Sunday Dachshund Prayer
Dear God: Please, be with all the humans and critters where the storms have been this last week. May those who have lost so much be given hope and those who have lost little given inspiration to help instead of hinder.

Monday's Message From Your Dachshund
All the little doxies are very down this week. The cold weather has returned and their hopes of an early spring has been halted by mother nature's snow fury. The little wieners have only been barking a few words from under the cover of their snuggle sacks. Those words that can be repeated go something like this: "I is hibernating until the real spring comes and can somedoxie please bribe that no good squirrel loving ground hog this year!"
As always, if you like the above item, please, click on the picture to get to the item's listing page on Etsy.

Sasha And Her Prezzies
Sasha enjoying her new prezzies she got in the mail. Her Petsjubilee teammates sure know how to spoil her. She is laying on a snuggle sack covered with dachshunds made by Alice from makingstuffwithlove. She is playing with her new Santa Bobo like toy that was given to her from Diana and Family from DianaDesignsNY. She sends many doxie thank you kisses for her special prezzies this year. Also, I just wanted to thank you both, too.

Monday's Message From Your Dachshund!
The bark on the streets this week from all the little long ones is all about the in-door tree being back! They can't stop barking about the lights and of course bragging about: "My human has so many wiener dog ornaments on the tree this year.... My human has a dachshund angel at the top..... My humans put the ornament that looks like me on the tree first this year."

Dachshund Sunday Prayer
Dear God: It is me again, Frito. Now, I lay me down to sleep. I pray my sock toy for me to keep. If I wake, and my brother did take, I shall make a big stink!

What do you love about your dachshund or pet?
Sasha is so special to me. She has a way of just making you laugh by sticking her sleepy head out from under a blanket to see what you are doing. She comes running if you are cleaning the counter tops to hope you will drop the good crumbs to the floor. She zooms around the living room at super sonic speeds and then crashes into something. Then, she comes back to me looking for sympathy and staring at whatever was the crash like it was a big monster that just snuck up on her.
I would like to know what makes your pet/dachshund special to you. Please, share in the comments area below.

Last Minute Doxie Confessions
One last effort to get on the Santa Paws nice list, I, Sassy Sasha, has come up with the dachshund transgression confessional. Here we doxies (or other critters) will share our recent naughtiness in hopes that Santa will forgive us in time for Christmas. Cause, you really know it is hard for us long ones to be good for so very long.
I here admit to 12 excessive barks, 11 water bowls dumped, 10 guests noses licked, 9 stuffies desqueaked, 8 tissues shredded, 7 snow balls shook over the rugs, 6 fuzzy socks hidden under the couch, 5 trash cans tipped, 4 rice cakes snatched, 3 chairs climbed on to get to the table, 2 toilet seats licked, and one bobo decapitated.

Ornaments And Christmas Memories
Sasha here. We have been decorating the tree and Mommy put up my very first doxie Christmas ornament back when I was a little pup on my first Christmas. That is when Mommy met Miss Suz and all my wiener play date buddies. Shortly, after that, we all met and had a blast one play date at a time. Now, miss Suz is on Etsy at redwagonwieners. Aww, the memories one little ornament can bring to mind. Any of you have an ornament that brings back good memories?

Question Of The Day?
We asked the dachshund team members in etsy team forum thread this question today:
What is one thing that you just love about your dachshund?
And these are the answers we got:
ylbb : What I love about Gigi is when I come home from work, how excited she is to see me and all the love she gives me. :) I also love it when she yawn REALLY LOUD (you can totally see she did it on purpose) when I didn't pay enough attention to her. -_- Does anyone else's doxie does that? Or is it only Miss it-is-all-about-Gigi? ;) But it's quite very cute.
LaughingFridge : I love to play ball with Hannah. She catches the ball like a baseball player. She'd make a great outfielder if there was a Dachshund baseball team!
thebeadmeadow: As a kid, driving from FL (home) to TN (were grandparents were) whenever we crossed the stateline into Tennessee, we'd count down one, two and the yell YEEHAW right when we crossed the stateline. Silly, I know, but we did it for years. So the first time me and the hubs took Mimi with us up to my mom's, we counted one, two and at three, Mimi barked "roof-roof". She still does it, too! That's one thing I love about her: her endearing foibles!
SassySashadoxie: The thing I love about Sasha is she shows so much love and affection for everyone even if you accidentally step on a paw or something. She is just so sweet.

Dachshund Fact Or Fiction: Pinot
Dachshund Fact Or Fiction posts are exactly that. We post five little blurbs about a doxie on the team and you guess which is fact and which is fiction. Today we feature Pinot from lynliao3 shop on etsy.
1. She loves firemen. She can't walk by a firehouse without pulling me in and refusing to leave until the firemen come out and pet her (and give her treats).
2. She loves to run and she runs faster than both her human mommy and daddy . They have to take turns relay style running with her because they get tired before she does so they hand her off.
3. She was once the star of a dogumentary. a production company wanted to market dogumentaries and used pinot as the model so a film crew followed her around for a whole day filming "a day in the life of a dachshund".
4. She hated to wear collars or harnesses when she was a baby. She once chewed through a plastic name tag because she hated it so much and left only "NO" (from Pinot) on the tag so her name tag read NO.
5. She hates baths and will give her Mommy the royal stink eye after getting one.
