J'Dell Wedding

I know, ya'll can't believe my man hating sister finally fell in love and got married! ;) But she did! It was an absolutely beautiful ceremony and celebration!

We love you Jen & Jimmy!

and yes, I made the cake!

Oh yah, and that's Cody standing behind Julie... they got engaged last week!

Halloween @ school

Halloween parties at school are the BIG THING! I remember we used to have Christmas parties too. Now they really don't do anything for Christmas (at least at our school) and we have another pretty good party for Valentines Day... but nothing like Halloween! The kids parade all through the school and you get to see all their cute and scary costumes, then head back to their class rooms for the party! I went to help out this year.

Halloween Carnival

Every year the youth of our ward put on a Halloween Carnival for the kids.
This year there were lots of games and prizes! Michael had his 1st playoff game for football so he had to miss it and Thanks to Autumn for taking his place and going as Thing 1 with Haleigh so she didn't feel weird without her counterpart. Next year he'll get to help out!

Ericka & Bret's Cake

This is the cake I made today (well, ALL week for today) for my friend Andrea's little sister. Turned out pretty nice, eh? BIG kuddos goes out to Daniel who rolled most of the fondant for me after my arms hurt so bad from rolling out that huge 18'er! Whew! Not wanting to do that for awhile... at least not til next month for Sierra & Landon! ;)

Aviation Merit Badge

This morning Michael got to go on a flight with Bro. Gary Haase for his Aviation Merit badge. SO COOL! He took them threw pre-flight check and then took them on a wild ride through the sky! After checking out where the new airport is going to be... he said, "This is what it feels like to do barrel rolls!" and around they went! The boys were squealing like little girls and Gary was just laughing in his headset! He also showed them what it was like at Zero gravity and what it's like to dive bomb. After they got back everyone was good to go, but in the car Michael had his window down and I asked him if he needed it down? "uh, huh" is all he muttered. : ) He was pretty nauseous for a good hour afterwards! Way to go Michael for not losing your cookies!!

O.K. Seriously?

Let it be known that I offered to take pictures for Michael's fooball team, only to be told after I was given the go ahead, that the coach already had someone lined up. Oops, he forgot.
WELL... let's all take a vote,

Do you like picture #1
or picture #2And I can even do this!

Seriously?

Summit Tri

Today Michael and Taylor (soon-to-be cousin-in-laws) competed in the Summit Athletic club triathlon. They both did an awesome job and had a ton of fun! It was another perfect day here in Sunny St. George (as is every day in October) and all us parents wished we were out there with them! The Summit was my first Tri over 4 years ago, it was in August then.

Way to go guys!

Fastest transition EVER! He dropped his helmet on the run!

There's something to be said for not having to change shoes twice.

P90X / Yoga X

So Daniel and I started P90X on Monday. It's a workout program. It's been fun to do together so far, but I think I might have to start doing my workouts in the morning... he thinks so too... but I mean more like 7 and he is thinking 5. We have set up the garage with our old TV and even a pull up bar. Good thing we cleaned and organized so we could get the truck in the garage, guess it'll have to wait another 3 months! Anyway, Thurday is Yoga day. Not just yoga, but YOGA X! It's an hour and a half! I love yoga and thought it was pretty tough, but Daniel has NEVER even tried yoga. We spent a lot of time laughing... and he was pretty sick of sun salutations about 1/2 way into it! :) I couldn't resist getting my camera out to sneak a picture of him... and Mya couldn't resist jumping in with us! :)

80 degrees = PERFECT!

Julie and boyfriend Cody wanted to hang out with us REALLY bad! No doubt cuz we're so awesome. So we decided to go rapelling after school on Friday. It was SO beautiful! This was Michael's 3rd rapelling lesson and he is doing great. This was Haleigh's first time EVER and she did SO awesome. She doesn't have the fear of heights that Michael has, so she just got up there and was a pro! Mya had fun helping belay and eatting dirt.

NO FEAR!
We scooted over a little to the next wall and got to climb. IT WAS SO FUN! I don't think I've climbed anything for 10 years!! Definatly will need to head out again soon. Here's Michael at his attempt to climb the wall. He got a little more spread out than this, but not much higher.

This is me on the right. About 5 o'clock there was a whole group of people out there enjoying a perfect afternoon.

Meanwhile, in Wyoming...

And that's why we live in St. George!
