I love Mount Emily ! It's quiet and simple. Just kinda inaccessible. Brings back memories. I think I might have my birthday there, haha. Don't be too alarmed gwei & zkai. There are swings and I managed to traverse the monkey bars ! :D Who knew right ! Should keep doing so to work off the arm fats. The hardened skin on my palms feels satisfying. :x
Haven't been out with pyong for quite a bit. I miss her !

Finally done with Paul Aster's Leviathan. It's actually a pretty intriguing book and I quite love the way it's told. :) Reminds me somewhat of ASOUE. Am currently reading John Steinback's Of Mice and Men. Their lingo's pretty hard to understand at times but it's a short book. Feel like taking thai. Will come in useful if I decide to go for field studies. But 6 tones and it's awfully difficult to write ! Rawr. I'm perpetually hungry, shucks. Why is there nothing to eat at home ?! Hungry hungry hungry.

Realised I've been out every day the past week. Not exactly a good thing. But am fulfilled indeed ! Spent monday with zkai, tuesday with p10, wednesday with papi, thurs with aggie, lwei, jchao & zkai, friday with stalkers minus sk and saturday with (mostly) mrong, alumni, p10 and sooks.
At least I am checking off things on my to do list. Slowly but surely. Cycling, Bukit Timah Hill, Tree top walk. There's still Southern Ridges, Pulau Ubin, Sentosa, Botanic Gardens, Marina Barrage and kayaking. I've just added Night Safari, Sengkang Swimming Complex and kite flying. If you realise, it's all outdoorsy stuff. I hope people aren't too busy or lazy to enjoy the outdoors with me.
Life could be a dream now.. :) The last two weeks have to be bloody amazing.

The before & after of the meat dress. Quite a barbecue it went through.Hope I get to see Shawn in school often, he cracks me up. Am really itching to go cycling. I really miss the weather in Paris because I do so want to sit on a grassy knoll and read. Some people are prone to melting in the Singapore sun. :/ On another note, I will have to break out my new heels soon. Oxfords, they are. :D Hope my problematic feet will be pacified by gorgeousness of the shoes.

Gosh. I feel obliged to carry this out and will feel extremely guilty if I don't. Then again my heart is not in this so it's not a very good thing to be forcing myself. Sigh.
This is really a good time for someone to talk to.
I feel horrible. I feel sick. Maybe maybe I ought to be sick. It used to be so easy. It is a good thing that it is so much harder now. The guilt is difficult to bear. STUPID. STUPID DECISIONS AND COWARDICE. That's the price I have to pay for not having some balls when I had to grow a pair. Bloody hell. Why'd I have to dig my own grave. So far it's only getting deeper and darker. Suffocating. Bloody. And this is not even a matter of grave importance. (excuse the pun)
Excuses excuses excuses. Akin to flailing about in murky water. I'm only sinking faster. Feeble, pathetic, disgusting. Stop it stop it. Learn from this. Or suffer again.

Beautiful right ? Renoir's La danse a la ville in the Musee D'Orsay. We are singing Whitacre's This Marriage for GPT's wedding. He promised us fifty bucks each so I say we collect the money before it depreciates. HAHA. Had a good time cosying up with Princess and Mr Miyagi/Mr Brown. :) We will sleep under the stars soon ! So much to do, so little time !

Rah. So I went from being really excited about the prospect of a romp in botanic gardens and then meeting girlfriends today to feeling bored and mopey about having zero plans. People are always toying with my heart sigh. :(
Am re-living the utter devastation I felt on saturday. When I rushed out all by my lonely self into a dreary London shower just to wait at the stage door. An awkward lonesome little asian girl under the umbrella (I am not being overly dramatic zkai !). Only to learn that my oboeist friend Chris (who was here last year for the arts fest and was coincidentally standing in for someone and playing for Les Mis that night) had already left. I was hungry, wet, cold and utterly devastated. He was the nicest musician and I just missed that chance to say hello. Was looking forward to it through the musical. :(

I feel a bit restless and slightly bored at home. As much as I've already spent about 11 days walking about close to non-stop, haha. Or maybe it's because of that. I HAVEN'T CYCLED YET ! WHEN ARE WE GOING TO ECP/SENTOSA ???
Anyway, life is good. I am probably going to take Natural Resources: Policy and Practice (excited for this one ! (: although first time in 4 sems that my monday isn't free..), Cultural Landscapes, Music in the Global Context, either Crime Fiction in English and Chinese (exciting ! though may be severely disadvantaged in the chinese part) or Reading Visual Images (read: visual arts) and either Geographies of Development/Globalization in Asian Cities/Planet Earth. I'm miffed that there isn't Animal Behaviour or Natural Heritage this semester. Still unsure if I should go for field studies.. Y'know, if I'd taken another mod last sem I'd be able to qualify for level 4 geog mods. Oh sigh. My three S/Us remain ! I'd better clear a gem and breadth this sem.. Assuming I don't go for field studies, I have to take 6 mods in either sem. HRM. And one of them has to be cartography or some nonsense. :/ Decisions decisions..
2 parties and 4 birthdays coming up. That and practices starting/resuming. Plus kiki and graces are back ! If only for a while.. (jema ! you're in fiji with weiyong ?!? is that why you're not home !? haha) If only qua weren't having her internship :( Haven't seen pten in eons !

Only 19 minutes left ! At an internet cafe in Leicester (West End) cos I can't access in the hotel. Ironically. It's more posh than the paris one and it's 8 pounds an hour, madness !!!! Anyway, am missing everyone and almost everything in Singapore. I must say though that the guys in Paris are all SUPER CUTE. Even those average toms and dicks and harrys. HAHA. Everything is bloody expensive and it is COLD. So much for summer. No wonder everyone looks good in Europe. Just throw on a coat, leggings and boots and you are so hot this season. Haha. I miss noodles ! And I hope everyone is not having too much fun without me haha.. I know graces and kiki are back and I can't wait to see them ! Okays, got to go. Am high with the thought of being able to communicate somehow with home. (ebuddy) Haha, misses and kisses !

Fantastically fruitful day with Gwei, Zkai, Saffie, Mrong, Pyong and Aggie. HSBC treetop walk and then a pretty impromptu swim. Ahhh, the life ! :D Also got to finally say hi to Darwin ! He's a big boy heh. Am abso-freaking-lutely tired now. I've never been on a 12 hour flight I think. (how long was my flight to Sweden ? hrms) Hope that I'll be able to sleep like a baby. Also, that there'll be no turbulence or anything nasty. Okay sorry am always very paranoid about plane trips. Blame it on the overactive imagination.
Okay got to go. See you guys soon. :) Pray for me !

After goodness knows how many months of whining and wheedling for people to go with me, I finally hiked up bukit timah hill !!! :D AWE-SUM.
Went with pops and aggie (thanks for suggesting it !). Was vastly disappointed by the summit. :( No view from the top. No trickling stream. I didn't even see any monkeys ! :( Rah. We are so going to climb kota kinabalu one day. Still, the first steep climb was pretty gruelling and exciting mmms.. WHEN ARE WE SWIMMING AND CYCLING ?!
Pyong joined us for a hawker lunch at the pretty retro beauty world centre. Then we proceeded to west mall for arcade games and ice cream at Udders ! Bathed at aggie's place and spent the afternoon BOL-ing and NOMNOMNOM-ing. :S Hurhur. Journey to the west concluded with sumptious xiaolongbaos and fried dumpling noodles at west mall.
Pretty fulfilling west side story !
The thought that I might have to quarantine myself at home when I get back is A LOT SUCK. :(
