Adore | The Family Edition

My favourite online magazine, Adore Home, has just released it's special family edition. If you have children of your own, or special little ones in your life, there is so much inspiration waiting for you in these pages.

Starting with a kids' room feature which includes some beautiful nurseries, as well as this stunning 'big girl's' room inspired by The Beverley Hills Hotel in LA.

There's a beautiful shop tour of Montebello Emporium in Melbourne - another one to put on my 'Melbourne shops to visit' list.

You will love the cover home which belongs to interior designer, Kate Sparks. Kate specialises in children's rooms, so you can imagine how amazing her own kids' rooms are! Here are some pics of kitchen and master bedroom, you'll have to read the magazine to see the rest of the tour.

As a huge fan of artist, David Bromley and his nudes, I knew I was going to enjoy touring the Brisbane home of Louisa Curtain, I'm sure you will too.

I have only scratched the surface of what you'll find in this latest edition of Adore. So put some time aside to enjoy it all for yourself.

SE3 Giveaway (Now Closed)

Do you remember back here when I blogged about the gorgeous Danish OYOY range of homeware? I had all my fingers and toes crossed that we'd get a New Zealand stockist in the near future, and I'm excited to say that now we do...

SE3 is an online store founded by Fiona Shine, who lives in Auckland with her husband and gorgeous kids. With a passion for interiors, Fiona wanted a job that would fulfil that love, and make her excited to get to work each day. SE3 offers carefully handpicked products from around the world and New Zealand, including some from the beautiful OYOY range, and lots more.

If that hasn't already got your heart racing, this certainly will... Fiona has kindly offered to giveaway this stunning Mumi Plaid Blanket from OYOY worth $125. Just what you need in these cooler months to snuggle up in style. Measuring 120 x 150cm the geometric black and white blanket is edged in ice-blue and made from the softest, highest quality cotton.

To enter simply 'like' SE3 on Facebook, and also 'like' this Facebook post on the Cush & Nooks page. Once you've done that email me to let me know - don't forget this step, as this is how I will get hold of you if you're the lucky winner. The winner will be announced this Friday 4th July on my Facebook page, and contacted by email. Good luck!

THIS COMPETITION HAS NOW CLOSED. CONGRATULATIONS TO RACHAEL WYETH-BARNES!

Bibby + Brady Shop

Last week I told you that my Cush & Nooks online shop will be transitioning into a Bibby + Brady online shop. Some of the stock will remain the same, but we will be introducing lots of exciting new products that we love to work with in our interior projects. Some will be our own designs, and others from our favourite suppliers.

It will be a gradual process, but I will keep you up to date with progress. At the moment you can access the shop by clicking on the 'Cush & Nooks online shop' ad in the top right hand panel of this blog, or by clicking on the 'shop' page in our Bibby + Brady website. Our new web address is shop.bibbyandbrady.co.nz and we will be redirecting traffic from my old address shortly. Here are some photos featuring a few of our pieces that will be on offer. Thanks for your patience as we transition, and feel free to email me in the meantime if you have any questions, or any requests for items you'd like to see us stock.

DIY Projects | BRIKA

I came across the US based online shop BRIKA recently and was impressed by their beautiful product range. Founded by Kena Paranjape and Jen Lee Koss, BRIKA is a unique online shopping destination featuring the work of authentic artisans and designers. Kena and Jen's aim is to help you build a beautiful life through well-crafted, everyday objects.

I know a lot of you are keen DIY'ers, and BRIKA's Pinterest pages are chocka full of gorgeous DIY projects. I have chosen a few of my faves from their DIY Home Decor board, but I suggest you go and find your own favourites.

Love this DIY stripe doorway. It's been created with washi tape
but you could use paint for a more permanent solution.

Succulents are super popular and this cute little hand-painted pot makes the perfect home for some.

How about DIY colour block crayon candles?! - a great use for those leftover bits of crayons.

Formerly sold in Feliz Home these threaded Bentwood chairs are gorgeous.
With some embroidery thread and lots of patience you could get a similar effect.

I'm lucky enough to own a couple of gorgeous bone inlay trays,
but if you don't, try making this bone inlay-inspired tray.

HK Living

HK Living is an amazing furniture and homewares company started in Holland in 2009. Because it's so fantastic, HK Living grew quickly, and five years later their products are now available in 34 countries round the world, including MintSix here in New Zealand, and several locations in Australia.

If you can't find what you want in any of those shops you could also use New Zealand Post's YouShop service. They'll help you ship products back home from shops that don't offer international shipping. Even if you don't purchase anything you can explore the latest HK Living catalogue and get totally inspired by the incredibly cool styling.
