Layout Tuesday: Themed Papers Used In A New Way

Last Tuesday, we shared a layout documenting summer memories with the bright and colorful papers of the #Summer Collection. We came across a breathtaking layout using the same collection and just had to share it with you. This page by Ashley Fowler for American Crafts shows that the collection can be used for far more than summer themed pictures.

The layout's background is the #Roadtrip patterned paper. Ashley uses several other patterned papers to create additional circles on top of the pattern, adding photos, alphas, die cuts, stickers, and flair. You can see more of her process here.

Thank you for the great inspiration, Ashley! Have you ever used a themed paper in a new way?

Layout Tuesday: Smile

Good morning, paper crafters! It's time for another Layout Tuesday. Today's selection is a clean and simple design from a sample wedding album here in the store. A big thank you to Mr & Mrs Coldagelli for letting us use their GORGEOUS photos to inspire couples everywhere!

For this layout, the pictures were adhered directly to the background paper, a 12x12 piece of white cardstock. We used the same cardstock and the Silhouette Cameo to create the large title. The ability to cut any font, along with the weld option, make it so easy to add the title as one full piece.

To add some color, we grabbed embossed cardstock stickers from the Chalkboard Collection by We R Memory Keepers. Several pieces from the sticker sheet were layered onto the page with a die cut of a simple typed word.

We can't help but smile after looking at those candid photos. Stop into Creations Galore soon with your photos, and we'll help you pull together all the supplies and tools need to complete your own album. Love the idea, but don't have the time? Creations Galore also does custom albums. Call us at (920) 983-0033 to set up your complimentary consultation.

Layout Wednesday: Detour

Good morning! Nicole, here, doing things a little backwards this week on the blog. We gave all kinds of inspiration yesterday regarding the arrow trend. Inspired myself, I've used an arrow in today's Tuesday, I mean Wednesday, layout!

These are my dear friends, Rex and Charissa, who wed in a beautiful ceremony October 30, 2010. They happily handed over their photos from the planning stages to the first anniversary, and I couldn't be more honored to put them together in an album.

The couple headed to Mexico for their honeymoon. Inspired by the passport and the matching blue of the airline seats, I chose the Detour collection from BoBunny.

A few of the embellishments, such as the arrow, were a part of the Detour Rubons. The background papers are quite busy, and I was afraid the rubon would get lost. Therefore, I transfered it onto the white cardstock packaging that came with the rubons, cut out the arrow, and adhered it to the page.

You can find the Detour Collection in our online store or by visiting Creations Galore at 3164 Cornet Way in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Thanks again to the Coldagelli's for sharing their photos with us today!

*Creations Galore does custom albums, from simple to highly embellished, mini to extra large. Visit us in store or call Nicole at (920) 983-0033 for a free consultation.

A Weekend Of Wedding Fun

A big thank you to all of our customers for understanding our closing of the store this past Saturday. We apologize for any inconvenience it caused. The day was filled with love, family, friends, and lots of cake! The weather was perfect - the sun shining, the trees full of color, and no rain (or snow!) in sight.

Unfortunately, we were all having so much fun, we forgot to pull out the camera and take some photos of the festivities. That's what the fancy photographer is for, right?! Plus, our dresses were all out of pockets. Guys just don't appreciate those things! We wanted to share the day with you; therefore, we've compiled a few photos captured on Nicole's cell phone that afternoon.

For more information on Ryan and Elle, read this post.
