth over at Wallstreak on this one. Made a dull day a little brighter.

Poll Closed, Deathmatch Over

"Who will win the deathmatch?" Or, in other words, will JRJC go up or down?

For the 15, or 65% of you who knew that in the end the man known as "Dinosaur Trader" had to beat on the man known as the Ragin Cajun, you can share in my glory.

For the 8, or 34% of you who voted against me I'll assume that you were having a bad day when you voted or that you're new to the blog and didn't realize what was going on.

JRJC is gapping lower again this morning, firmly below $39 now, so my $42 short feels pretty good here. If on the other hand you had bought at $39.65 you'd be thinking about eating corndogs for a full week.

Anyway, I need to talk to "the Fly" to see if I can borrow his "internet laser beam" next time I engage in a deathmatch. It would have been much more satisfying to "melt" Ragin's blog. Instead, he's still over there, plunking away, telling unsuspecting readers that JRJC is a good buy and wooing future employers.
