Watercolor With Distress Inks

We're back from all of the wedding and holiday fun, preparing new classes, projects, events, and products for you. That means our desks are overflowing with ideas. Here's a look at one of Nicole's recent projects that you can easily recreate.

We love the look of watercolor; however, quality kits can be pricey. Lucky for us (and you!) Distress Inks have a variety of uses, including watercolor. Recently, Nicole stamped this flower and leaves from a Stampendous set (new arrival!) and heat embossed it with white powder on Northwoods Watercolor Paper. 

Next she created a palette by pressing the ink pads directly onto an acrylic block. You could also use a craft sheet or piece of acetate. Today's project used Dusty Concord, Shaded Lilac, Pine Needles, and Peeled Paint Distress Inks. Nicole used a water brush to pick up the inks and add them to the images, drying each layer with a heat tool.
