2010- A New Beginning?

Dear Baby,
We have waited so long to meet you. We’ve wondered if you will be a boy or a girl. If you will have your dad’s dimples. We’ve dreamed of sharing our news with our family. Decorating your nursery. Meeting you for the first time. Rocking you to sleep.
Little one, we’ve struggled and toiled for you. We have longed and waited. We have cried and prayed. We have endured and planned over and over again. We have begged God for you the chance to meet you- to fulfill our purpose of being parents.
We knew we would do whatever it took to bring you home. We didn’t know how you would come to us. But we did know we would love you so very much.
There were days when it felt hopeless. When we weren’t sure it would ever happen.
That faint second pink line blew in a breath of hope. My heart stopped- then raced. Could it be? Has our prayer been answered on this, the eve of a New Year? A new decade?
We pray that it may be so. I will do my best to keep you safe little one, until that special day when we get to meet you. You are already so loved. We can’t wait to meet you.
