Fall Family Pictures

Our friend Kristin isn't a professional photographer... she just takes professional photos... without the professional pricetag! Check out this one... it's PRICELESS! I love it! What a face! Thanks Kristin!

Saturday

We started our day bright and early over at the Sevy's to help Shaye at his garage sale to raise funds for his Eagle Scout project. Haleigh and McKenna ran the bake sale and did an awesome job!
After the boys got home from their campout we got ready and ran to Cedar City for Michael's game against a Cedar City 6th grade team. They only had 5 extra players so Michael got to play all sorts of positions and even run the ball. We won 21 - 7 Here he is as team captain calling the toss...

Game Time!

DH Homecoming game

So after a fun filled day of Horses at school and playing in the river we headed to Desert Hills High School homecoming tailgate party and football game. Unfortunatly the game wasn't even worth blogging about. *I think Michael's team could have AT LEAST scored! But here's Mya asking McKenna where the shave ice went? She puts her little palms up, it's so cute. And here's Michael... THAT'S where the shave ice went! And Haleigh being her goofy self! Notice their team spirit! :)

Combined Achievement Day

We took all the achievement day girls from our ward down to the river to have a water play day! It was such a FUN thing to do. I can't believe I had never gone down there before. The girls found all sorts of rocks and shells and then we build sandcastles and played in the mud. Not everyone could make it since we had to switch from our regular Monday schedule to Friday, but I don't know how we would have gotten everyone there anyway. I have 15 girls who all come but 2 ususally and I think the older girls usually have 9. We had 16 go today. And good timing before it cools off.

3rd grade rodeo week

Every year during the Dixie Roundup Rodeo the 3rd graders get to ride Mrs. McGregore's horses. Since Haleigh is in 3rd grade this year... it was HER TURN! Here she is waiting in line and then getting a ride on "Lightning". She loves horses.

1st football game

Michael's first official tackle football game was last night vs. Snow Canyon. I had to take Haleigh and another girl to a violin performance, and we only made it for the last 5 minutes of the game. Thanks for Julie going and capturing this photo for us. They ended up losing 0-2. Michael was pretty bummed, but he still had fun! And THAT'S WHAT COUNTS!

Photo fun - Mermaids and Walkers

Photo editing is so relaxing and theraputic... I haven't thought about anything I have to do tomorrow or stupid people (like football and other people) the WHOLE time I've been playing with these pictures!
First of all... here's the Girls and I on the beach... we have to be pretty dry to get our land legs! ;)

And the other morning while we were walking (this is me and all the other mom's who's boys get on the bus with Michael in the morning) I took my camera to try and catch a picture of the sunrise in the smoke. That didn't turn out so well, but I took one picture and Lisa took another so I just cut her out of the other and put her in this one. The colors are a little different, but at first glance I don't think you can tell! Fun. Fun. Fun.

WashCo.Jr.Tackle Scrimmage

Last night Michael had a scrimmage against the other teams in his league. They are Snow Canyon, Dixie, and Hurricane. I thought they did really well, but Michael wasn't so sure. One thing for sure they were all worn out after playing 3 games against all the other teams.
I don't think we're going to play with this league again next year though. I don't know if it's the league or the super annoying coach they have that should be the head CHEERLEADER! Tonight they hit us with selling fundraiser pizza cards because the boys "voted" to have their names on their jersey's. OH GOODY, we'll be the ONLY team in our league (of only 4 teams) to have our names on our jersey and the $100 fee doesn't cover it so they have to sell these stupid cards for the grossest pizza in town that our elementary school already sold. So our neighborhood is totally saturated with them already! Sure am glad they ran this by the parents first... which I can't believe he didn't since he sends out an email for every thought that leaves his head. AAHHHGGG! Not to mention we were PROMISED in an email that they would have their jersey's by Labor day. So WHO KNOWS when they'll have them now... I guess after they sell their quota of pizza cards. Note to self: If a team of 30 11 year old boys tell you they all want new Ferrarri's for Christmas, CHECK WITH THE PARENTS FIRST!!!!!!
I'm turning into my Dad for sure. I sure am glad Michael LOVES football!
*On a positive note... Thanks to Brandon for buying all of Michael's to use as recognition in the business!! Two birds with one stone!*

Haleigh's weekend

It's Haleigh's baptism weekend, and Daniel's brother came a day early so we could run around with the kids for a day and really wear ourselves out! ;) We started at 7a.m. with helicopter rides from Kerry (Daniel's boss) It was SO great! Everyone LOVED it! Then it was back home for a minute so we could head to Pirate Island Pizza for lunch and then to the Washington pool for swimming and home for a BBQ with Grandma and Grandpa Frahm and Grandma Hansen and Jennifer and Jimmy and Julie and Cody. THEN... off to Lazer mania to top off the day! Whew! (I skipped lazer mania to get Mya to bed and get some cookies and stuff ready for the baptism)

Saturday we hung out around the house. Daniel and John and Sean and Grandpa went shooting or something with guns anyway. Jen and Ju took mom out to Peach days, and I finished up details and Haleigh's cake and got cleaned up. The baptism started at 6. There were 4 other boys who were baptised too. Haleigh had great support from all her family and friends. And afterwards we invited everyone over to our house for refreshments. The house was busting at the seams, but it was great! Thanks to ALL!

All our family who attended, except Scott and Gordon & Sue who were behind the cameras

someone caught this cute picture of Mya drawing with Cody
Sunday was spent at church and then Marian gave Daniel a lesson in pastalito making. It's his favorite Honduran dish that she makes. Mmmm. They are SO good. Then we rested for a little while and hung out and visited. Then it was time to break out more food. We BBQ'd marinated chicken and shrimp and dutch ovened potatoes and had salads rolls etc. Grandpa made homemade icecream and Daniel dutchovened peach cobbler and black forest cobbler. MMMmmm.
