ALMOST ONE LAYER BEST WISHES CARD | LAWN FAWN

Hello there everybody! Welcome back..

Today's post is another version of my previous card design. Previous one was multilayered but today's one is almost single layered. Let's begin.

CARD DETAILS

Nothing fancy or complicated!! I ink smooshed the background with Vintage Photo Distress Ink with the help of an acrylic block. Once it's dry I added splatters of the same ink and gold paint. And I let panel dry completely.

I stamped the feather from Lawn Fawn Dream stamp set and colored with gold paint, stamped the sentiment from Stuck on You stamp set by Lawn Fawn, cut it into a strip.

I adhered a piece of burlap, adhered the stamped image over it and foam mounted the sentiment strip. Finally embellished the card with a few steel sequins.

I hope you like it. I'm entering this card for AAA CAS Game #150 - One Layer + Optional Twist Autumn and CASology Week 353: FEATHER

Thanks for stopping by today and I will see you soon :)

SET OF CARDS | LAWN FAWN

Hello everybody! Look at this set of cards! This set shows the continuous tree line and slanty road and the movement of the car. This card features and highlights Home for the Holidays and Dream stamp sets from Lawn Fawn. I did lot of masking in the background, did copic coloring and also did some water coloring. And the sentiment is from Technique Tuesday. :)

HOW I MADE THESE CARDS

  • I took three card panels of same size and drew a slanting line with a ruler and pencil on three of them
  • I made two masks for trees (I used feather as trees and this is from Dream stamp set) and stamped it along the line
  • I also stamped the cute car from Home for Holidays set thrice on a piece of card stock
  • I colored all the images with Copic Markers
  • To add some definition, I water colored the background with green and blue for sky and brown for the road
  • Next I fussy cut all the car images with a pair of scissors and adhered as shown above
  • Finally stamped the sentiment and adhered the card panel over the main card base
  • By the way, I used heavy weight card stock and school water colors to color the background
A FEW MORE SHOTS FOR YOU

This is such a fun card and I'm so happy how the card shows motion!

FOR CHALLENGES

I hope you like this set of cards. Thank you so much for stopping by. See you on Monday :)

To a cool friend | Lawn Fawn

This cute little birdie really can't stand the summer heat so she is sitting on the top of the car enjoying the breeze, holding balloons in her hand and going to visit her cool friend for an Outstanding Occasion :)

I started by stamping all the images from Dream (yep! I turned the feathers into trees), Home for Holidays (Car) and Year Four (birdie and balloons) in Catherine Pooler's Midnight Ink. I water colored all the images with Koi Water Colors. I fussy cut the images and kept aside.

I took a white card stock, ink blended the background with Vintage Photo (ground) and Broken China (sky) distress inks and also added splatters of water for some texture. Next stamped the sentiment from Toboggan Together on a strip of white card stock with Midnight Ink and adhered all the images on my card with Tombow Glue and Foam Tape.

Entering this card for Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #3 - Outstanding Occasions. Thank you :)

You Octopi My Heart

I like to make interactive cards but due to time constraint I seldom make them. But if I decided to create one, I choose the simplest design! I am choosy that way! :P So for my today's card the interactive element is going to be Action Mini Wobbles. I told you I choose simple designs but this card literally took me two days to complete. Fussy cutting and No Line Distress Water coloring are another highlights on this card! :)

CARD DETAILS

I started by ink blending the background with Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks and I blended the inks over and over again until I am happy with the results. Then I added splatters of water and picked up the excess with a tissue paper for some beautiful texture. This already looks like deep down in the ocean ( never been there but have an idea from the pictures). To add more depth and interest I added splatters of white paint - Picket Fence and Stardust Stickles.

To resemble the plants in the ocean (seaweed) - I stamped the Octopus from You Octopi My Heart | Lawn Fawn in Peeled Paint Distress Ink and colored only his tentacles. To add more depth, I mixed Peeled paint + Black Soot and colored over again.

Fussy cutting the tentacles is really a tedious part as it is very intricate. I adhered the tentacles (ocean plants) in two groups. To add more interest I adhered glass beads from Prima at the bottom of the ocean plants (tentacles). I really like how they turned out! :D

Next I stamped the Octopus in Festive Berries Distress Ink on a piece of white card stock and distress water colored him as well. Fussy cut him, placed the Mini Wobble behind him and adhered him onto the card base.

Lastly stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with Zing White Embossing Powder and finished the card off by adding a few sparkling clear sequins. And I didn't miss the heart this time also! ;) added next to the sentiment.

This is how Mr.Octopus Wobbles.. Wobble, Wobble, Wobble... Haha! :) I hope you liked the card. I am entering this card for Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #2 - Interactive Cards. Thanks for stopping by! :)

Birthday Smash | Video

Hello everyone! I am super excited to be taking part in Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #1 where the theme is Birthday. Lawn Fawn is celebrating their 7th birthday, so I am here today with a birthday card wishing them a very Happy Birthday! :)

I enjoyed playing along with Lawnscaping Challenges but I was very much disappointed when the challenge blog was closed officially! Later when I came to know on Instagram that Lawn Fawn itself is starting a challenge blog, I jumped up in joy! :)

Here are the few cards that stood out in Lawnscaping Challenges and I just wanna share them with you!

Okay! Let's move onto my card now!

CARD DETAILS

I started by stamping and water-coloring the image from Year Seven with Koi Water Colors. Then I took the card panel and water colored a little portion with the same water colors.

I stamped along the edges of the main card base with a tiny image in Memento London Fog ink. I stamped the sentiment with Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink and adhered the image with foam tape also adhered the smaller panel on top of the card base. Finally finished the card off with a few sequins

VIDEO DETAILS

I have filmed a video for you showing you on how I put this card together. I hope you'll enjoy watching it. Thanks for visiting! :)

Cactus Wreath!

Hello everyone! How are you? :)

I made this card for Lawnscaping Challenge Color Scheme where we are allowed to use Black, Purple and a color of our choice. I chose the shades of purple, black and I thought the 'red' would pop against these colors! I'm so happy with this color combination. :)

I took a white card stock and drew a circle. Next I stamped all the images on a white card stock from Stuck on you stamp set in Electric Neon Purple ink from Tsukineko, Seedless Preserves, Archival Jet Black ink and Carnation Red inks.

Next I fussy cut all the images and adhered them on the circle forming a Sting 'Wreath' with white glue. Stamped the sentiment with Archival Jet Black Ink and finally added tiny splatters of black ink and stickles to the images. :)

And that's it and I hope you like! Thanks for visiting! :)

Best Wishes.

Hello everyone! I'm quickly popping in to share a card with you all. I made this card a few days back but I didn't get proper time to blog as I was busy filming and editing the videos for my upcoming projects. By the way I love that shimmer on my project <3

I started off by ink blending the background with Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed Distress Inks. I kept my focal point not in the center but at the edge of the card by rubbing my ink blending tool in circular motion with Festive Berries followed by Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed. Next I added splatters of water and picked up the ink with a paper towel. I love how the background turned out!

Next I stamped the feathers from Dream set from Lawn Fawn with Archival Jet Black Ink and water colored it with Orange water based markers. Then fussy cut it leaving a white border around the images. Adhered the feathers on to the ink blended panel with glue and foam tape and finally stamped the sentiment from Stuck on You set at the top. To add a little interest, I added a gold washi tape at the bottom of the card base and adhered the ink blended panel on top of it and finished my card off with some sequins and Wink of Stella Clear Glitter on top of the feathers. :)

Thank you so much for stopping by. Take care and I will see you again :)

Stamping with Distress Inks

Hello everyone! Good morning to you all. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, just to kick off the Monday blues I'm here sharing a very quick card made for Lawnscaping Challenge: Distress Maniacs. I literally used what I had on my desk, no plan, no designing and no sketching, I just went with the flow! And I had to admit that I had so much fun while making this card :)

I LOVE masking technique! It's really a stress buster and it sharpens your mind also, so when you are bored or when you feel like your mojo is gone, try this technique and I promise you'll be back to your normal may be sometimes a little more creative than expected! :p

CARD DETAILS

I stamped and masked all the images from Stuck on you and Toboggan Together with Distress Inks - Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint, Peacock Feathers, Vintage Photo, Picked Raspberry and Festive Berries. I masked all the images and rubbed Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink on to the background. This created so much texture and interest to the card. I, then flicked some splatters of distress inks, I love adding tiny droplets of ink on my cards! And finally stamped the sentiment with Black Soot Distress Ink. And for the finishing touch I drew along the stamped images with a black permanent marker and stamped a few hearts and distressed the panel with a pair of scissors and dabbed the Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.

And that finishes the card for today. I hope you like it. Thank you so much for stopping by, take care and I will see you soon :)
