31 Day Challenge 2014: Day 21 - Inspired By A Colour (Pink)

So as you can see, for this day of the challenge I have chosen pink for my colour inspiration. I chose pink because I don't do many pink manis, and also because the early days of this challenge didn't have a pink challenge day.

Firsly I painted my base coat. Then on my thumb and ring fingers I painted 2 coats of W7's White (in this picture I only did one coat, but after I painted another). On my index and little finger I painted 3 coats of Barry M's Princess, with the other Barry M texture polishes I usually only need 1 or 2 coats. And on my middle finger I painted 3 coats of Avon's Cotton Candy.

To create the chevrons I made my own stickers. To make them I have some PVC insulation tape and I used some pinking pattern scissors and cut some chevron strips. I then placed them on my nail in rows and sponged a gradient over the top. For the gradient I used Avon's Cotton Candy, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's Presto Pink and China Glaze's Heli-Yum. I then carefully peeled away the stickers using some tweezers.

And that is the finished mani :) very simple, love it! Definitely need to do more pink manis!

31 Day Challenge 2014: Day 20 - Water Marble

So I am officially giving up on water marble! Yesterday I tried to do it and it was a complete fail! I have told my mom and boyfriend that if I ever say I'm going to try it again then they need to slap me!
Lol rant over...

After applying my base coat I painted 2 coats of W7's White on my thumb, middle and ring finger. On my index and little finger I painted 2 coats of Barry M's Guava. Then on top of the white nails I painted a coat of Sally Hansen's Hidden Treasure (new version).

On my thumb and ring finger I stamped this water marble stamp from Bundle Monster plate BM-320 using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's Teal-y Fast. Then I used a dotting tool and Barry M's Silver Foil to place some dots around the water marble pattern.
A complete cop out for water marble I know!!

Then on my middle finger I placed small clear diamantes on my nail to cover all of it. And on my index and little finger I painted a coat of Sally Hansen's Hidden Treasure (old version).

A coat of Seche Vite to finish and that is the mani done :)

31 Day Challenge 2014: Day 19 - Galaxy

Actually did these on Friday, but had a busy weekend so only just managing to upload them today!

Firstly I painted 2 coats of W7's Black over a base coat.

I then used a small make-up sponge and sponged three different colours on my nail. First China Glaze Electric Beat, second Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's Teal-y Fast, then Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's Speedy Sunburst. Each time I placed a colour I overlapped some of the previous colours and I placed the colours in different places on each nail.

I then used a nail art brush and a dotting tool to add stars with W7's White. I dotted the small stars with the dotting tool. Then the diamond shape stars I painted using the brush. I first painted a cross then filled in a little. This was my first time painting these, I wish instead I had placed a dot of polish then dragged it out to create the star, but I will try that next time.

I applied a top coat of Seche Vite and that is the mani complete. For my first galaxy mani I think it's not too bad :)

31 Day Challenge 2014: Day 15 - Delicate Print

Love this stamp and hadn't used it yet, I think it's quite delicate :)

First I applied my base coat then I painted 1 coat of W7's white. I do this whenever I do a gradient as it makes the colours look a lot better.

I used 3 colours for this gradient, from left to right they are Sally Hansen's Casting Call, China Glaze's For Audrey and Electric Beat. I did the gradient one way on my thumb, index and little finger and the opposite way on my middle and ring finger.

Over the gradient I applied one coat of Sally Hansen's Hidden Treasure (the newer version).

I then used Konad's white special polish and I stamped this roses pattern from MoYou's Princess collection plate 09 on every nail.

I appled a coat of Seche Vite to finish and that is the mani done. Love the pastel look of this mani, very summery for the nice weather over the past week.

31 Day Challenge 2014: Day 13 - Animal Print

Have done lots of different types of animal print nails before, so I thought for the challenge I would do a different print on each nail :)

To start I painted a base coat onto my nails. On my thumb and ring finger I then painted 2 coats of W7's White. On my index and little finger I painted 2 coats of China Glaze's Kalahari Kiss. And on my middle finger I painted 2 coats of China Glaze's Westside Warrior.

On my thumb nail I have done cow print. For this I used Konad's black special polish and stamped the cow print from Cheeky plate CH1.

On my index finger I have done tiger print. Firstly I used a small makeup sponge and China Glaze's Life Preserver and sponged this over a couple parts of the nail. I then used Konad's black special polish and stamped the pattern from Cheeky plate CH2.

On my middle finger I have done a scales crocodile print. I stamped the pattern from Pueen plate Pueen10 using 3 different colours, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's Coco a-go-go, KIKO's Lime Green and Barry M's Gold Foil. I dotted these colours in a few different places on the pattern, then scraped and stamped as usual.

On my ring finger I have done zebra print. I used Konad's black special polish and the zebra pattern from Konad plate m57.

On my little finger I have done leopard print. I used Konad's black special polish and the leopard pattern from Konad plate m57. I then used a dotting tool to fill in some parts of the pattern with Avon's Vintage Boutique.

Once all my nails were dry I carefully applied a top coat of Seche Vite and that is the mani finished!

Love this mani! All the different patterns look great together and so colourful :)
