The keyboard! One of the Greatest Inventions. =D

The one modern invention that has the greatest impact on young people is the keyboard, don't you agree? It has changed the way we study and socialize, basically our lifestyle, making it very different from the young people of the past. These days, I think the majority of us just can't live without the keyboard, without it, I think our fingers will itch in need to touch the keyboard! =D If you do a survey in school, I believe that more than 90% of the students touch the keyboard everyday... true?

The keyboard has changed the way us, students study. Before this, learning took place when you read of listen to your teacher teach. And when a teacher teaches, students would have to copy the notes and exercises the teacher dictates or written on the blackboard (or whiteboard). Assignments had to be presented by using drawings and writtings on cardboards and self-made books. But, after the invention of the keyboard, evreything changed! With the keyboard, a student can type away... digitally. This allows them to print their work, and usually, typed and printed work are usually much MUCH neater compared to handwritten ones. Teachers nowadays have also switched from the traditional way of teaching, to typing their lessons on the computer with the help of softwares like Microsoft Powerpoint, etc. This has made teaching and learning a much faster process.

Another area the keyboard has changed our lives is in the area of socializing! With the presence of social networking sites and the internet, young people can word their thoughts online, and this has enabled socializing at a greater level. And if you compare it to the past, where keyboards were absent, the way the people socialized was much MUCH different. In the past, socializing was just done in schools and get-togethers. It was rather limited. Once one is home, socializing stops! But, the keyboard, has changed everything.

I was trying to be witty when I wrote this. But, somehow, I think I'm talking more about the computer than the keyboard. What do you think?

My latest gadget! Seagate 500GB!

My old 80GB external hard disk was running out of space due to the SUSOM pics & videos. =D We took more than 20GB worth of it! Deleting Files... Permanently!

In the past last year, there are so many news on politicians or movie stars semi-nude or nude pictures being circulated on the net. Why did they even take this pictures in the first place? For memories? *Weird* I can understand if they are taking for their boyfriend or girlfriend, because sometimes, love makes us oblivious to what's right and wrong. But on the hind side, try not to take pictures of yourself nude or semi-nude for them. You'd never know whether they'll betray you one day or not.

Just recently, there were two cases of politicians nude and semi-nude pictures of them circulating around in the internet. One, is Elizabeth Wong, MP for Bukit Gantang, and the other Dr. Chua.

Any photo or file you have deleted from your memory card, hard disk, can be recovered by a person who has the know how. Even the files have been emptied at the recycle bin can be recovered. Many people are not aware of this, but it's possible.

There are many file recovery programs out there readily available. And most of them actually works. You might not recover the full file, but a portion of it. But even a portion of it can sometimes be dangerous.

Why can recover programs recover the deleted files? Because if no other file is written on the same spot the file was written, the file still stays in disk sector. To best way to remove that file, is by installing a third party program in your system. This program is programmed to re-write junk data on the spot where the file you want it be deleted. And another way, is physically damaging the computer storage chip, so that it'll be unreadable.

Better be safe than sorry.

Hey! Look at this cool gadget!

Want to keep your drink chilled for a longer time while you work at the computer? I have found a gadget by DreamCheeky, a portable fridge, powered by USB!
It can hold only one can and once you hook it up to a USB port, the device will take about 5 minutes to cool to 8 degrees celcius.
Plus, this fridge is not like any other fridge, this fridge can not only cool your drink, but it can also heat up your coffee with a flick of a switch.
Inside, the USB fridge has a single blue LED to light up the interior. The retro fridge is available in red and black.

Gloves usually can be used once, but this glove can be used SEVEN times!!!

There is a new glove in town, called EcoGlove. This glove is not like any glove. Normal glove can be used only once or twice, but this glove can be used SEVEN times!

The EcoGlove would be cheaper for end users, reduce rick of latex and chemical allergies, and friendlier to Mother Nature.

After use, the new gloves would be reprocessed by its manufactures, sanitized and checked for defects before being repackaged and sent back to the users.

EcoGloves are made by using a machine that uses cold plasma technology sterilizes the gloves, and as a quality control measure. An estimate of 140 billion gloves are produced globally a year, with Malaysia accounting for half the sum. Most disposable gloves are made from latex or petroleum-based nitrile.

With EcoGlove, the carbon footprint would be reduced by 60%, as there would be almost zero wastage. At the moment, there are 1.4 million tonnes of waste from gloves produced yearly.

To ensure every glove is traceable and not used for more than 7 times and weed out clond gloves, EcoGlove has a unique matrix or 2D bar code on the gloves.

How cool is that?
