let's make love

Saturday was awesome. After the horrible road race in the morning where I probably lost a million pounds, I went home to bathe and met Faus on the train as we head off to Orchard! :D It was a day for us as BFFLs to celebrate her birthday with her. So first we bought tickets to 27 Dresses, then had lunch at Suki Sushi! I realised that their food is quite cheap, compared to other sushi restaurants. So anyway after that it was more shopping and we finally met Pig and Debbyling at the Heeren. Oh my there was a Manhunt competition going on there! :D :D So obviously we spent some time there looking at the hot boys doing the catwalk. (which I thought was lame and utterly coordinated- what happened to spontaneity?)

Then we went to Cineleisure to watch 27 Dresses! :) Gosh I love chick flicks, yes I do. James Marsden is hot and parts of the movie made me want to cry so horribly, but I didn't! Anyway if you love this kind of movie then you must catch this alright. :D While I was watching it I was thinking that the movie was kind of familiar in a way, then I found out that the screenwriter wrote "Devil Wears Prada" too ha ha. I loved that movie too.
After that it was dinner at Suntec City! Faus opened the present we got for her and we then gorged ourselves with food before preparing our surprise for her, which involved the laser lights at the Fountain of Wealth (what a terrible name) and a cake with candlelight! We hung out till night before catching the train again. Anyway darling I hope that Saturday was brilliant for you okay. :D
Today I went for high tea with a bunch of girls whom I had not hung out with for a long time and it was much fun! :)

ultimatum
So after the utter emotional turmoil, the batch of us received our O' Level results. What a rollercoaster ride it was.
Everyone was waiting at 2PM in the hall before the top students were announced. It's super hard to spot a Singaporean amongst all those Chinese scholars. :\ When that was over, we had to go out to collect our results from our respective form teachers. Seriously, I was in a state of shock when I saw my result slip. Called the parents, Y, S, W and C before my phone ran out of battery.
My L1R5 is for the people who didn't believe in me and thought I was only capable of getting a double-digit. To those who believed in me, I'm sorry I didn't get better. I know I could have.

miranda 1
The O' Level results would be released in a matter of hours and I managed to sleep fitfully and dreamt about being watergunned at. D:
On Saturday I went to watch National Treasure with Pig, Yl and Debby at Vivocity in the morning, and the tickets are courtesy of Pig and Yl's cousin. Thank you! :D The movie was good but a tad short in my opinion, and I think the actor who played Riley is cute! I like his Ferrari.
After the movie I had to rush over to Pasir Ris from HarbourFront for Miranda 1 BBQ! Whoooo I think our OG is quite amazing actually, to have almost full attendance out of like 41 people. All the OGLs came too! The wind in the park is excellent but while starting the fire we had to use styrofoam boards and umbrellas to cover the fire ha ha ha.
So besides BBQ-ing the boys played football, some of us girls played with the frisbee and everybody played card games. There's this insane card game called the "Fruit Game" and we screamed our asses off while playing it ha ha ha! Chatted, gossiped and took pictures too. It was a really good day. :)

Miranda 1 took pictures yesterday too! Hopefully it won't be the last day we're taking pictures together or that'd be super sad. :(

nearing the end of the tunnel
Pig, Winky and Tchaikovsky came to hang out at my house on Friday. I've laughed so much within those hours that my stomach ached and my eyes teared. :D
I've gained a blister on the sole of my right foot from running today. :\
I would post pictures but there aren't any with me now so I'm afraid it's words for now. That isn't a problem though right, because listening to me talk/reading the words I type must be totally enticing for you.
THURSDAY IS GOING TO BE HELL. D:

lucky 400
Happy 400th post to my blog! Ha ha ha. :D
A lot has been happening these days and college is really tiring me out. It's a tad strange how I can be really silent and spacey during school but once it's dismissal I start making tons of noise, or when lessons are over for example.
I hate monotony.
Oh, I managed to go out for lunch with Faus and Debby on Sunday ha ha ha. Because I made them wait for me I treated them to gelato, I know I'm lovely! I met someone new too.
I'm talking to Wei Kit now and he agrees with me that college is tiring! It must be an international thing.
Stephie made me realise how much I miss UK! :( UK UK UK! I miss England, I miss Scotland, I miss everything about UK! The mood in UK was so excellent. From the company to the weather to the locals there to the shopping and so on. It's a bitch how happy times last so short and the unsatisfactory ones seem to last forever. In a way this makes the memories of happy times so much more precious though. :D
This is such a disjointed entry.
I need some spiceeeeeee! Some excitement! Some... some... something better than now. Please? :( My life now is so monotonous (at least, in the mornings ha ha ha) and I wish school would get more interesting. I miss gossiping with the girls back in AHS so much! :(

tutorials > lectures
The permanent timetable kicked in today which meant that there were tutorials too now, in addition to lectures. Gosh, MJC must have one of the longest school hours ever. It's disgustingly alike to AHS. I can't believe that college totally feels like secondary school too.
There was bloody PE today and it was hell and I feel sick and I hate running and I need to exercise and I need to stop being unfit. :( Whatever. I hate running, I'd rather cycle or play a game. I hate running. Oh my gosh I hate running. D:
I am also currently reaping the fruits for enduring 4 years of Higher Chinese, because it's so worth it now. Ha ha ha.

look where we are
For the past 2 days I've been hanging out with some of my class girls, which is actually quite okay albeit a tad awkward at times. Sometimes I feel like rambling nonsensically just to stop the silence. That's the problem with the big OG, somehow I feel that we're shortchanged because of our large number.
The lectures are tolerable now, and the only lecturers I don't like are the Math ones. I sincerely hope that I can qualify for 4 H2s in JAE because I realise I really want H2 English Literature! If not I'd have to forsake Economics. :\
Tutorials start next week and so does PE! I totally dread PE already, especially if they are going to make us run, which is highly probable. D:
Oh and about the CCA thing, I didn't manage to go for the choir auditions because the queue was like super long! I didn't fancy waiting so long so I went off to view other booths and before I knew it the auditions were over. So sad to say, MJ Choir is going to miss a superb member! :( (Which is me, if you didn't realise) I ended up joining *********** instead hee hee hee. I'd really consider a sport in JAE though.
On a side note I didn't exactly rule out Polytechnics either! We went to Temasek Poly today for the open house and it was a total carnival. I met a senior there who shared my dislike and disdain for a certain Chemistry teacher ha ha ha! :D Poly is so much more interesting and eclectic than JC though, but it's harder to enter a Uni! :( I hate making choices like this.
I seriously need to go Chinese New Year shopping soon! :D

bloxx!
Today's lectures were much more interesting than yesterday's, even though I have no idea why I have the tendency to nod off during lectures. It's not like they are that boring, per se, rather I think it's my own body's fault ha ha ha.
I already foresee myself having problems with Math after having 2 lectures so far. I can't believe I'm saying this but I miss CHM! :\
During free periods I hung out in the canteen with a bunch of people and we played City/Tower Bloxx while other people mugged their whatsoever! My current hi-score is 82 bloxx and I'm sure by tomorrow I can make it to over a hundred lol.
There's CCA recruitment tomorrow! I actually wanted to join tennis but I can't play tennis and there are trials so that's out. Maybe squash? Ha ha ha! Oh and MJ's Photography is like so much better than AHS's. I want to join Choir too but no one wants to join with me. :(
I'm in a bad mood suddenly. D: It must be the reading I have to do. Or maybe not.

Today's events shall be listed in point form, with the most interesting one first.
Saw a real bloody cobra! D:
Woke up
Attended lectures
Attended talks
Oh my gosh what a thrilling day. Honestly, English Literature is so far the best class (I haven't taken Economics yet) and now I wish I'd taken H2 instead.

azimuth
For the past 3 days (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) I've been attending school- not having lessons but having orientation instead! The orientation programme in MJC is called Azimuth; to reach a new pinnacle. It actually has a lot of meaning if you think about it. Azimuth is something used in Math, something about angles. It means something about finding direction too. So in a way during orientation I guess we have a chance to find out which direction we're supposed to take in terms of our education. :O
Anyway, my house is MIRANDA (MI-MI-MIRANDA!) and I'm in MIRANDA 1! :) I didn't know anyone in my OG at all because all my friends in MJC were either in other groups of Miranda or were in other houses, so I was a stranger amidst 30+ strangers. :\ Heck, I was the only person from AHS in my OG! How awkward. Oh, and the number swelled to 41 on the second day. Honestly they can't expect us to bond among 41 people, it's a ridiculously large number but I guess I got to meet a lot of new people and all.
Like every other orientation we started off with the usual icebreakers, learning of mass dance and whatnot. It was actually quite monotonous and boring but somehow necessary. The second day was the MMM (I can't remember what it stands for already) but it was like the Amazing Race. I got a million blisters (okay, 4) and my legs were super sore from the day before so it sucked, I was in a haze of immense pain which thankfully became easier to numb as the seconds passed by. Oh and I want to thank all my lovely OGLs for offering to carry my bag, carrying my bag, giving me plasters, and for their concern and all. :D I know they aren't seeing this actually but yep, my OGLs are a-w-e-s-o-m-e people.
The third day consisted of the wet games and "campfire", which were actually very very very fun! Even though I got dirty and wet it was still fun. I didn't bring a change of clothes so I cabbed home and back later on and we then did props for the "campfire" later on. I must say the knights of M1 looked really fantastic, especially with their helmets! :D
Even though Miranda didn't win the most points, I think we'd all won so much more! Thank you Miranda 1. :)

*hugs Y2008*
HELLO Y2008! :D
Because of the calendar we make such a huge fuss out of a day which is actually like every other day of your life! (except the parties, the fireworks and the huge amounts of texts)
Because of the calendar this day symbolises a new start, a new beginning, the chance to start anew.
But isn't every day the same? Ha ha ha.
So as I kiss 2007 tata and beckon 2008 for a hug, I hope it'll be a better year for everyone- may it be full of ups and downs so we know how to appreciate what we have.
ANOTHER IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE! I'm going back to school tomorrow! Let me list out the good things and bad things now.
+ Allowance $$$$$$$$$$
+ Out of the house!
+ Learn new things?
- Adjusting my horribly tweaked body clock to the constraints of school hours
So it looks like school isn't that bad after all!
