Flower Pot Card

We made these at my children's cardmaking class at school last Monday. I figured that their Mother's would feel really special receiving one of these cards on Mother's Day.
This card was inspired by Dee found HERE.
The flowers are really cool and easy to make, here is a tutorial:
1. Punch out 5 Scallop Circles from Whisper White card
2. Spray them with water
3. Screw them up
4. Unfold them
5. Leave them out to dry or put in the hot water cupboard
6. Sponge around the edges with ink
7. Stack on top of eachother and put a brad or rinestone through the centre
8. Optional: Cover brad with 1/2" circle

These flowers are so cute, and are a really nice embellishment for your projects.
Enjoy!

Flying Away Soon

Sarah made these adorable little 4x4" cards. I love black and pink together, and those polka dots look so funky! These little cards are made with the "Flight of the Butterfly" stamp set. I love the colours: Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink teamed with Basic Black and Whisper White. The pink polka dot paper is out of the Tea Party designer papers.
This is just a reminder that the butterfly punch retires on the 31st of March, along with everything else in the Summer mini catalogue. I have used the butterfly punch sooo much and it is definitely worth getting. Email me at debairey@xtra.co.nz to order yours before it flies away!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Flight of the Butterfly
Card/Paper: Regal Rose, Basic Black, Whisper White, Tea Party DSP
Ink: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Basic Black
Accessories: 1 1/4" Circle punch, 1 3/8" Circle punch, Scallop Circle punch, Butterfly punch, Mat Pack

Bella Rose

I held a workshop yesterday, we made this mini side step card using the Good Egg stamp set found HERE.
I demonstrated the Sweet Treat cups on this card. This card was strongly inspired by the talented Paula Dobson. Her project is found HERE.
I put red and green jelly beans in my Sweet Treat cup to match the gorgeous Bella Rose designer papers.
The ribbon at the top, is to pull the trap door up so that you don't have to rip the card open to get the jelly beans.
I made this mini treat box to match the card. The instructions on how to make this cute box is by Dawn Griffith, found HERE. This box is so quick and easy. Again, I added jelly beans to match the papers.
Supplies used for side step card:
Stamp Sets: Flight of the Butterfly
Card/Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Bella Rose DSP
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Butterfly punch, Riding Hood Red 5/8" striped grosgrain ribbon, Sweet Treat cup, 1 3/4" Circle punch

Supplies Used for mini treat box:
Card/Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Bella Rose DSP

The Sweet Treat cups are only available until the end of March. They are so cute and it would be awful to miss out on them. Email me to order yours today,

A Great Day

On Saturday I had a lovely day with a group of ladies. Here are some of the things I demonstrated and we all made the mini step card. The treat bag and step card are from Jenny Moors blog. The instructions are there too. Isn't the Good Egg stamp set just so cute? :)
The wee pocket with a mini card is made using the circle scissors. I cut a six inch circle and scored 1 3/4" across the bottom of the circle and 1 1/4" each side. The Tea Party DSP and the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set compliment each other so well. This week I will be travelling to Christchurch to look after my mum who had a fall about a month ago. I have been travelling to Christchurch every weekend and after this week my mum will be coming to visit me at Easter. I am really looking forward to this. Have a great week.
