Today is the day where i step into the society feeling that i've done my part for the nation... erm.......(pukE!)

Will be collecting my pInK IC (how chic! it's pink!) later. Come to think of it, i do miss my 11B... oh heck ... good things never last.

Had a most satisfying chat early this wee morning. Caught up with an old friend of mine, and no, Carmen is not old, just that we've known each other for 8 years! Since those good old Secondary School days.. Ahh.... such innocence... yeah we've aged Carmen ...

gReAt. My CD-ROM drive just went haywire. I think it's about time i get a CD-RW or DVD drive.

Anyway, was cleaning my room, found a CD which contained all the photos and videos we took when we were on overseas exercise in Thailand. It was a living bombing exercise. Although my CD-ROM drive is down, but i still have my trusty thumbdrive to count on. Borrowed my younger bro's laptop and transferred the files.

can't show the sensitive stuff here, so i thought i'd just show you guys the "FUN" stuff ! haha... enjoy..

Oh yah, one more thing. When in Thailand, make sure you guys try the prata there. No, not the one with curry, but the one with condensed milk!!! ITZ HEAVENLY!! but try not to eat too much ya ? bad for the health... you get what i mean...

Btw, we did went into the mall in the picture above... did quite alot of shopping there. I guess the "pleasure" it meant was the pleasure of shopping.. haha... not ... *ahem*.

i sometimes do envy the kids i teach at sunday school. For the rest of their lives, they will never know those feelings. They will never, for a single bit, feel that they are alone. Just downloaded a cheena software out of boredom. let me check it out... 我不会讲华语 .. COOL!!!~~~ haha ... looks like now i can write alot of chinese words that i would usually require a dict... which brings me to another point.

I wonder what is the REAL reason our government had decided to come up with a Chinese "B" syllabus. for the past decades, our society had been accustomed to only two chinese syllabus, which is higher chinese (同志！) and the normal chinese (同乡！). Students had been seen struggling to mug for the chinese paper all the time!

Q1) Why is there only chinese "B", but no malay "B" or tamil "B" ?
A1) Because majority of the ministers in the cabinet are Chinese. (not being racist here)

Q2) Why is the "B" syllabus only introduced now? and not earlier?
A2) Because it is about now, that the min*ste*'s children are grown up, prob in secondary school, where a "D" or "E" would make a big difference.

Q3) How does it concern us then?
A3) It doesn't a single bit concern us, but it affects us. Because of this "D" or "E" situation, our youths are given a choice of giving in to difficulty, and opt for the easier way out.

Q4) Ok, times are changing, so what?
A4) Yeah. times are changing. Because our sons now think chinese is difficult, our government comes up with a "B" syllabus. Now who is being soft? our youths or government?

woah alot of issues coming up. "ARE SINGAPORE'S YOUTHS BECOMING SOFT?"

I would love to talk about that but I need to go mug for my "'O' levels" if not wednesday I will have a tough time.

Today is a boring day. Yet it is a friday :(

Had a call from one of my ex-teachers from Barker. DR NO. I guess he wants to ask why i did not register for the mega reunion Barker having on 3rd July 04. Guess what? I DIDN'T PICK UP HIS CALL !!! muAhaHAHAHAHaaa..... Well, the truth is, i can't afford it! I'd just got retrenched by the Government, along with a few hundreds of thousands of youths *choke* *choke* like myself. I still got a dog to support, along with numerous dinner dates with babes *ahem!*

Alright the real reason is ... 4B4 unanimously agreed not to attend (read: boycott) the reunion because we are having our class chalet on 3rd july 04, which was agreed upon on 3rd july 03. Because of the reunion, our form teachers Mr Ding and Ms Pillay have decided not to attend the class chalet. SO MUCH ANGER!!! As such, we had decided that the annual class chalet shall not be superseded. (english correct? i hope so)

Ah... i'm such a great liar... anyway, i really don't know.. somehow our class just didn't want to attend .. or perhaps on 2nd july 04, our class will rise to the occasion and attend in full force. Let's wait for our class monitor to give us the cue..

"okie, but if the mother asks how old are you, you have to say you are 29, grad, full time tutor, 5-6 yrs experience and now teaching 4-5 students"

"don't worry she won't check your i/c or certs. she is an old customer. btw, we told her you are Mr Tan."

I think tuition services in Singapore is an underground flourishing profession (profession?)

why underground?

Non Tutors: They do not contribute to the GDP of our nation. They do not need to declare how much they earn as tutors. No income tax, No CPF, and government can't do much about them either. They are legally undergrounded!

Tutors: We still buy goods like everyone else, so saying that we don't contribute to the nation's GDP is false. We have no CPF, we're worse off! When we are old, our children might send us to old folks home! Who knows right? We don't have any benefits (eg.medical, dental), and have no safety net for old age! Not to mention, We are the backstage operators of the Singapore Education.. without us, where will de Ace students get their A's?? Infact, the government should support us all the more. If not, the next generation of [insert party name] leaders will not be scholarly enough!

the kiasu Singaporean in me prompted me to search the web for those online tuition agency (prob not registered). Off hand, i could recall registering myself with over 5 agencies ... cool! now i'm bound to get a tuition assignment... Not gonna be beaten by other tutors ... hehe ... i even scoured the newspaper ads looking for tutors ... i registered with another 4 ... now i'm an employee of..... technically speaking ... 9 companies! hahaha..

Woke up at 0830hrs ... by my colleagues asking me if i'm going to office today.... I'M ON LEAVE FOR GOODNESS SAKE !!!! READ THE MOVEMENT BOARD PPLE!!! went back to slumberland only to wake up at around 1015hrs ... again from office ... GrEat .. i might as well NOT take de leave ... managed to sleep for another two hrs or so before i finally couldn't sleep anymore...

went out with bel today ... din go anywhere interesting .. mostly West area .. was playing arcade before our show .. found out that she is quite an active shooter .. haha... very "gan chiong" hehe.... Cronicles of Riddick .. kinnda cool .. but too fantasy like .. still i like his goggles -o~o-

Mum called during de show ... called her back .. only to find out that my aunt's mother-in-law passed away ... mum asked if i wanna go to the funeral ... conversation:

"...we are going to the funeral .. you want to come?"

"er wat for?"

"show face lah ..."

"i dun even know her mother-in-law"

"but you knoe your aunt"
