NOTD: Summer Festival

This is a recreation of a beautiful mani done by @lacquerandspice. I loved it as soon as I saw it and just knew I had to do it too!

To begin as always I applied a base coat to all nails, on the glitter nails I used UNT's Ready For Takeoff peel off base coat. On my index finger I applied 2 coats of China Glaze Lip Smackin' Good, on my middle finger 1 coat of Barry M Cotton and on my little finger KIKO 389 Mint Milk. Then on my thumb and ring finger I applied one coat of F.U.N Lacquer Queen and used a sponge to build it up as this gives a higher amount of glitter and not too much of the base polish.

On my middle finger painted white I did a sponge gradient using China Glaze Lip Smackin' Good and KIKO 389 Mint Milk. I applied Rainbow Connection Zap Skin Protector around my nail.

For the stamping I used MoYou London Black Knight and 2 stamping plates from the Bundle Monster Festival Collection. On the gradient middle finger I stamped the dream catcher image from plate BM-S301. On my index finger I stamped the chevron image from plate BM-S305 and on my little finger the smaller chevron image from the same plate.

To complete the mani I applied a top coat of Seche Vite to all nails.

NOTD: Jack Skellington

Have loved seeing all the Jack Skellington manis so I decided to do my own! My cat decided that a scratch on my finger would make them look better... I disagree!

To start as always I painted a base coat on all my nails. I recently purchased OPI's Glitter Off Base Coat, I used this on my thumb and ring finger. I will update with my opinion of it in my next post, for now I can say it was very easy to apply and it seems like it should stay put until I decide to take it off, but we will see! After applying my base coats I painted just one coat of Barry M Cotton to all nails, definitely my new go to White!! I'm sure it would stamp very well too as do most of the other Barry M Gelly's.

On my thumb and ring finger I sponged on a gradient going from black to white. I used Barry M Cotton, Barry M Chai and China Glaze Liquid Leather. Around my nails as always when I do a gradient I put Rainbow Connections Zap Skin Protector. I also applied a glitter topper over the gradient, China Glaze Ghostess With The Mostess.

On my index and little finger I did these black and white stripes. I used She Sells Seashells straight stencils and China Glaze Liquid Leather.

Using my Uber Mat from Uber Chic Beauty I created Jack Skellington's face. I applied a clear coat on the mat, then used a black Sharpie to draw his face as shown. I then peeled it off and applied a clear coat to my middle finger nail to stick it on.

To finish I applied a top coat of Seche Vite to all nails.

NOTD: Indian Summer

Today is officially the first day of Autumn, and typically all September people have said we are going to get a week of hot weather, an Indian Summer. But of course that didn't happen and I doubt it will happen, so here is my Indian Summer mani :)

As always I painted a base coat over all my nails. Then on my thumb, middle and ring finger I painted 2 coats of Ciate Play Date. And on my index and little finger 3 coats of F.U.N Lacquer King.

I then created a subtle red gradient. For this I again used Ciate Play Date along with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Rapid Red and Nails Inc Tate. I applied Rainbow Connection's Zap Skin Protector on the skin around my nails.

On top of the gradient I stamped this pattern from Born Pretty Store plate BP-L008 using Barry M Gold Foil.

To finish I painted a top coat of Seche Vite on all nails.

NOTD: End Of Summer Leopard

I got a new phone case the other day and did this mani inspired by it. I was going to do something more Autumnal as it feels like Summer has ended, however there are still technically a couple weeks of Summer left and for a change today it's actually quite sunny. So here is my last Summery mani for a while!

To start as always I applied a base coat to all nails. Then I painted 1 coat of China Glaze White On White on all nails. Once dry I used a triangle makeup sponge to create a gradient using Avon Viva Pink, Rimmel Orange Bliss and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Man-go Team!
I did this gradient on all nails, but applied it at a slightly different angle on each nail.

Once the gradient was dry, I stamped over this leopard print pattern from Cheeky plate CH2 using MoYou Black stamping polish.

I then applied a top coat of Seche Vite to all nails, and that is the mani finished!

And here is my nails against the case that inspired this mani :)

NOTD: Cold Mountain

I have seen a few different kinds of scaled gradient manis so this is my chevron design.

I first painted all my nails with a base coat. Then I painted 1 layer of Barry M Eat My Dust on all nails.

To creat the gradient I again used Barry M Eat My Dust along with China Glaze Electric Beat. I then painted over with China Glaze Fairy Dust. The stuff around my nails is Zap Skin Protector from Rainbow Connection.

I then used a chevron nail vinyl from She Sells Seashells and placed this on my nail along with some more of the Zap Skin Protector above the sticker and around my nail. Then I did the gradient as before. This time I didn't add any Fairy Dust.

I finished with a top coat of Seche Vite and that is the many finished.
