BLESSINGS | CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS

Hello my dear lovely crafters! How are you doing? :) Today's card is a bit 'one layer card'. The reason behind this card was - we often neglect small stamps from the set and we don't often use them on our cards. So I decided to give them some love by seasoning them on this 'Fall Themed Card' ;)

Products from Catherine Pooler Designs

CARD DETAILS

I started by stamping all the tiny images from Autumn Blessings Stamp Set on a white card stock with Memento Black Ink and colored them with Sizzix Permanent Pens. I used two shades of color for each image and I feel it's more comfortable to use two shades rather than using many shades of markers at a time!

Then I stamped the Pumpkin in Tiki Torch followed by Rockin Red. The technique I used was Rock n  Roll or Tone on Tone or Ombre Stamping Technique. I didn't get the result properly but I liked it! These pumpkins are looking very artsy and they added more interest to the over all card design. :)

I also stamped the bold sentiment from the same set with Versafine Sepia Ink. I fussy cut all the images with scissors and adhered over the card panel as shown above. I wanted the sentiment in the center and the tiny images surrounding it.

Lastly I finished the card by stamping tiny images with Grass Skirt and Versafine Sepia. This card is screaming 'fall', right!

Like it? Grab it before it sells out!

CARD PROJECT DETAILS

I started by inking up and stamping the solid feather stamp from Birds of a Feather Stamp Set  with Tiki Torch, All That Jazz and Tutti Frutti inks by Catherine Pooler Designs.

These are such gorgeous colors and I think these would be great for both boys and girls.

Then I inked up the bold BEST sentiment from Simply the Best stamp set in Midnignt ink and stamped over the previously stamped image followed by the Friend stamp. I love that crisp, clear and clean impression which always comes with Catherine Pooler inks when stamped!

I also added splashes of black paint to enhance the beauty of the design. I hope you like it and I also made a video for you, enjoy! :D

Be the Best version of you | Catherine Pooler Designs

Hello everyone! Today I have two cards to share with you all. Here is the first one! I used Bloomin' Boutique Stamp Set from latest SOA Counting Blessings Collection and Midnight Ink on my card. These Stamp of Approval/ SOA boxes sell out quickly but do not worry these items will be for sale in the Catherine Pooler shop on an individual basis in a few months The shop turned one so today is the last day to earn double points on your order! Click here to check out the shop.

I started by stamping and masking the flowers in Antique Linen Distress Ink and pencil colored the images with Faber-Castell color pencils. It took me four hours to complete the whole coloring process, if possible I will make a video and share it with you :)

While coloring the images, I slightly changed the shape of the flower and I think it still looks pretty cool! I also added shading to the solid images i.e., leaves! :)

Once the coloring process was done, I added tiny droplets of black and white paint to enhance the beauty of the design.

I forgot to mention, before stamping the flowers, I die-cut a water colored panel (canson montval 300gsm) with scalloped edged die from Tags, etc.dies by Catherine Pooler Designs.

Finally I adhered the die-cut panel over the brown card stock and adhered the brown card stock over the white card base. And finished the card by stamping the beautiful sentiment from Bloomin' Boutique.

Here comes the second one! For this I used - Everyday Mod Stamp Set, It's a Boy Ink, Midnight Ink, Fiesta Blue Ink, CP's Card Stock and Leaf Motifs stamp set (counting blessings) collection.

I started by stamping the diamond background stamp in It's a boy ink and filled the few other diamond areas with CP's midnight ink. Then I took another small panel and ink blended the portion with Fiesta Blue Ink and added tiny droplets of water for some water color look.

I stamped the leaf from Leaf Motifs in Midnight Ink, fussy cut it and adhered over the small panel. Then stamped the sentiment from Everyday Mod Stamp Set. Finally adhered the smaller panel over the main card base and finished it with a few clear sequins :)

I hope you like these cards, thanks for visiting! :)

What do you do when you are bored?

What do you do when you are bored? Well.. I love making pretty simple things when I am bored like be it a simple stamped pattern, be it a simple doodle or just anything simple! I really enjoy myself being simple.

Last few days was really gloomy and I really don't have any energy or mojo to do anything creative. We were in grief and was very sad because of the demise of my dad. It's been a year already and I still feel that the incident happened yesterday. I badly badly miss him. Things were alright when he was here :(

Going to cemetery, visiting my dad's grave and his first memorial service all pushed me into great grief and that grief lead me to a kind of depression and that depression lead me to boredom and lack of energy. I do not know how to explain but those who faced and went through all this will definitely understand my situation.

To kill that boredom and get back to my daily routine, I started making cards with simple designs! And also I doodled a little, I will show you the full project in the next post.

I started by stamping the pattern on white card stocks in Sweet Sixteen and Pixie Dust Inks and Tiara and Tiki Torch Inks. For creating the pattern I used Circle and Floral stamps from The Perfect Reason Stamp Set and sentiment is from You Did It stamp set.

I stapled the sentiment strips for some interest and embellished the cards with sequins. I hope you like the cards, please do not hesitate to do simple things once in a while or when you are bored like me. Making simple things is the best medicine for depression. Keep doing! Good Luck <3

Overlap Stamping Technique | Catherine Pooler Designs

Hello everyone! Today I have a very simple, fun and easy stamping technique called Overlap Stamping. Overlap Stamping Technique is nothing but layering of images. This is such a fun and easy technique, you don't need to mask your images at all. You can simply go with the flow! The good thing about this technique is when the colors overlap each other they automatically create another beautiful color. Such a wonderful and stress free technique :)

For my today's project, I used Yay Stripes and Butterfly Notes stamp sets from Catherine Pooler Designs. This Butterfly Notes is a part of Stamp Of Approval Lovely Notes Collection. If you know me, I like using bright and happy colors on my projects but this time I went with pastel shades.

The inks I used - It's a Girl, Sweet Sixteen, Bellini, Melon Ice, Mint To Be and Midnight Inks. All these gorgeous and lovely inks are from Catherine Pooler Designs.

I started by stamping the butterfly on a smaller panel with the inks mentioned above in a random and overlapped manner. I cleaned my stamp with a cloth in each intervals.

I love how the images overlap and creates another beautiful color. Once the stamping part was done I went ahead and added splatters of black paint with a thin paint brush. I love doing this and I strongly believe that these splatters add so much interest to the card!

Onto the main card panel I stamped the striped line from Yay Stripes stamp set in Midnight Ink. Finally I added the smaller panel over the main card base with foam tape. :)

I've also filmed a video for you where I've shared everything in detail. I hope you like it! Thank you so much for visiting. See you soon :)

I stamped the flowers with Party Dress and Flirty Fuchsia and the leaves with Grass Skirt and Lime Rickey inks. I adhered the flowers and leaves with foam tape and stamped the sentiment with Midnight Ink.

This card features Paisley Peacock and You Did it stamp sets

On standard white card stock I stamped all the images with Flirty Fuchsia, Rockin' Red, Something Borrowed, Party Dress, Orange Twist, Fiesta Blue and Tikki Torch. Finally stamped the sentiment in Midnight Ink.

This card features The Perfect Reason and Everyday Mod stamp sets

I stamped the flowers with Something Borrowed, Rockin' Red, Party Dress, Grass Skirt and Lime Rickey inks. On a piece of white card stock I ink blended the background with Lime Rickey Ink and adhered all the flowers over it and stamped the sentiment with Midnight Ink.
