Here are the pallets we started out with, none of the pallets are the same. We used 4 pallets.
Cut two of the pallets in half and berried one end the ground, removed the sod. Our planting area is 4x8ft.
Angle cut two more pallets and screwed them into the front and back.
We purchased three 2x4's to support the top of the ends and one across the top.
Four bags of organic topsoil was added. We used boards from another pallet to fill in the gaps, so the soil would not go through and to keep rabbits and others out.
And the fall/winter garden bed is planted. There is still more work to be done before it's frost/snow season.

Sweet November
Wonderful fall weather in northern Indiana.
I was able to keep up on the yard work so in the spring, I shouldn't have the mess we had last year when we moved in.
No update on the homestead, be working on Christmas gifts, etc.
I did manage to complete two cross stitch pices...

And Autumn Aprons by The Cricket Collection.
And I really didn't take any pictures during the month of November. So this is going to be a quick post.
Hope you had a good one.

October, you kept me busy!
I love this group! Hoosier Stitchers Fall Retreat...More pictures at the end.
The start of Oct...
The start of Oct...
Had the tree stump removed.
Flowers were looking good mid October, then the leaves started falling.
Painted the hallway and kitchen.
Less then 24 hours, painted the hallway the same color as the kitchen.
The first color was too pink.
This is where the kitchen will be. On to the dinning room-ceiling removed.
New Patterns
This is my new favorite, I've worn it a couple of times, with great reviews.
Hot Air Balloon #9, the last in this year's ornament series. I also had to remake Hot Air Balloon #5, because it broke, when I was taking it out to the pine tree to take pictures. The second one is made in a deep blue.
Getting close to the end of October, I received this wonderful, beautiful quilt in the mail!!!
I had no idea this was going on. The quilt is from a yahoo group called ILCS (I Love Cross Stitching). Debra H stitched one of the blocks and made the quilt. Below are pictures of all the stitched blocks in the quilt. BIG, BIG, BIG thank you for the quilt.
These four pieces are in the corners of the quilt, it had to see in the quilt pictured above.
When the quilt came I was packing to go to the Hoosier Stitchers Fall Retreat, so I took the quilt with me to show off. :)
Of course we stitched.
Cindy and Annette
Shirley and Liz
Liz finished the piece you see in front of her into an ornament.
Wish, I would have taken a picture of it when it was finished.
Ate and group therapy.
Shirley and Coleen
Shirley giving her speech to the press. LOL!
Group Picture Time
Silly Group Picture
Dyed material, Coleen and Cindy.
And LAUGHED,
LAUGHED!
Goodies I found on the free table.
Progress pictures of my cross stitching.
Left side is what it looked like arriving the retreat and the right side is what it looked like leaving the retreat.
Autumn Aprons by The Cricket Collection.
Crocheted two vine scarves at the retreat.
Some of us went to House Of Stitches.
I bought frames for these pieces, I had finished for a while. Frames are just setting on the material, I still need to do the actual framing. I also picked up Fish City, only because they had a finished piece, framed for one of their customers. And of course the Halloween magazine.
Retreat, sure are a lot of fun and giggles, but they sure do wear a girl out.
Cindy
That's my October, hope yours was a good one.
