The Blog Time-ish thingy is under Add a Gadget in your layout page. It's the Blog List and you can copy and paste everyone's blog URLs there. I also have Google Reader, so It will transfer those automatically. Let me know if you have any questions.
I love his famiy drawing. I like it better that you took a pic, so that you don't have to feel like saving it for forever!
