Well I am done with finals, though my mind hasn't settled down from it all yet. Dan has one more class to finish then we are both DONE until October, he will go 3/4 time then and I am not sure if I want to go full time or part time, we will see how the break goes.
Things for us to do while not in school:
CAMPING CAMPING CAMPING
organize the house and finish unpacking (I think we've been 'finish unpacking' for a year now)
Clean every knook and crany
make yummy food
oh yes, and go swimming, we love to swim and probably at least 3 times a week lately. We live about 2 blocks from the pool and have an annual membership. I like to do the aquacize classes. Makyra can jump off the edge (without a life jacket), swim back to the top of the water (but can't quite get her head ALL the way out), and then grab onto the ledge again.
Colors
We have been playing the M&M game Don't Eat Pete with Makrya. She loves it and is learning to be patient while everyone else gets a turn also. She has also learned her colors better by playing. Her favorite color has always seemed to be yellow, now she recognizes a lot more.
You can get a game board and instructions of Don't Eat Pete (or as she says it 'no pete!') at www.zakadoo.com.

Hey, I don't know if you've already donated your hair to Locks of Love but they are not totally honest about what they do with the hair. MOST donated hair ends up in the trash (too damaged, too short, colored, etc) and with the small percent that they accept, they make wigs and hairpieces to sell to salons for rich people to buy, not given to needy cancer patients. Look into it on google. If you've already done it, then it's the good thought that counts, right? And you'll know for next time. I now know not to donate to them anymore after sharing AL LEAST 12 inchest of my hair 3 years ago.
Thanks for your comment. I have not yet sent in my hair. I am looking into other hair donation places. I found one that works directly with the American Cancer Society and am considering this one. Does anyone have any other organizations that they've worked with?
