So Long, Farewell

Well this morning I was organizing the food storage closet in the hall way trying to mark that off my things to do before we leave. I also started on the garage shelves but didn't get too far. My day started productive but turned pretty sour and sad when Adam opened the door and said "Susie I think I paralyzed your dog." I thought he was joking but he sounded pretty sad I was on the phone with Daniel and I jumped up and went to see the damage. My poor puppy was sitting by the door and I could tell something was wrong with her leg but then I saw her other leg and started crying it was in a very "broken" position. I freaked out and Daniel kept telling me get her to the vet but I told him that I can't go I can't do it. I was in our room crying and didn't know how to tell him that a vet would do no good. I went back out because he wanted me to talk to Adam and Adam said don't go out there she's dying. I peeked and she was so I told Daniel please come home now. He came home and he was only 5 min away but she had died already. I'm glad she wasn't in pain because she had broke her back so couldn't feel the internal bleeding. I was upset because she had just been playing all morning. Adam felt awful and I felt bad for him because he loved that dog more than anyone and had spent about 2 hours that morning playing with her. She just didn't move when he started the truck and he didn't know she was under the truck so it was pretty tramatic for him, he lost his play buddy. Daniel was also sad and I just didn't think I was that attached but I keep thinking about when we got her and how she has grown. We sure will miss her!!!!! And I'm just glad she had been playing all morning.
On a lighter note we went to Ace Hardware yesterday and we looked at some oops paint. We were able to get a quart of white for the cradle and a gallon of tan for our room at Roma Ann's for a total of $7. We are hoping to get some flooring either carpet or wood for the room because we told Roma Ann that we would help remodel. It will be nice to work on some of those projects. I'll keep y'all posted on what if anything we get done :) P.S. Doctor's appt. went great he said it all looks good. My blood pressure was the best it's ever been and I lost a pound which I expected a huge gain because of Easter splurging! I have an appointment in 3 wks and then ever week after that. I just want LaRae to hurry up because time will just go by faster when she has her baby and my mom comes!

Crafts,Easter and More

Well I've kind of been a slacker lately on my posts but I have been busy spring cleaning, packing, and with easter it just was a lot going on. First off Happy Birthday to MaryJane Griffin!! My oldest sister turned 30 yesterday and though she was a little blue about it, I don't know why she looks great for 30 and doesn't seem to age at all. Quick story when I was about 5 I remember fighting with a sibling and my dad asking me if I wanted to be a troublemaker or a peacemaker like my sister MaryJane. I always thought she was so nice (and I was right) but those terms sounded like some kind of baker to me so I remember always looking at her to see why she didn't have a chef's hat on if she was a peacemaker. I still want to be like my sister because she is so kind and caring.

So we had craft day last Thursday and I finished my pillows here is the final product they will go with the black/white crib bedding.I also finished her dress it was made with left over material from the bedding It wasn't as cute as I wanted it to be but i can honestly say I made her some clothes :) Next week's project is just finishing some loose ends on the bumper pad. I would like to refinish a dresser soon. I want to make it into a changing table and also do something with the bottom dresser drawer kinda like this picture but a smaller dresser and in white

Easter was fun Tyson was so cute he didn't really understand but he likes getting candy. I had spent 2 hours on Saturday preparing for my nursery lesson because it was the fish one and I think everyone remembers playing the fishing game. I had made poles for all the kids and I had used contact paper and magnets to make it work. The kids would be able to take a couple fish home and their pole. Unfortunately someone had messed with our clock and it was 20 minutes off so I kept wondering why these parents were picking up the kids so early and never realized that church was over. I was bummed but I guess I can do it next week. I think I'll take pics because it might be our last week.

We are moving! I bawl almost every night thinking about leaving Tyson because it will never be the same again. Daniel tells me it wouldn't be the same anyways when my baby comes and I know he's right but I can't imagine not seeing him every single day. I'm being silly because we are only moving to Hurricane and it is for the best. With LaRae's baby coming and mine it would be pretty hectic around here. Also we are moving in with Daniel's Aunt Roma Ann. All of her kids are out of the house (well one will be in the marines mid-april) and she is a widower. I know her kids were a little worried about her being alone and we love her and had discussed moving in with her because she'll have 4 empty rooms. We asked how she felt about it and about having a baby in the house and she said "Are you kidding, I would love it" She has one recently married daughter but no grandkids yet and loves those little ones. Daniel is really excited because it is right by where he grew up and loves that land. We also get to take our dog, which makes Daniel so excited! I just look forward to a little more space but sure appreciate everything that LaRae and Adam have done, I just hope that the 5 min drive isn't to far from my Tyson boy
