It's been a rough couple of days with Bentley. He does not sleep during the day-which, in case you didn't know, makes for a very cranky baby...uhhhhhh. I want so bad for him to sleep. He is tired, and will fall asleep fine but then he only sleeps for a half hour. Every Single Time. Does anyone have any suggestions out there? I lay him down tired, he falls asleep, but then wakes up a half our later. I have tried to just let him cry himself back to sleep, but that doesn't work. I have also gone in and put him back to sleep by rocking him then lay him down and he wakes up 2 minutes later. It just seems like some alarm goes off in his head and he won't go back to sleep. He sleeps great at night-there is no problems at night, this is all just during the day. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
After 2 rough days in a row I am pretty tired tonight. I had a meeting this evening, and when I came home the kids were all in bed. Halli was the only one still awake, and I went in to say goodnight to her. While I was in there she asked me to tickle her arm, so I said ok and did for a minute. Then I said it was time for her to sleep. So I gave her a hug, kissed her, said I love you, and went to walk away. Then she reached out for another hug-which is normal-so I gave her another hug and she held me tight and said "I really do love you". It was a good day after all.

That is such a cute story! I'm excited for those moments someday with my own kids. and this photo of Halli is adorable!

I know the no sleep during the day all too well!! My first baby Jonas never slept during the day. Not even 30 minutes. My ped kept telling me that was normal for some babies, I didn't believe that one bit. But NOTHING I tried worked. I hated life for a full year. Once his first birthday came, something finally clicked in his head and he finally started taking naps. I wish I could help you out some, but none of the suggestions given to me worked in the slightest bit. Good luck! I really hope you figure something out. Then maybe you can share it with me for my little one Anna. She doesn't really like to stay asleep during the day much either, but I love me 30 mins here and there, but I only have Jonas to compare to and half hour naps are heaven...
Boo :( Sorry to hear he's not sleeping during the day! The only way I have really gotten Isabelle or Ashlynn to sleep during the day well was to put them in a swing. Ashlynn will only sleep about 1/2 hour on her own, but in the swing she'll sleep at least 2. She falls asleep while I'm rocking her and then I just stick her in there. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to let her sleep in the swing, but it's so worth it! I hope you guys find something that works! Your kids are adorable!
That is rough. I went through that. I went and bought a swing for Carsen to sleep in. It helped but I later figured out that he had acid reflux reallly bad and it was burning. But good luck. Every baby is different.

Cute cute Halli. I too hope to have those moments one day with Jada. (not the bentley stuff, but the halli:)) SORRY ABOUt bentley, I KNOW THAT IS ROUGH AND FRUSTRATING. JADA HAS phases like that too. luCky for me she just fiXED IT ON HER OWN. if i read anything or hear anything that might help i will let you know. (P.s. sorry ABOUT THE TYPING, JADA IS PLAYING WITH THE caps locK) i love you sister!
