I combined 3 challenges with this card once I knew where I was going with everything. I had an idea for the "Red Hood" for the Stamp it Crazy challenge kicking around in my head for a couple of days and had the image from SIC as a freebie over on CDAC this month. Just had to make the cloak. Using red organza I fashioned a hooded cloak, using wire (metal) to keep the hood shape, having already coloured the image using PM's.
Then started on making the roses. This was to compliment the roses on the "Halloween Bride" papers from Crafty Chaos. I made loads as you can see, 13 to be precise, and because I also wanted to enter this into the Rock n Rolla Challenge for September over on the Smeared and Smudged forum they had to be red. This month is based on the gothic song "Where The Wild Roses Grow"by Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue.
Then the base of the easel card....... more roses. This time on a triangle of red card, the edges of which I trimmed with red and black ribbon, cut to form triangles. The black heart is made from plaiting black ribbon with more wire (metal again). Then the essential object for any vampire - somewhere to wait out the daylight hours - a coffin - made from black cardstock. This also provides the anchor for the easel.
