Movie Review - Dolly Parton's Mountain Magic Christmas

Dolly Parton's Mountain Magic Christmas

About the Movie

A modern-day movie musical about the making of a network TV special, Dolly Parton's Mountain Magic Christmas is the frenetic backstage story and delightful on-camera results of Dolly's desire to uplift an exhausted world's spirits by sharing the unique "mountain magic" she has always found in and around Dollywood at Christmas. Throughout the movie's production numbers and rehearsal chaos, Dolly finds herself taking a private journey into her past, guided by the mysterious appearances of her personal Three Wise Men. When it's time for her big special to air live, a renewed and inspired Dolly goes rogue and shows the world that the real magic of Christmas lies in the hearts of the children we all once were, the realization that Christmas is about the people we share it with, and how her faith remains the common thread between Christmases past, present, and future.

My Take on the Movie
This was a very fun movie that brought out Dolly in all of her glory. I will say that I would have appreciated to hear more Christmas music as there was not as much as I would have thought. The movie does have a lot of music in it, but it was a bot of a hodge-podge of music which leads to the overall show that is being created. People that are BIG Dolly Parton fans just want to see Dolly sing and hear her tell stories. You do get some of this, but I would have loved even more. That being said, it was still a fun movie overall!

Blue Beetle

As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab. Bonus Content:

Blue Beetle Generations: Origins Blue Beetle Generations: Production Begins Blue Beetle Generations: In Full Flight Blue Beetle Generations: A Hero's World Scarab Vision: Episode 1: Initiation Scarab Vision: Episode 2: Mastery Blue Beetle's Nana Knows Best

My Take on the Movie
As a fan of DC Comics, Blue Beetle was always a character that I loved and I was excited to see it come to the big screen. One of the things that I loved about the film is that you get a true origin story that does follow the DC Comic storyline (for the most part). As in any comic film, this film has a little bit of everything for all viewers. You get drama, comedy, suspense and tons of action while surrounding all of it with a great cast that you can really connect with. As you watch the film, if you are a true lover of the comic, you will definitely find some hidden Easter Eggs that you will love (so be on the lookout). The movie was a ton of fun and definitely a movie I would encourage any superhero film fan to watch! It just flies by and in the end you will be cheering on Jamie and wanting to see Blue Beetle again in the future!

Movie Review - Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm

Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm

About the Movie
Aqua Teen Forever: Phantasm is a 2022 American direct-to-video adult animated surreal black comedy film based on the Adult Swim animated series Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and a stand-alone sequel to the 2007 film Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters. The film was produced, written, and directed by series creators Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis, and features the voices of Dana Snyder, Carey Means, Willis, Maiellaro, Peter Serafinowicz, Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Rothwell, Robert Smigel, Tim Robinson and Jo Firestone. The film centers around the Aqua Teens reunited as they come into conflict with an evil tech mogul named Neil, who runs the mega-corporation Amazin.

My Take on the Movie
It has been a long time between the two movies and many years since the series ended too. Just so you know, the two movies have nothing to do with each other and other than similar actors voicing parts and similar roles and art styles the new movie is not really continuing on the cannon that you may know from the past. This was a good movie and even if you know nothing about the series it is a fun time to watch with friends.

Holiday Gift Guide - Original Christmas Classics Bluray Steelbook

Original Christmas Classics Bluray Steelbook

About the Bluray
The cute and family-friendly box set contains four of the most beloved holiday TV specials of all time, including the Rankin/Bass classics “Frosty the Snowman,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” and “Frosty Returns.” Watching these iconic TV specials are part of the American holiday tradition, just like baking cookies or trimming the Christmas tree! The holiday season just wouldn’t be the same without them…

The Original Christmas Classics collection will be available wherever Blu-rays ($44.95 SRP) are sold.
The Original Christmas Classics" DVD set includes the seven features listed below:

  1. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer (1964 47 minutes)
  2. Santa Claus Is Coming To Town (1970 51 minutes)
  3. Frosty The Snowman (1969 25 minutes)
  4. Frosty Returns (1992 23 minutes

My Take on the Bluray
Talk about holiday traditions, I grew up watching these holiday classics and every year since, even though I am now an adult, I will look forward to watching these shows when they come on the network stations. I was so excited to see that they put these together as I had been wanting to share them all with my own daughters, but have not been able to find them all on television.

There are a few shows that you might also attribute to this classic status that are not here such as Rudolph's Shiny New Year (which I thought would be here but it was not), but I cannot fault the developers too much on that as what you do get is worth the wait!

All of the shows are fun and bring out the holiday spirit in everyone. My kids and I sat down to watch these over the last few days and they loved them.

I encourage you to make these shows a part of your family's holiday tradition too! You will not regret it!

DVD Review - Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero

Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero

About the DVD
Based on an incredible true story, the heartwarming, family-friendly animated adventure SGT. STUBBY: AN AMERICAN HERO deploys on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital and On Demand December 11, 2018 from Paramount Home Media Distribution. Featuring an all-star voice cast, SGT. STUBBY: AN AMERICAN HERO has been lauded by critics and received the Dove Foundation’s “All Ages” Seal of Approval and Parents’ Choice Gold Award, making it an ideal holiday gift that the whole family can enjoy.

SGT. STUBBY: AN AMERICAN HERO depicts the little-known true story of the unbreakable bond between a young soldier and a stray dog on the brink of America’s entry into World War I. For his valorous feats, Stubby is still recognized today as the first dog promoted to the rank of Sergeant in the U.S. Army and the most decorated dog in American history. He is also widely considered the forerunner to the U.S. Army’s working dog program. The delightful animated film shows the world that the greatest heroes can come from the unlikeliest places.
SGT. STUBBY: AN AMERICAN HERO was directed by award-winning documentarian Richard Lanni and features the voices of Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson & The Olympians) and Helena Bonham Carter (Harry Potter films).

The SGT. STUBBY: AN AMERICAN HERO Blu-ray and DVD both include a digital copy along with a behind-the-scenes featurette with cast interviews, a documentary short about the real Sgt. Stubby, never-before-seen production art and a historic photo gallery of the early 20th century world as depicted in the film.
Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero 2

With an original score by Patrick Doyle (Brave) and animation services by Technicolor that combine CGI and vintage-inspired 2D sequences, SGT. STUBBY: AN AMERICAN HERO was produced and distributed by Fun Academy Motion Pictures. Screenwriters are Richard Lanni and Mike Stokey II (Band of Brothers), with editing by Mark Solomon (Chicken Run).

Special Features:

  • “The Making of a Hero” Featurette with Behind-the-Scenes Footage and Cast Interviews
  • “Real to Reel” The True Story of Sgt. Stubby
  • “Animating History” The Art of Sgt. Stubby
  • Historical Image Gallery
  • Spanish Subtitles  Closed Captioning  Descriptive Audio
  • Genre: Animated/Family/Adventure/History  Street Date: December 11, 2018
  • Feature Run Time: Approx. 84 Minutes (Plus Special Features)
  • MPAA Rating: PG for War Action and Some Thematic Elements

The true story of Sgt. Stubby has resonated with audiences of all ages, including parents, educators, animal lovers, military supporters and history buffs alike. The film has been selected as an official project of the United States World War I Centennial Commission and its French counterpart, La Mission du Centenaire 1914-18; additional endorsements and educational partners include the American Legion, the Connecticut State Library, the National Infantry Museum Foundation, the National World War I Museum & Memorial and the Lowell Milken Center for Unsung Heroes.

Beyond his military exploits, Stubby’s status as an adopted stray has resulted in nearly a century of recognition by animal rescues and welfare organizations. As part of the film’s theatrical release, Fun Academy partnered with more than 90 regional and national animal organizations across all 50 states – including the Humane Society of the United States and the Westminster Kennel Club – to shine a light on the human-animal bond and the amazing things adopted animals can do when given a chance in life.

About SGT. STUBBY: AN AMERICAN HERO:
With the “War to End all Wars” looming, the life of Army “doughboy” Robert Conroy (Lerman) is forever changed when a little stray dog with a stubby tail wanders into a training camp in New Haven, Conn. Conroy gives his new friend a meal, a name, a family and the chance to embark on an adventure that would define a century.

About the Real-Life Stubby: Before he was a hero, Stubby was homeless, unwanted, unwashed and unloved, scrounging for scraps on the streets until he was taken in by Private First Class Robert Conroy of the 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th “Yankee” Division.

In France, Stubby saw frontline action in four offensives and 17 battles. He found wounded soldiers, saved an entire company by alerting the men to don gas masks and even caught a German spy. After the recapture of Château-Thierry, the women of the town made him an embroidered jacket that would serve as Stubby’s uniform and display his numerous awards throughout the rest of his career.

Returning home to a hero’s welcome, Stubby and Conroy toured the country leading victory parades and met three sitting U.S. presidents, among other honors.

My Take on the Book
I have heard about Sgt. Stubby in the past but this was the first in-depth examination of the dog in a fun, family-friendly way. In watching this as a family I found that this movie to be a fun movie that really was inspirational. This movie really showed how Stubby went from street dog to K9, You also get to see the very unique and special relationship that Stubby has with Robert Conroy. This was a powerful story that everyone should see that shows you the power of this special relationship and the power of the love between dog and friend. Come and learn about the amazing feats of this great dog!

Movie Review - DC Superhero Girls: Legends of Atlantis

DC Superhero Girls: Legends of Atlantis

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the DVD I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions are my own.

About the Movie

The students of Super Hero High dive deep into their latest adventure as Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and DC Entertainment bring you DC Super Hero Girls: Legends of Atlantis, the newest feature in the popular, groundbreaking universe celebrating young girls. The journey with the toughest class of female DC Super Heroes will be available on Digital ($14.99 SRP) and DVD ($19.98 SRP) on October 2, 2018. Special bonus content on the release includes the 44 minute previously-aired television special, “Super Hero High.”

It seems like an uneventful day at school until the powerful Book of Legends is suddenly stolen from Super Hero High. In order to uncover the mystery, Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl, Bumblebee and the rest of the Super Crew must journey through the depths of the ocean to Atlantis. There, the girls encounter Mera and Siren, the ocean-dwelling thieves, who prove to be a formidable match. In order to recover the stolen tome and return it to its rightful place, DC Super Hero Girls must band together and use their collective powers to successfully get back to land…and back to class!

Cecilia Aranovich Hamilton and Ian Hamilton direct from a script by Shea Fontana. Jennifer Coyle serves as producer with Sam Register as Executive Producer.

“TheDC Super Hero Girls return to fight new villains of the deep in the all-new movie DC Super Hero Girls: Legends of Atlantis,” said Mary Ellen Thomas, WBHE Vice President, Family & Animation Marketing. “This exciting new adventure continues to spread the important message of female empowerment to young people – everywhere!”

My Take on the Book
This was a great movie that brings together a great group of super heroes. One of the things that I loved too was that the super heroes were all strong female characters. In this movie you get to see the students of Super Hero High under the sea in a fun new adventure. We loved meeting Mera and Siren and while Siren serves as the main villain, we loved to be able to see these characters working together and against each other too. My daughter loved seeing Wonder Woman, Mera, Bumblebee, Supergirl, and Batgirl all together again. She also kept telling me how great these characters work together as a team and I have to agree.

On top of having the great girl characters you also get to see great fun moments with Beast Boy, Katana, Flash, Starfire, and some others.

For me, this was a great movie, with good character development, adventure, suspense and more all in one movie. If you love the other DC Superhero Girl movies and television shows, you’ll love this.

Book Review - Movie Quotes for all Occasions

Movie Quotes for all Occasions

About the Book
Best movie quotes: We all do it. Every day, with or without noticing, you quote movies. Hit a search engine and you can find thousands of lists of the best movie quotes of all time. From Rhett Butler to Obi-Wan Kenobi, movie quotes have become an integral part of expression. However, the movie quotes that often show up on these “best of” lists rarely lend themselves to important moments in life. Nor are they meant to provide personal motivation. Open any typical movie quote list or book and you’re likely to see “May the Force be with you,” or “I’ll have what she’s having.” Does that really do anything for us as readers looking for inspiration, motivation, or simply a beautiful phrase to couple with your own words?
Best movie quotes for all occasions: That’s where I come in. I’ve scoured the movie world to track down the most appropriate, best movie quotes for every occasion. From weddings to pre-game pep talks, I’ve found the quotes that are moving, inspirational, or just plain hilarious that do more than just remind of the movies they came from. These quotes transcend their stories and enrich your life.
  • Looking to rally your team before the big game? Try this quote from Capt. Malcom Reynolds from the science-fiction film Serenity (2005): “You all got on this boat for different reasons, but you all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all… So no more running. I aim to misbehave.”
  • Need a quote to cap off your perfectly humorous wedding speech with some genuine, but witty, sentiment? Try some wisdom from Juno… from Juno (2007): “Look, in my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you. The right person is still going to think the sun shines out of your ass. That’s the kind of person that’s worth sticking with.”
Movie Quotes for All Occasions provides hidden gems from a variety of film genres. Whether blockbuster megahits or forgotten indies, we’ve got the right quote for the right occasion.

My Take on the Book
If you love quotes and especially movie quotes, this book is a great treasure trove of wisdom. Whether you are looking to give a speech or simply collecting great quotes for yourself, this book will give you a ton of movie quotes from a wide-array of movie and genres. Not only do you get fun quotes but you also get some fun commentary by the author as well which makes the book even easier to read and enjoy!

DVD Review - Mr. Mom

Mr. Mom

About the Movie
While Caroline Butler (Teri Garr, Tootsie) re-enters the workforce and becomes the rising star of her advertising agency, her newly unemployed husband Jack (Michael Keaton, Night Shift) finds himself a new job … as a stay-at-home dad! But if Jack thinks his old career in the automotive industry was tough, he has no idea what's waiting for him at home: the ins and outs of dropping the kids off at school, soap operas, woobies, babies with chili, a clean-up on aisle seven and a vacuum cleaner named "Jaws. ", Not to mention the seedy neighborhood drama!

Inspired, in part, by writer John Hughes’ (Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles) own life lessons as a clueless stay-at-home father, Mr. Mom is sure to have every parent slapping their foreheads with sympathy, as they slap their knees with laughter!

My Take on the Movie
This movie brings me back and it is funny to watch it now that I am a father. Michael Keaton does a great job at showing that Dads have what it takes to stay at home after some twists and turns. The movie has a lot of laughs and touching moments throughout and I am so glad that I was able to watch this again, this time with my own kids! We all had a blast!

DVD Review - The Pink Panther Collection

 photo disclaimer_zpsd3x74ej2.jpg

About the DVD
The 6-film collection consists of The Pink Panther (1964), A Shot in the Dark (1964), The Return of the Pink Panther (1975), The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976), Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978), and Trail of the Pink Panther (1982), each directed by Academy Award winner Blake Edwards (Victor/Victoria, Breakfast at Tiffany’s). For the first time, all six are available together in a single collection, with four making their debuts on Blu-ray, including A Shot in the Dark and The Pink Panther Strikes Again, both presented in new4K scans of the interpositives. The set also boasts a treasure trove of bonus features, including new interviews and commentaries.

My Take on the DVD
This new collection contains all of the amazing Pink Panther movies. To be honest I had only seen a few of them, so this was a treat to see them all and experience the magic of great Peter Sellers. Make sure to watch the documentary about the making of these movies That bonus feature was amazing and really allowed me to better understand Peter Sellers as well as appreciate the Pink Panther movies even more. If you are a Pink Panther, or Peter Sellers fan, you will love having this collection in your own home!

DVD Review - Long Way North

Long Way North

 photo disclaimer_zpsd3x74ej2.jpg

About the Movie
LONG WAY NORTH is set in the late 19th century Saint Petersburg. Sacha, a young girl from the Russian aristocracy, dreams of the Great North and anguishes over the fate of her grandfather, Oloukine, a renowned scientist and Arctic explorer who has yet to return from his latest expedition to conquer the North Pole.

Sacha has always been fascinated by the adventurous life of her grandfather and has the same calling as Oloukine to be an explorer. But Sacha’s parents, who already made arrangements for her marriage, strongly disapprove of the idea to say the least. Defying her destiny, Sacha flees her home and launches an adventure-filled quest toward the Great North in search of Oloukine and his ship.

LONG WAY NORTH features an exceptional English voice cast of Chloé Dunn, Vivienne Vermes, Peter Hudson, Antony Hickling, Tom Perkins, Geoffrey Greenhill, Claire Harrison-Bullett, Bibi Jacob, Martin Lewis, Tom Morton, Leslie Clack, Kester Lovelace and Damian Corcoran. *French voice cast includes Christa Théret, Feodor Atkine, Thomas Sagols, Rémi Caillebot, Audrey Sablé, Fabirn Briche, Gabriel Le Doze and Boris Rehlinger.

LONG WAY NORTH DVD and two-disc Blu-ray+ DVD Combo Pack contain English and French audio tracks, English subtitles and insightful bonus content.
  • Conceptual pilot
  • Behind-the-scenes featurette
  • Interview with director Rémi Chayé and producer Henri Magalon
  • Still gallery – character design
  • Still gallery – concept art
  • Animated storyboards

My Take on the Movie
This was a fun movie that really allows you to experience the arctic in a while new way. The story brings back the great director Rémi Chayé back. I loved the work of Rémi Chayé from the past, especially his work from “The Secret of Kells.” In this great new movie you get a very strong female character. Sasha was a fun young character that really challenges herself to be able to try and find her missing grandfather.

While there are some aspects of the story that are beyond reality, you truly can set aside this and have fun. By doing this, you will see a girl that truly uses her creativity and imagination to be able to move her character and the story forward. The story of the movie was exciting and a bit sad, but in all it was a powerful movie with great animation.

Movie Review - Mr. Right

Mr. Right

 photo disclaimer_zpsd3x74ej2.jpg

About the Movie
Hyperactive at the best of times, Martha (Anna Kendrick; Pitch Perfect) has gone full-on manic since her latest breakup. She babbles, parties like a monster, cooks everything in sight — and is looking to do something terrible when she meets Francis (Sam Rockwell; The Way Way Back). To anyone else, Francis’s approach would come across as creepy, but Martha can’t help but be intrigued. They seem a perfect match: she's bananas, he's bananas... except he's a deadly sort of bananas. He’s a professional assassin.

Francis is a hitman with a cause: he unexpectedly kills the people ordering the hits. Just as Martha begins to realize her new beau wasn't joking when he said he had to step out for a moment to shoot someone, things start heating up for Francis. His services are solicited by a dubious client who's being sought by an equally dubious FBI agent (Tim Roth; Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs). As the bodies pile up, Martha needs to decide whether to flee or join in the mayhem.

My Take on the Movie
This was a good movie with a number of unexpected twists and turns. The nice thing about the movie was that you get to see these actors in roles that they typically do not play within. The movie does have violence, so it is definitely not a family film, but if you are looking for a movie that will show you how even being a bit psycho can be affable and lovable too. If you are a fan of action/spy genre films this fits into it as well. While the humor in this is there it is a bit darker. There are some warmer moments between Kendrick and Rockwell too and in the end you will see why the two of them are perfect for one another!

Save the Arctic

My Take on the DVD
There were some cute part within the movie and definitely parts that were funny too, however the movie itself missed the mark at the conclusion of the movie for movie and unfortunately did not close an important loop in the relationship of a few of the characters in my perspective. My kids did love the main characters in the movie and the relationship between Norm and the humans was interesting too. The animation was ok, and while the plot seemed a bit predictable, the movie still was enjoyable, especially for young viewers.

Movie Review - God's Club

God's Club

 photo disclaimer_zpsd3x74ej2.jpg

About the Movie
A faith-based feature about a public school teacher fighting against angry parents who are insisting on the separation of church and state and pushing for the end of the school s Bible club. Everything changes, however, when the parents witness their own children find faith and be saved. Directed by Jared Cohn and starring Stephen Baldwin, Corbin Bernsen and Lorenzo Lamas.

My Take on the Movie
This was a powerful film that really says a lot. The movie shows a teacher (Evans) that is challenged to follow God even when it is not an easy decision to make. The movie explores how a school's Bible Club has to fight to be seen as equal to other student organizations at the school. While there is opposition to the club by some, the teacher continues to pursue their goals and see small wins to be able to get more and more people connected to the club, and the club continues to grow too. Evans has a number of very violent acts placed upon him and his family but the movie continues to show their perseverance in how they defend their right to believe the Bible.

Movie Review - Love Finds You In Charm

Love Finds You In Charm

 photo disclaimer_zpsd3x74ej2.jpg

About the Movie
Young Emma Miller (Danielle Chuchran) would appear to be the luckiest girl in Indiana: An Amish beauty with a loving family and a marriage offer from the community’s most eligible young man, Emma’s future seems right on track. Yet she yearns for adventure and romance and when given the opportunity to spend the season helping her widowed cousin’s market business in scenicCharm, Ohio, she jumps at the chance to see what else the world has to offer.

As she settles into life on her cousin’s farm, she befriends local librarian, Kelly Bennett (Tiffany Dupont) and gets to know Noah (Trevor Donovan) – a striking, well-read, young Amish man who helps work the farm. When Emma’s popular homemade goat cheese attracts the attention of a local bed-and-breakfast anda handsome wine-and-cheese blog editor, Andy (Drew Fuller), she finds herself pulled between two worlds and two men. Emma must decide whether to stay amongst the Amish, or leave behind everyone and everything she’s ever known to venture out into the world.

My Take on the Movie
Emma Miller is not your typical Amish young woman. She dreams of traveling to the ocean and other far off places from her home. Emma reads romance novels secretly. She tries to fit in but knows in her heart she is different and has some difficult decisions to make about her future.

The story progresses as it gives Emma choices. She travels to Charm, Ohio to help her cousin and meets an Amish man, Noah, and an Englisher Kelly who she befriends. Andy another Englisher appears in the town too.Andy offers her a world of traveling to far off places and other opportunities Emma would not even imagine herself experiencing.

Emma is anxious and upset about her longings. She prays and tries new activities to see if they can assist in her decision making. She does not trust herself to know what is right for her until one night.

Emma is able to finally see her life, one that is happy, with Noah in Charm. It has not been an easy journey but you will see her learn a lot and experience so many interesting activities. She will finally see her happiness with the man who has become her best friend. You the viewer will see her happiness with her decision and the peace she feels with that decision.

I enjoyed this movie.

Movie Review - All of My Heart

 photo disclaimer_zpsd3x74ej2.jpg

About the Movie
A young caterer’s life suddenly changes course when she inherits a country home and learns she must share it with a career-obsessed Wall Street trader. At first, these opposites do not attract, but feelings begin to change when they find themselves having to work side-by-side to restore their newly acquired home. Ranked the highest rated Hallmark Valentine's Day movie, All of My Heart is one to love!

My Take on the Movie
Lacey Chabert has acted in many Hallmark channel movies. She always does a convincing job in portraying her character. She brings the character in this movie alive as well.

Our two main characters are totally opposite in their goals in life, until they inherit a home that they must share. This becomes the "recipe" for living together, restoring the home, and learning what truly is important in life.

There are some creative avenues to earn money and some realization that the high powered business world is not all it is supposed to be when your heart changes. The characters opposite tendencies become one and there is love in the air.

I loved seeing Ed Asner in the movie.

I enjoyed the movie and I think you will too.

Movie Review - So You Said Yes

So You Said Yes

 photo disclaimer_zpsd3x74ej2.jpg

About the Movie
When Annabelle, the owner of a specialty bridal shop, falls for Sam, the son of her fierce bridal shop competition, she must fend off Sam's mother's attempts at sabotage to be with the man she loves. Starring Kellie Martin, So You Said Yes is a romantic comedy you won't want to miss.

My Take on the Movie
This was a movie that was fun to watch. The enjoyment comes from the story line and actors.

Kelly Martin does a great job playing Annabelle, an owner of a bridal shop. .She loves vintage clothes and has a good eye for choosing wedding attire. In walks a handsome man who she becomes involved with although they are very different. However his mother owns a rival high end wedding shop in the same town.

The movie is funny. As you see the main characters' love bloom , you also see the mother of the man Annabelle loves creating havoc. It makes you wonder if the couple will be able to resolve issues and become a couple in marriage.

As in all good Hallmark movies, there is resolution between the characters. It is interesting to see how the rivalry disappears and acceptance is acquired. It makes you believe that opposites do attract and can find happiness.
