May's Challenge Starts at Dragons Lair Designs!

Hi Dragonettes!  Just a short post to get us all ready for the May challenge at Dragons Lair Designs where the theme is Anything Goes with an optional twist of fashion!  Fun one this month!  I am doing a digital page as I am having back issues plus love playing with the kits digitally sooo much!  Here is my summer is already here in south Mississippi layout with a couple who have clothes on (fashion) but they are in silhouette so I will let our Challenge Leader, Susan, determine what category mine falls into! :)



Do come join the challenge!  A prize and lots of inspiration and nothing easier than Anything Goes, right?  Oh, my lady has a hat on!  Definitely fashion LOL

A Little Bit Late Like a Night Owl?

At the Dragons Lair Designs Facebook Fan Page we have a coloring contest where you can request a free digital image and if you color it and put it in the album you can get the image for the next month free again!  And for our loyalty points, if you color and blog your project you get two points!

Yoo Hoo the Owl  the mixed matched eyed little guy says "Don't Worry, Be Happy!" so I agree with him!  Why not?

 It is time for our April challenge at Dragons Lair Designs Challenge Blog and the theme is
Anything Goes" with a twist of "Wedding".  I went a little rouge on this one using Sir Hiss and his wedding cake for my twist!  Sir Hiss was our coloring challenge for March and we have another one started for April!  You ask for the image, get the image, and make a project and upload to the album on the Fan page!  So double for the information on this blog post!


I colored him up with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut him and the cake out.  I then used a die to cut the word "lifetime" to express his everlasting love for his Mrs. Hiss!

Hearts a Flutter at Dragons Lair Designs February Challenge

I still just love the Summer Sunset Collection even in winter!  But the couple walking on the beach just embodies the figures of love or hearts a flutter as our theme is this month at Dragons Lair Designs Challenge!  

Hope your Valentine's Day is a happy one and spent with someone you love.  Yoshi and the rest of my grandpups want to have a picnic but that will depend on the weather :)

It's a Zoo Out There!

Our July challenge starts today at Dragons Lair Designs Challenge Blog and the theme is "It's a Zoo Out There".  This little Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier digital image from Dragons Lair Designs Store, won't even go out without her shades..she can't believe what a zoo it is!  But she did stumble into the butterfly habitat by mistake looking for her pal (to see her pal, check out Susan's make) and all those wings and crawling caterpillars are freaking her out just a bit.  She does know how much like a movie star the sunglasses make her look, too!  

I colored her up with Spectrum Noir markers and then had her magically or digitally jump onto a sheet of paper from the Butterfly Collection.  I made the sentiment in Photoshop and ditto for making it jump on the paper, too.


Come out and play with us again this month, please?  We have enjoyed seeing your fabulous creations and want you to keep them coming!

Seaside Retreat Collection at Dragons Lair Designs

I am so thrilled with this collection of course because it is beach related!  I miss my beach this very hot summer but this kit makes me feel the breeze and smell the salt air.  I printed the elements out and made a canvas with  them on a piece of cardboard.  See if you can feel that seaside feeling :)


This collection is available at Dragons Lair Designs Store this month; please check out the store and see it up close!  I love this little seahorse...he is adorable!  The mixed media element in this kit works fabulous on a canvas and saved me so much time and work.

Buy, download, then either work with the items digitally, start digitally then print out and complete your crafting as a hybrid project, or print straight out and do your usual papercrafting.

Showcase Sunday at Dragons Lair Designs!

Another Showcase Sunday at Dragons Lair Designs including a fabulous freebie!  I am using "Blue Rhapsody" scrapbook layout so quick to pop two photos on and journal your info and memories saved so beautifully!  I used some "new old" relatives from the releases from the British Museum that are copyright free.  I really like showing how easy it is for busy Mom's or anyone to still be able to scrapbook and keep all those details in writing because at my age LOL I have forgotten some details (just a few!).

May Challenge is Here at Dragons Lair Designs

Time to come play again with us at our challenge at Dragon's Lair Designs and our theme is "Working Women".  This is as we women know means ALL women!  So we want to see your interpretation of this theme be as creative as you want that is what it is all about!  

I used the Florence Kit and it is soooo pretty and vintage and elegant looking. So many fun ways to use it but I  am in the hospital with my Mom with limited resources so a digital make in her honor is what I  have today.
