Tomic Challenge - Sketch

Hi everyone, the card I show you today is made for the new challenge at TOMIC, where the have a sketch to work with. But not only this... no character stamp is allowed and an embossed part is needed as well... sigh... not that easy and really challenging for me, as I always use a character stamp on my cards. I decided to put a sentiment as main part of my card, and wanted to use those lovely sunflowers from Magnolia. As embossed part I made a butterfly border.

The sentiment I used is from Whiff of Joy. And I coloured the flowers with Copics.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Christmas in July

Hi everyone my dear friends and visitors, have you noticed that I changed the layout of my blog? Well, I wanted it to be more open and oversightable..hm.. I guess this word doesn't exists in english, but I'm sure you know what I mean.. :o). I changed it from three columns to just two, as this way I can show bigger photos of my creations. And I made a new header, a more neutral one. Hope you like it this way.

Now to my card... we still have one day of July, so not too late to show a Christmas in July card. I made it for the new challenge at TOMIC, where they ask for the traditional Christmas colours red, green and white, and stars as addition. Here is what I made...

I coloured the image with Distress Inks. On the piccie below you also can see all the glitz I added.

With this card I want to join following challenges:

I hope you enjoyed the posts lasts week I prepared before our departure.

Hi my dear friends and fellow crafters, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Were you able to spend some lovely hours together with your mum on this mothers day? Hope so. Today I want to show you another project I made this weekend. I just so love those bottle hangers, and so I created two more of them. The one I want to show you today...

I made some dry embossing... I so love this effect and I think it looks so nice on a bottle hanger. I just rediscovered it, as you maybe saw alreday on my previous project from today. Some Bunny Loves You

Hi my dear friends and visitors, are you doing fine? Did you enjoy few days off so far? Hope so, just as I did. Especially today was a great day for me. I went to the natur historical museum, where they have a special show each year over the Easter day. There you can see little chicks, when you're lucky enough you see them eclose, till they are few days old and can hold them in your hands. We saw two eclosing which was soooooo great. And I hold such a little cutie in my hands two times, both of them fell asleep in my hands. They might have love the warmth of my hands. This really was such a great experience I never had before as a city slicker...

Today I want to show you another Easter card I made those days. And to be honest I am quite satisfied with it. This may be because I love this image so much. Such a pity I have to put it away again for another year... I made this card for the newest TOMIC challenge where the theme is 'some bunny loves you'. It have to have a bunny on it, combined with a sketch and a photo inspiration.

I made the colouring with Copics. And to give the eggs a special effect I added some tranparent crackle paint to them. I love it.

Besides the TOMIC challenge I want to join following challenges:

Just Magnolia - anything goes

Bottle Decoration

Hi my dear friends out there! Hope you had a wonderful Saturday so far. We had quite a sunny day, but still very fresh because of some cold winds. Today I want to show you something different. At TOMIC the want to see a bottle decoration. I never made something like this before. And I wanted to make something different as the ones you normally see. I quite like what I had as a result...

I wanted to give my bottle decoration an Easter theme. So I used one of my favourite Tilda's. She is sooooooo cute. Love her! First I formed an egg with a thick wire, and made an additional round part on the top as the hanger, which is not to see on my pics. Then I crocheted with white yarn around the formed wire.

I coloured this sweetie with Distress Inks. And sat her on some orange bast.

On top of my 'egg' I added some ribbons, a big orange flower, some die cuts and two butterflies.

With this project I want to join following challenges:

TOMIC - Bottle decoration and butterflies
My Mum's Craft Shop - Spring has Sprung
Stampavie and More - Spring / Easter
Stempelsonnen - Easter

Have a wonderful weekend!

Magnolia Christmas Ornament

Hi my dear friends and fellow crafters. Today I want to show you one of my newest creations. I made something different this time; a Christmas ornament. This is the challenge theme at TOMIC this week.

I wanted to go a bit more natural with my ornament and picked up some thin branches outside and bonded them together with some twine to build a wooden star. Then I hung a tag on it and decorated it with few ribbons and flowers. I didn't want to add too much of embellishements as I wanted to keep the nativeness of my ornament.

Here you can see a close up of my ornament. I coloured it with distress inks and add a bit of stickles to the image.

Beside of TOMIC I want to join following other challenges:

Just Magnolia - White plus one other colour (green)
Sweet Stampin - Sparkling

Simply Magnolia - Christmas

Shaker Card at Tomic Challenges

Hi everyone my dear friends and visitors. Today I have something special for you to take a look at. It was a challenge for me, but had so much fun to do. So this will definitely not be the last shaker card I made. As it was the theme at the actual Tomic challenge I gave it a try. And I really love how it turned out.

A close up of the image, where you can see the glass splitters at the ground

I surrounded the 'window' with some beautiful vintage lace by Marianne D which gives the frame a lovely effect.

A close up after some shaking :o)

First I wanted to use some gelatine sheets for the window, but weren't able to get some at the local store. They only had gelatine powder. Well, I could have used it for the filling... :o)

The most of the items I used for this card are available at Bunny Zoe's Crafts:
