AC in da hhhhoooooouuuuuuusssssseeeeee!!!

And no I don't mean AC, as in "air-conditioning." I'm talking about none other than AMERICAN CRAFTS baby!!!

I was reading about a kit club that has some of the new American Crafts in their March kit & how these items were "not even on store shelves yet!!!" Then I started reading on some message boards & people were wanting to know who made some of their new products.........well because they didn't realize it was American Crafts.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo, how lucky do you think I felt when I checked my mail & low & behold, I have a Priority Box jammed pack with TONS of their new product!!!!

I have tons of their new papers, thickers, chipboard shapes, felt shapes, & rub-ons and I absolutely cannot wait until 9:00 tonight when I will dive-in head first. Don't send anyone in to save me.....I don't want saving!!

And where was I able to purchase my yummy stash of AC already? Why here of course!!

Now, go shop & anxiously stalk your mailman!!

T-minus 34 days & counting.......................

Where you ask?
Why......................Disney World, of course:)

Yep, our good friends tell us they're taking their kids, which just happen to be Ashlyn & Camryn's best friends (how convenient) to Disney for Spring Break & by chance, "do we wanna go?"

No, as a matter of fact we don't.
We have so many other things we need to spend money on right now & Disney just isn't one of those.

Okay, so where did you make our reservations?

We're such pushovers...........really we are & we're excited to be going with this couple. Same couple we took the Stone Mt. trip with & now Disney World. How friggin' exciting is that?

So, we have reservations at Ohana's & Chef Mickey.......couldn't get any for Cinderella's Tea Party thingy, but that's okay, we'll make that another trip. I think the parents are more excited then the kids right now, but it'll sink in soon enough.

I'm also excited about these wonderful little treats. I'm sure this is something you've all known about for years, but it's new to me & I LOVE them. I was told to just let them thaw out & season, but I decided to follow the directions on the package. YUMMY stuff folks!!

Now, if I just would have seen these first.

Already cooked & seasoned!! Now THAT would have been even better!! I'm getting hungry just thinking about them.

I have been pretty creative lately. I've done 3 layouts in the past 2 days, all of which I'll save for a later day, all of Camryn. She's such a dang cutie when the camera is around & even when she doesn't know I have it. I love those types of pictures.

I hope you're all having a wonderful week. Like the new pink?

CPS #52

Why is it when you have time to yourself....................you're tired? I'm so pooped. I would normally stay up 'til 1:00 AM working on scrappy related stuff. This is my time to be creative & have the stillness of the night surround me....................I often lose track of time & often pay the next day:) But tonight I'm the "cool" mom. Tomorrow is a 1/2 day at school, so we let Ashlyn stay the night w/her best friend. YES, they are going to school, but for 2nd graders, it's not like they'll be doing much work. After school they'll be getting pedicures...............hard life for these 2 I tell ya.

So, here is my chance to stay up late, widdle the night away with mindless scrapping & I can't even keep my eyes open. I'm posting my latest card creations & calling it quits. I love the simplicity of CPS's sketch 52. I'll end up using it again.....very diverse. So, I made another useless baby card, as I really have no one to give these to, but I keep making them anyway. If you know of someone that needs one, LMK:) Cross My Heart papers with WeRMemory Keepers letters.

Using some October Afternoon & Fiskar stamps

Inique Boutique stamps covered with Carolee's "Sparkle" This is much prettier IRL

Birthday card for my nephew. Some Hang Ten papers I've obviously been hoarding.

And that's about it. I would like to say I'm going to get more done tonight, but I hear my bed calling & maybe, just maybe the latest issue of CK?

Pencil Lines #72

How was your weekend? Good I hope........ours was. We spent all-day Saturday at the Mobile Civic Center for Ashlyn's dance competition. The entire team did very well with the Mascots getting Golds for both of their dances & taking the "Best Overall" in the Recreational division!! They were pretty excited about this, as they didn't quite grasp the "competition" aspect of the weekend. To them, they were just performing their dances on-stage, like they would for the end-of-year recital. I think they're already looking forward to next month's competition.

Sunday was a dreary day in our neck of the woods. We had severe thunderstorms with tornadoes all-day, so we stayed in-doors. I really wanted to go back to Mobile & watch the girls, but didn't want to drive over the bridge in the nasty weather. So.................................I scrapped instead. The first layout is from Pencil Lines, sketch 72. For some reason, I had a hard time with this sketch, but it's done using some new Pink Paislee, Jenni Bowlin & older My Minds Eye.

So what's in store for your Monday? I need to get some laundry done, grocery shop, make 3 birthday cards before tomorrow & possibly take Ashlyn to the studio this afternoon. Whatever you're doing, I hope it's a good day for you!!

TGIF!!

How was everyone's Valentine's Day? Good I hope. I was up at the studio, which I knew I would be, so I planned a great steak dinner Wednesday night. My parents wanted to come see the girls, so that gave William & I time to sit down together, enjoy our meal & have an adult conversation. He also ordered flowers for me & the girls, but I'll be danged if they didn't get delivered. Ironically, this is the 2nd time this has happened in 3-years, by the same company. I told him that though the gesture was very sweet, get his money back & we'd do dinner or something. I think he liked that idea a lot!!

In other news, have you checked Just Let Me Scrapbook out lately? If not, go on over there......new home page, new blog, new products, new design team projects & and you can sign-up for their newsletter. All of this will keep you "in the know" & we all want to be "in the know" don't we!!!"

Ashlyn's dance team will be attending another competition this weekend in Mobile, AL. This will be the first time the mascots will be competing, so I'm pretty excited. They will be doing a tap piece titled "Cruella De Ville" and a Jazz piece titled "Chantilly Lace." They are going to look so dang cute & I'm hoping they win an award:)

And after 2-years of talking about & trying out new make-ups, I finally took the plunge & signed up for Mary Kay. NO, I will not start stalking your blogs & email & hound you to buy from me. In fact, I signed up just so I could get the product at a reduced rate & happen to have some family that already uses it, so they'll get their products from me now. I love the make-up I have been using for over 10+ years, but with both of my girls dancing, I needed to find somewhere to cut back my money spending & the make-up was my first idea. I'm only paying 1/3 of the price now & I'm happy about that. So, if you are so inclined to take a peek, click the link on the right & visit my website. Otherwise, no stalking from me:) I promise!!!

Welp, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Aside from the competition, I know we'll be moving some furniture.................fun stuff indeed!!

I did manage CPS sketch #51, but that's about all. I'm also posting another card I made last week. I did a baby card too, but haven't photographed it yet, so I'll save that for another day.

Sketch This #43

Thursdays are like Fridays to me. I spend most of Tuesday - Thursday away from home & definitely not in my scraproom. So, I sometimes stay up late on Thursdays because I know Friday is an "off-day" for me.

Did ya notice my new music thingy I added? I didn't add to many songs...........it's not like someone is going to come to my blog just to listen to music, but it's there for the listening:)

I did do the current sketch over at Sketch This and it's a really fun one. Though my layout looks simple enough, I had the darndest time coming up with a good color. I surprised myself by using mostly cardstock, something I haven't done in a while. I remember a time when I ALWAYS used a cardstock base. Now my cardstock is all alone with noone to play with. The papers are all Collage Press. I don't think I threw away any of my teeny tiny scraps......totally love these papers.

This second layout is nothing great by any ole' means. In fact, I used some very, very old American Crafts paper. But that's just the point.............I used it (so I have to show it)!!! In fact, I managed to use quite a bit of American Crafts products on this layout. Most of the embellies are AC, except the sheer journaling circle (Maya Road), paper frills (Doodlebug), large brad (Paper Studio) & the cardstock stickers (7Gypsies).

So what's in store for your weekend? Going to CHA? Scrapping? Not sure here, but hoping to get some scrapping done.

Pencil Lines 70 & CPS #50

I'm always amazed when I get several things accomplished in one day. Not sure what to attribute this to, so I won't even try.

I did manage Pencil Lines sketch #70 and CPS Sketch #50, and here they are. These pictures are from a 2005 trip to Kentucky to visit with my brother, wife & neice. We go up, at least, once a year & LOVE it up there.

This is CPS Sketch #50. The idea for this card came while I was making dinner. Hmmmmm....I guess that's what roast beef does to the mind:)

This one came last night, after I went to bed. I just used the scraps from my Pencil Lines layout.

So, I'm off to see if I can get anything else done tonight!! TFL!

Gooooooooooooooooooooo GIANTS!!!!

Woohoo.............what a game!! Loved every minute of it. I love games like this....ones that are not strong-handed by one team, but a game where both teams play equally well, with equal mistakes & sadly one team goes home without the tropy. I really did hate it for the Pats............they went all season without a lose until now. That does truly have to suck and I'm sincere when I say that.

In the meantime, I was tagged by my good friend Amanda. She's such a sweetie & oh so talented lady. Check her out if you get the chance.

Rules:

1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers.
2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. (If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name).
3. After you are tagged, you need to update your blog with your middle name and your answers.
4. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and that they need to read your blog for details).

Middle name is Barbee. It's actually my maiden name that I moved to my middle name because I love it so much. Besides, my middle name is way too long:)

B - brunette..........yep, it's the truth
A - Anal
R - Retentive (ha.......killed 2 at one time:)
B - bossy....or so I've been told
E - Empathetic
E - easy-going I am NOT:) I tend to be more uptight, but I'm workin' on it

So, with that I would tag someone else, BUT, most of the friend blogs I read have already played this little game, so the buck stops here.

I hope you all have a wonderfully blessed Monday & I'm hoping to have more stuff to show later this week.

Who's Super Bowling it?

Me me me me!!!!! Having family over for a get-together, complete with fatty foods & fun. Doesn't get much better then that.

Soooooooooooooooooo, to get ready, I planned wisely:) Did a little house-cleaning last night & then my mother-in-law came & got the girls today. She took them to see the new "Hanna Tanna" movie, as Camryn calls her. I quickly finished my house-cleaning & then spent most of the afternoon scrapping, in between loads of laundry. I got some new Making Memories & Collage Press papers, not to mention all the yummy Deja Views embellies.

Still experimenting with my new camera lense. Went outside to take pics of my layouts today & some of them looked washed out, so it must have been too much direct sunlight. So, some of these pics aren't the best.

This first one is the left 1/2 of the latest Pencil Lines Sketch #69. I scanned this layout & took pictures outside & both look equally horrible. Due to the lumpiness of the embellies, this was the best I could get for now. The pink scalloped journaling paper on the right is for jouraling. Want to get my in-laws own words. It looks crooked, but it's not. I purposely stitched crooked....don't know why?

This layout used Sketch This #41. Once again the colors look horrible.

I did not use any sketches on this last one. I can sometimes manage a good one on my own:) I used Making Memories new Chelsea's Place papers. The red is hand-cut it's velvet & very very pretty stuff.

TFL & I hope you have a great Sunday.............GO GIANTS!!!

Thanks for visiting!!
