This is my amazing timetable.

Baby called me to tell me about my new timetable and proceeded to tell me how screwed up it is. So far when people asked what combination I'm taking, their replies are all the same after I told them: "Your timetable is going to be horrible. There will be a lot of breaks in between." I didn't expect their prediction to be so true. D:

Thanks to the lovely people who patiently listened/will be listening to me bitch. I love you all.

I shall talk about happier things instead!

Today is a very unique day if you realised! It is February 29th, a day which comes only once in 4 years. :D Went to Kallang Leisure Park again with the girls and we watched the Leap Years. Gosh, I cried a flood and more! :( The tears just kept flowing throughout the later part of the movie. At times it was so heart-wrenching that the tears just kept falling but at the end I cried too because of the happy ending. Anyway, it is an excellent movie and I'm proud to say that it's a local production! So what if it's cliché, it's still beautiful.

I finally watched the uncensored version of Lust, Caution! The sex scenes were sort of disgusting in my opinion, because Tony Leung was all dominatrix (in a male sense, of course) in the bedroom. Needless to say I closed my eyes most of the time and squealed like a virgin (which I am, but that's beside the point) when I did open my eyes. I hence conclude that watching sex scenes isn't my thing, be it crude porn or creative art.

I also watched 2 Faces of my Girlfriend today, which is a Korean movie by the way. The main character has Multiple Personality Disorder and it's fascinating. I remember reading a book by Sidney Sheldon whereby the main character had MPD too! Yes I've forgotten the title.

Oh, and I cleaned my desk so I could actually see the surface of it. Such accomplishment!

I'm thinking of hitting the library during the weekends. Colour me nerd! :)

Today is Tie Day in TJC so everyone wore the ties, which I thought was sexy, ha ha ha! I went around asking everyone whether they thought the uniform looked better with the tie and an overwhelming majority agreed. However when I requested them to wear the tie everyday with me they proceeded to look at me like I have 3 heads and am stark raving mad. Oh well. :(

So I have a really good friend in Canada and we used to e-mail each other constantly. I was perhaps 12 or 13 at that time, and we even posted letters to each other. Handwritten letters which take 2 weeks to travel from Singapore to Calgary and vice versa. I remember how excited I was when the mail arrive! :D Anyway, time and school soon robbed us of the privilege of writing letters and soon the e-mails got sporadic too. Obviously I'm really happy because I miss her a lot and it's amazing how we managed to find each other again. :)

Yesterday I went out with Siying, Wei Shoon and Ekjun to Kallang Leisure Park! :D I was running late to meet Sy at Simei, and she's so super nice not to scold me ha ha. Met Ws at Bedok then went to Kallang where we proceeded to get lost because we have absolutely no idea how to get to the Leisure Park. Finally found out that you should take Bus 11 from a stop down and we managed to get there safely. :D

Had lunch at Pasta Mania then played at the arcade ha ha ha. I decided that I like the Bishi Bashi game a lot! After Ek arrived we went to ice-skate (it's 13 dollars for students, 3 dollars for skates and 2 dollars for a pair of damn ugly gloves) which was very fun! I haven't ice-skate for a long time so I kind of fumbled on the ice a little. Oh and Ek is like really good on ice! He can skate backwards and everything. I wished I was that good! :(

After skating I realised the skates scraped off my skin somehow. (It's bitching painful when it comes into contact with water!) Sat on these cute jigsaw puzzle couches and chatted before entering the cinema to watch L: Change The World! L is hot in his own special way and his intelligence is so attractive ha ha ha! Some parts of the movie were just plain disgusting and scary so I closed my eyes. :( I even screamed at one part because I didn't close my eyes fast enough. On the whole the movie was quite good even though it had no link with the previous Death Note movies. The cinema is also amazingly comfortable! I love their chairs. :D (It's Filmgarde at Kallang by the way)

I had to leave after the movie, which was such a bummer! :( Wanted to have dinner with them at first. Anyway, I managed to get myself lost so I called Ws and they all came out to save me, sort of. Ha ha ha. We spent a long time walking and wandering around before succumbing to just taking a taxi. Even though the walking is lousy it was sort of fun anyway ha ha! Anyway I love all of them for sacrificing their dinner to come save me. :D It was an amazing day spent with people I hardly meet up so yes, I enjoyed myself a lot! Hope we can do this again some time. :)

Okay I've applied for my subject combination already! In the end, I did choose KI. Thanks to everybody who gave me their advice. :)

On Wednesday we had to report to our new colleges for orientation. I made a deal with my father to give me a lift to Tampines Interchange every morning, then I'd take 31 to TJC. Us being second intake students had to sit through a plethora of endless briefings about everything and anything, which bored me to hell and back.

The orientation wasn't fabulous so I skipped the rest of it. It didn't feel like a real orientation though, what with the huge OGs and all. The OGs are even larger than Miranda 1! Speaking of which, I miss Miranda 1 and 08S403 already! :(

On Friday I went to watch Juno with the BFFLs and I thought the movie was awesome! Juno was quirky with her witty remarks and I actually laughed a lot. :D The soundtrack is good too. It's a decent movie and I really encourage all those who are 16 to watch it! If you aren't 16 yet, I suggest you sneak into the cinema.

I went for my last Photography outing yesterday! There was only 3 of us, plus a senior, Xiuqi. I used a Nikon because I'm more familiar with it, but when I used the Canon later on I found out that I actually prefer the Canon ha ha ha. We went to Changi with the intention of capturing the sunset, but unfortunately it was cloudy so all we got was this tiny patch of myriad of colours amongst grey.

Woke up this morning with a million texts received, with one being the most important text of all: the notification of the posting results for JAE.

"MOE: Congrats YEO JIALIN JOLENE, you are posted to TEMASEK JC, SCIENCE (32S) under 2008 JAE. Pl report to JC/MI on 20 Feb 08 at 7.30am."

I can't say I'm not disappointed that I didn't get into VJC, but their criteria for entry has gone up to a partial 4! :( So I'm just going to make the best out of the worst ha ha, and hopefully enjoy myself in TJC despite the horrible rumours that are circulating around about it. D:

Today is a free day off due to the posting results so I went out for brunch and cycling at East Coast Park! Whilst on the bus, we were gossiping loudly about TJC and Ys was regaling us with random facts about TJC like how it has only 8 toilets, et cetera et cetera. Suddenly, this boy came up to us and said, "Excuse me but I can't help but hear that you are talking about Temasek. I was from Temasek and I want to say that there's more than 8 toilets there." HA HA HA HA! I was totally laughing my head off! He talked about the canteen food and the campus too, and tried to persuade us that TJC doesn't lose to VJC, sort of. I was too busy laughing at him to listen to him. :D

We kept eating today too, and we stopped over at Geláre for ice cream because of the scorching weather! I absolutely love love love love mango sorbet. :D Seriously. Ice cream is a godsend in Singaporean weather, if I could ignore that fact that it goes to my thighs.

Whilst cycling I realised how amazing ECP really is. The trees, the sea, the sand, the tranquility there is stunning. In a way I find it a pity too because this shows how used I am to the city life, what with high rise buildings, the vehicles and a lot of unnecessary noise. I found myself staring at the planes when they fly over my head and suddenly I wished I had the Canon with me. Oh and I love how the waves lave at the sand! I was being super childish while playing with the waves but no one's there to see me but the girls ha ha. I had really great fun!

On the negative side, I gained a horrible and uneven tan, a sunburn on my nose and arms, and sore legs from cycling. My arms hurt like crazy now! :(

I can't believe that yesterday was my last day in MJC! I'm going to miss everybody so much, especially the people in 08S403! Miss Cheryl Wong is the greatest CT ever. :D

I'm using a Samsung phone now which irritates me even when I merely look at it. I hate Samsung. I cringe at the thought of using it for a month before I get a new phone. D:

Goodbye to my old Nokia 6300! Even though you lived for less than a year, you were a good phone, sort of. Au revoir, mon téléphone pauvre, tu as eu une bonne vie.

There goes all my texts in my inbox which I saved to preserve memories of everyday conversation; content that we forget so easily. Saved texts which I treasure because someone bothered to punch in a few letters and send it to me, be it a birthday message, random texts of "I love you" and other important messages (which show that at that point of time they actually cared and remembered) are all erased into oblivion.

The human memory isn't trustable and capable enough to remember all these. At least, mine isn't.

I've also lost the most recent copy of my contact list, so I have to make do with an old copy. If you changed your number recently or you've just known me lately, please give me your number again!

There were only 2 periods of lessons on Friday so I went to watch Jumper, which I really liked. I have to mention that I don't watch movies from a critical point of view, at least not during the movie. Anyway, Hayden Christensen is sizzling hot in the movie! :D I didn't know he was the male lead so that was a pleasant surprise. He's the reason why I try to watch Star Wars ha ha. Besides the eye candy, the movie actually touched on a tad bit about religion. It made me think though! I have my own views about religion but since this is a sensitive topic, I don't really fancy being shot at so I shall keep them to myself for now.

On a lighter note, after I watched the movie I kept trying to teleport ha ha!

I was swinging between the opposite ends of my emotional spectrum today. Let's talk about the happy stuff first!

Firstly it is Valentine's Day today! :D Cynics deemed it synonymous with Single Awareness Day, Hallmark and florists treat this day like how we treat Chinese New Year- an ultimate money making opportunity, and guess what? Everybody falls for it! Because it's a day when people show their loved ones that they care through chocolate, cute notes and the like. Even the iciest of hearts will melt after all this warmness is spread around! :D

The exchanging started before lessons begun and we started trading chocolates and sweets ha ha. The girls in my class are totally amazing though! :) Some of the boys too, like Chun Kiet! We will be, as what he said, "the one and only 08S403." :D

After school I went to meet Debby and Faus in Tampines for a sushi dinner! Yum I stuffed myself silly. I remember discussing sushi with some of my classmates a while ago during lunch and how much I was craving sushi, and now the craving is fulfilled. :)

Later on Debby was saying that how VJC might be a partial 6 this time round for JAE, which means I'd have a slightly better chance of getting in! Insecurity is such a bummer.

Now onto the unhappy stuff. You know how disappointing it is when something you trust and value fails you? My phone screwed up on me today, and this time I think it's permanent. Oh my lord, there's a million things in there which mean the world and more to me and now it's like all gone. Okay maybe I can still retrieve it back because I use a memory card but I have no idea how to go about doing this, and my father was screaming his head off about me going to a repair shop. D:

Anyway, I want to apologise to the people I snapped at when I was riding that emotional rollercoaster just now.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Yesterday I went to watch Ah Long Pte Ltd with Y after school! We got front row seats but that's alright. Oh my goodness the movie is simply hilarious! Mark Lee is the bomb ha ha ha I love his character. :D If you have a weakness for slapstick comedies or a sense of humour like mine you need to catch this.

On Sunday, F paid for Kung Fu Dunk ha ha ha how sweet. Jay Chou was actually cute in this movie, he had this quiet charm which was really attractive. Anyway, it seems that all my Sundays now are spent outside with the girls now! It's weird how we don't meet up everyday now unlike secondary school, and I'm quite sure along the year we'd be meeting lesser and lesser. :(

I can't believe the Chinese New Year holidays are almost over! There's school tomorrow can you believe it? :( I haven't done any homework whatsoever ha ha ha.

We reached Malaysia around lunchtime on CNY Eve and went to the Summit for sushi. After that we went to Sunway Pyramid to hang out with Kevin! Ha ha that boy pierced his ears. Talked over ice cream in this cafe until we had to go home to prepare for the reunion dinner. We had dinner at the same restaurant as last year and Kenneth wasn't there because his car broke down or something. The dinner was quite subdued compared to last year's though. :\

初一 was spent hanging out with most of the families; eating, chatting, playing mahjong and the like. The most common question posed to me this CNY is: "Do you have a boyfriend?" Seriously, do I look like I have a boyfriend or do I look totally desperate for one? :(

This year's CNY in Malaysia was obviously different from the previous ones. I'm now aware of some of the family disputes, like how one of the families is almost going to be estranged from the rest. Like how someone is being continuously critisised by everybody else, including me. Like how the atmosphere is so fake when everybody is together.

On a lighter note, the mahjong is insane this year! We were super noisy and a tad vulgar while playing and it was just plain unadulterated fun. The late night chats were also very honest and actually not very awkward, and I enjoyed them very much ha ha ha.

I also talked to Chi-mun kor over the phone because he's in Ipoh! He has an adorable son named Max whom I've yet to meet. :( Can you imagine that my nephew is over a year old and I haven't even meet him before?

Came back to Singapore on 初二 and went to visit Mum's relatives this time. 初三 was spent at a huge gathering where we mostly played cards and hear my cousins play the piano and violin because they are like music prodigies.

I got to keep some of my angpow money this year! :D

Happy Chinese New Year!

I'VE FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This post was from November 2007 and I FINALLY FOUND THE SONG IN EUGENE YEO KI WAI'S PHONE HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

I was young but I wasn't naive
I watched helpless as he turned around to leave
And still I have the pain I have to carry
A past so deep that even you could not bury if you tried

After all this time I never thought we'd be here
Never thought we'd be here
When my love for you was blind
But I couldn't make you see it
Couldn't make you see it
That I loved you more than you'll ever know
A part of me died when I let you go

I would fall asleep
Only in hopes of dreaming
That everything would be like it was before
But nights like this it seems are slowly fleeting
They disappear as reality is crashing to the floor

After all this time
I never thought we'd be here
Never thought we'd be here
When my love for you was blind
But I couldn't make you see it
Couldn't make you see it
That I loved you more than you'll ever know
A part of me died when I let you go

After all this why
Would you ever wanna leave it
Maybe you could not believe it
That my love for you was blind
But I couldn't make you see it
Couldn't make you see it
That I loved you more than you will ever know
A part of me died when I let you go
That I loved you more than you'll ever know
A part of me died when I let you go

chinese new year

I'm going to Malaysia tomorrow morning for Chinese New Year so that means no school for me ha ha!

Today we did metaphors in Literature and they discussed "Jolene is a screw-driver". Now that's one metaphor we will never ever understand.

Anyway, I'll be back before you know it. Happy Chinese New Year to everybody and hope all of you get tons of angpows alright! :D

New layout! I think this is the prettiest one I've made to date. :) Also, I've removed the tagboard because I feel that it isn't a necessity anymore. You can easily contact me through texting/Facebook/MSN because for now, I just want one voice on my blog.

On Thursday I swapped uniforms so I walked around college wearing the AHS shirt and Yanti's TKGS pinafore ha ha! People told me I looked like a nurse.

After college I hung out with some people from my OG, basically talking and all that. It's really cool how we can just sit and not do anything, just be in each other's company and chat about whatever we want. I doubt we can do this after school really starts.

Today I went shopping with my mum and it was nice. I just realised that I seldom spend time with my parents so today was great fun. We poked fun at each other's choice of clothing and at the end of the day my mum was whining about the fact that I bought more clothes than her ha ha! :)

I'm currently neglecting a huge pile of my homework, which I should be doing on Sunday. However I'm going to shop instead. :D

I've also painted my toenails a bright, blazing red in lieu of Chinese New Year. It's quite sexy actually. :D
