Cowgirl Mya

Mya came riding into the living room today on her stick horse... and so I asked her if I could take her picture and what her horsie's name was, "His name is Rexaneedoe". And there you go.

Since Jaida joinded our family 2 months ago, Mya has really turned into a funny kid. It's probably based on fighting for more attention, but whatever the cause, it sure is entertaining. All of a sudden she's very friendly and she loves to sing and dance and talk about herself in 3rd person. She's also an AMAZING painter and colorer (for a 3 year old). Love you Miss My!

Toquerville falls

 We set off on an adventure today... to Toquerville falls. One of the many Southern Utah swimming holes. None of us had been there, not even Jimmy, and he's a lifer. Jen had to teach insurance class, but she wouldn't have liked the steep rough road that we had to go on to get out there anyway. It was about 10 degrees cooler out there and the running water was very refreshing. We took a picnic lunch and the kids swam and caught frogs and we just enjoyed being together outside.

After we got back and showered and napped a little we headed over to the HS for a benefit dinner that the rugby team was putting on for the family of one of their coaches who passed away recently. He was Polynesian... so it was polynesian food, which is always yummy and Eric Dodge performed and we got to do a little country line dancing... which is always fun.

First Day of School!

Michael is in 8th grade this year! (I know, no way!) And Haleigh is finishing up elementary school in 5th grade. She's having to go it alone since her 2 BFF's have moved on to 6th grade. They both had an awesome first day back. Michael rode his bike and said he got chased by a dog and almost hit by a car - that's awesome? And Haleigh's teacher lets them chew gum in class! Now THAT'S AWESOME!

We had Julie and Jen and Jimmy, Taylor, & Carter over for Tacos and cake and ice cream after an afternoon of swimming at Jen's pool and putting her room together. Got this chair from Julie, and sporting the watch from Jen.

 Then a party with friends on Friday. Haleigh wanted to play pin the tail on the Donkey--ALWAYS a classic. Then we loaded up and went down to town square for the outdoor movie, Megamind. It was a funny one. We got there just in time for it to start so they didn't get to play redneck criquet.

 Doing some work on her room. I'll have to do another post of the finished product. It's super cool!

 No more yellow, or flowers. I kinda miss it. :)



Prepair for the fair!

Haleigh is pretty artsy fartsy! And Mya is following VERY closely in her footsteps. All summer Haleigh has been working on different things to enter in the fair. So this is the two of them painting some pictures. Haleigh's is a guitar to go along with this years theme at the fair which is "Rock-n-Roll" and Mya is busy painting "Plankton with Sunshine and Turtles".
