You say yes, I say no
You say stop and I say go, go, go
Oh, no
You say goodbye and I say hello
Hello, hello
I don't know why you say goodbye
I say hello
Hello, hello
I don't know why you say goodbye
I say hello

I say high, you say low
You say why, and I say I don't know
Oh, no
You say goodbye and I say hello
Hello, hello
I don't know why you say goodbye
I say hello
Hello, hello
I don't know why you say goodbye
I say hello

Why, why, why, why, why, why
Do you say good bye
Goodbye, bye, bye, bye, bye

-Hello Goodbye, originally by the fab four but covered by the cast of glee

Shucks intended to sleep at 10 but chances are I will get only 5.5 hours. :/ And so it begins ! Hopefully in the process nothing TOO exciting happens, I make nice new friends and I lose weight ! On a coincidental note, I met mark brian on the train. Haha funny fella, wish he was working at the fest this year.. Oh and in other news my hotmail has been screwed up for a few days. How to access work related emails ?!

I say why and you say I don't know
Oh no

Call me a silly girl (or maybe just a white dwarf/black hole to be (and sing some funny song while you're at it)) but there were tears today. Still, thanks Friend. I'm very grateful to know such a strange gem of a person and you know that in the same way, I got your back.

I don't know why you say goodbye
I say hello

He loved green turtles and hawk-bills with their elegance and speed and their great value and he had a friendly contempt for the huge, stupid loggerheads, yellow in their armour-plating, strange in their love-making, and happily eating the Portuguese men-of-war with their eyes shut.

-The Old Man and the Sea, Ernest Hemingway

I like the last bit. A picture of contentment, these turtles and those iridescent bubbles of jellyfish.

'Twas a good read, thanks Sally. :)

你爱我一千倍
我爱你一万倍
失去你的爱
失去你的爱
才知道爱的珍贵

有谁知我心碎
有谁给我安慰
我只有黯然神伤独自在流泪
伤心的人为你流泪
我爱你一万倍

Heard this song at the mothers' day getai at toa payoh when I was with yuklum. Truth be told, I only remember the first two lines because they're so typical and I was feeling too sick, tired and warm to fully pay attention. It's a very simple but sad song by teresa teng, not sure why they sang it at the mothers' day getai, haha.

Wanted to mention a great many things but I haven't done so for reasons including sloth, fear of sifting through deeply embedded layers of feelings and being completely frank here. I shall be cursory for now as medicinal taste on back of tongue, excessive perspiration and vague bloated feeling are making me hanker for sleep even though I did nap today.

Nothing in the sense of bombastically eventful has transpired in the past two weeks. Even though lying on the grass and looking at the stars under the flight of gigantic kites could've been infinitely more romantic (haha), I really enjoyed my japanese bento picnic at the barrage with zkai and gwei. :) Shall bring everyone there to do so again one day ! Watched Chicago with pyong, mrong, gwei and gpt on the 5th. I must admit that it would've been different if I hadn't expectations from the movie. Still, I loved the singing (especially Velma Kelly !!) and the dancing and the music ! Like gerald said, very raw and no frills but packs a whole lot of punch.

Slin is now working at the grand canyon and I hope she enjoys herself. :D The grand canyon ! Qua is in canada doing a summer programme and I wish her better luck in the days to come. 711 !!!! HAHAHA Sally and I were laughing like crazy. It's always open and a blog and more ! Hurhur. Then there was kbox on saturday with the choir people which I always love except this time I wasn't very fulfilled !! Three hours is much too short, we must do it again. :)

Don't think he will read this but if he does,
have a very blessed 21st lustful promiscuous lascivious salacious cornucopia beanstalk xiaokang ! :D

Finished with William Golding's Lord of the Flies. I'm never very analytical when I read so wikipedia is really quite helpful. Got a much better understanding of the fine line between civility and savagery and the baseness evident in every human. A little too descriptive a book though. Just started on Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea as recommended by Sally. Also have Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar to keep me company. One week more to the start of work ! Please let me have fully recovered by then. 2010 has not been kind to my health.
