Making History in St. George

The 1st St. George Ironman is coming up this next week. I have a volunteer team of just over 100 people as Finish Line Catchers! Had just over 130, but some were needed other places so they've stolen them from me. That's cool though. It's going to be awesome! Not to mention Inspiring!
Can't wait to update with pictures and stories.Race day is May 1st

Easter 2010

We celebrated this Easter with our triathlon yesterday and then the Sevy's invited us again to their annual Easter picnic. It was so fun, with tons of DELICIOUS food. The kids had a Easter egg hunt and then all the guys went to priesthood meeting for conference.

This morning we were up early, about 7ish, to see if that big 'ole ball of fur filled our bastkets... he did. Spending the rest of the day relaxing because we have a very full week ahead.

We TRI!

Today was the SHAC triathlon.
I signed the kids up the other day and when I was signing them up I figured what the heck and signed myself up too. Glad I did. It was really fun, even though my training consisted of about a 2 mile run last week and a 500 swim 2 weeks ago. :) Needless to say my time in the beginner length tri was what I used to to the sprint distance out at the lake. :) I'll get back to it!
It's always a good time.
The kids did awesome! Michael was super speedy today! And Haleigh fell in love with triathlons! As soon as she finished she asked, "Can I do it again next year?" She thought it was the coolest thing. She definatly wants to do the one in the fall. We'll have to keep our ears open for any other kid courses. Cousin Taylor raced with them too.

6th Grade Science Fair

Michael won 5th place in his science fair today with his bacteria growing experiment. He took 3 samples from home (remote, keyboard, and phone) and 3 from school (office door, drinking fountain, and snack machine) to see where more bacteria grows. And the answer to that question is:The school snack machine!
He won a $10 gift card to Barnes & Noble and he will go on to the District Intermediate School Science Fair next week.
Way to go Michael!
